    Always tl;dr

Yeah, hopefully it'll be that much easier to use. Then people who never got ti see Knuckle will get him and some shiny trophies.

Possibly, but VC games are usually straight ports. As the ESRB has to play through them again to rate them, it's more work (and time and money) to get them to play through another edited game than to just leave a straight port. But it's really not that big of a deal. Should be the same gaming experience.

And drawing on maps?! Imagine how useful that'd be in such a game! Treasure hunting might actually be fun!

Hahaha. Rebecca, I'm sorry but for whatever reason that made me laugh so hard. If it's any consolation, when I was a kid all my asshole friends had a gameboy that they would eagerly flaunt in my face but I wasn't allowed to own one because my parents thought I would become a shut in, start smoking crack and worshipping the devil, then shoot up a school..
By the time the gba had come out I managed to convince the parents that having a gameboy would use up all the free time that would have otherwise been allotted for crack smoking and the like.

You'd think 'hidden content' like that would already be included in a game's rating though - since it was already present in the game at the time of ESRB rating and as long as they just moved the code around without changing anything it'd be cool. Who knoews, I guess, but I'm hoping it's there.

Initially, yeah. But they have to be re-released, so the ESRB has to play through them again. And if that's the case, if there's hidden content that's inaccessible, they won't have to rate it. It'd go by faster. Of course, the inaccessible content is just the GBA content, but I guess time is time.

I loved the password system. I nearly shit my pants when I got my L3 sword. I hope it returns, maybe just using game data if nothing else.

That's cool and all, but I can play the Oracle games anytime I want on my PSP... I mean GBC.
Why doesn't Nintendo actually make some new games?

    @N!ck -
Nintendo just announced a new Zelda title coming for the Wii U. I'm pretty sure the Oracle titles are just to tide us over till we get it.

I own Ages and have beat it, but never had Seasons. Great titles. I've been asking Nintendo to bring these games to the eShop forever. Defiantly picking them up.
    Definitely.

What's with all the antagonism, Nick?

Besides, by that logic we should never buy anything from any eShop ever. Most of us have either lost our cartridges, never owned them or would prefer the convenience of having the titles on a single device whilst supporting one of our favourite developers.

Alright, so update. I was just panicking trying to find tickets to a movie that apparently isn't being released for another few weeks (fucking flixter jerking me off...) but anyways, as fate would have it in doing so I came across this.
Basically Eiji Aonuma has stated that he thinks these games will be released on the 3DS eshop outside of Japan 'sometime before Summer'.
That's not so far away! Nice to have an actual estimate at least.
...cushions the blow a little of finding out that the next Ghibli movie is getting a fucking silly release...

Are these going to be like...Straight up ports or will it be a 3D classic? For some reason I can't stand playing VC games that don't utilize all of the screen.
BUT I AM EXCITED DON'T GET ME WRONG A DROP!

Well I'm not entirely sure to be honest, but from what I've heard it sounds like they're going to be straight ports. Haha. Sorry Orahasuki. Maybe you could cover the bottom screen with a sticky note that has like a little hand drawn Zelda map or a motivational phrase on it. :P

Didn't Link's Awakening adjust the resolution so it filled the whole screen? Also, has anyone done the thing where you hold select and it runs the game in its original resolution, but with afake gbc border? I can't believe I used to play things on such a tiny screen!
