don't you beat Seasons, than Ages, than rebeat seasons for thefinal ending? I mean you can beat ages, than seasons, than ages again. Isn't that how it worked?

    SO MANY POSTS!

Yes! I may finally finished the only Zelda games I've never played, and I've heard great things about these titles! After 5 long years, I will finally have played every game in the series... how cathartic! :'D

@Ice - aha, there it is! XD
Yeah it's funny, everyone I talk to mentions that Seasons has more emphasis on action and Ages more on puzzle. I'll honestly be surprised though if they don't allow the password communication. It's like you say, the games are made to be played in conjunction. If they didn't allow the password and what not it would be like releasing the games incomplete wouldn't it? Plus what reason would they have for not implementing it?

I own Ages and have beat it, but never had Seasons. Great titles. I've been asking Nintendo to bring these games to the eShop forever. Defiantly picking them up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been praying to the three goddesses for this day. Ever since they started doing gameboy games on the e-shop these are the only two games I've been able to think about.
Boy, and we got an official timeline this last year. What a strange and wonderful time we are living in!

    Hates fun.

Wasn't the password system just a 'type this stuff in' affair? I imagine if that's the case it'll be easy to include it in the eShop release.

@Capt. - Yeah, at least that's the impression I was under. I feel like it would be more work to cut it than it would be to leave it in.

It is. The games also featured the use of the GBC link - you didn't need to put the password in for it to work. There's also the GBA connectivity, but I suppose that can't really be emulated at this point in time, which sucks :/

well maybe not on the 3ds, but i've succesfully emulated games on GBA with a link cable to trade pokemon and stuff on my computer before. But i can easily see them just adding a feature to the games to trasnfer the passwords eaisly. I don't think they will limit us.

I don't think they'd edit anything for a GBC VC release. It seems like too much work. The Cables weren't required - they just made things easier. The carts were made to played in the GBA (the games themselves were designed as a "last hoorah" for the GBC to begin with), so plugging the games into the GBA let you get special rings and such. It's not a big deal, but it would definitely be cool to see that kind of connectivity on the 3DS.

So then the gba connecting is like a Tingle Tuner type of deal for Windwaker, just little extra secrets but no real impact on the games or anything? If that's the part you were saying will likely get cut then yeah that makes sense, or do you think they won't include the password thing allowing you to fight Ganon? That would be lame if that got cut..

Nah, you can still fight him without the GBC cable. It's just the special rings and screenshot stuff that gets cut. And a special island, if I recall. Though that might be a different game if I recall...

Either way, super stoked! GIMME NAO

    Always tl;dr

I don't remember missing out on any islands (I never had a cable. Or friends for that matter... LOL). I'm pretty sure you get everything but rings and pictures without the cable.

    Hates fun.

If the code exists in the game for the extra rings etc I'm sure there'll be some way of dragging it to the surface, it might even just be enabled by default.

    EDIT

Speaking of the Tingle Tuner though, I was thought 'man, sad how the WW HD remake wont be able to have that' and then realised that the Wii U comes with a whole goddamn tablet.
