So according to this article from Zelda-Informer, both Seasons and Ages are being released on the 3DS virtual console in Japan within the next month, and a worldwide release has been confirmed but no date yet.

Personally I'm freaking psyched. I've been waiting for these two games to get put in the 3DS shop for a while now as I've never found the time to play through either of them before. I have Ages on gbc but it's old and I don't want to get far into it to find out the battery is dead and my save data is gone. I have some money in my 3DS shop account that's been collecting dust waiting for these two games.

    Hates fun.

Neat! The GBC titles were great entries into the series and seriously underappreciated. I borrowed them both off a friend years ago, but it'll be great to have my own copies.

I played a little of each years ago, but not much. Apparently if you buy both at the same time there's a slight price cut as well which is cool, because I'm looking to beat both and utilize that code to fight Ganon or whatever after the second game is completed.

I hear a lot of praise for these games though, especially Seasons. That game is my friend's all time favorite Zelda title.

    Always tl;dr

Honestly, these were the first Zelda games I ever played! I don't think I'll get them since both of my copies still work. But you guys, if you get both, there's basically 4 storylines you can go through. Ages/Seasons whole games. Then you get a code from each of them to play on the other. So for example, you can play Seasons first and get a code to continue the story on Ages. There's two. Then you can go the other way. Start with Ages and the continue onto Seasons. It's pretty freaking awesome. I still have never played Seasons with a code I think.

@Lg - Oh wow. I knew about the whole code thing but I didn't realize it changed things depending on which game you beat first. It only changes very minimal things though right? Or is it like a whole other experience??

Well I guess I'd say it's in between the two. Not entirely different games, but not the same game with little easter eggs sprinkled in. The dungeons are still the same, but the end bosses and a lot of the storyline is very different, and side quests you do in the 1st game before carry over to the 2nd game. I'm sure Ice will be able to explain it better when he sees this thread, but it really is worth getting both of them in my opinion. ;)

Oh man I had Seasons when it was first release, but I lost it before I ever managed to beat it. This is an instant buy for me. After recently getting Ocarina of Time and Link's Awakening on my 3DS I think these will be a great addition to my newly started collection.

Now if only they'd rerelease Majora's Mask

Okay so, for those that are wondering -

Oracle of Seasons and Ages are linked titles - when they were originally released on the GBC, they were designed to be played one after the other - you beat one game, and it gives you a password. You plug that password into the other title, and you, literally, pick up where you left off. The story's happen at the same exact time - and it's up to the player, depending on the order in which he/she plays, to determine the "order" so to speak. There's many "Linked" features - whenever you beat one game and move to the other, all of your character interactions transfer. For example, if your name is "Link", everyone in the second game will already know it. Your rings and certain items carry over, etc.

Oracle of Seasons is more action based - more enemies to beat, harder dungeons, etc.

Oracle of Ages is more puzzle based - time traveling, more in game puzzles, more challenging dungeon puzzles, etc.

    They're both AMAZING.

But I don't know how they're going to handle the communication between the two this time around. It might not even exist. Even if it doesn't these are both amazing titles.
