If your like myself, and this is your first experience with this series, IGN has some great tips & strategies for newcomers. Even if you're a veteran of the Fire Emblem series, you may still want to check it out. Spoiler: click to toggle Edit: Does anynody know if you still receive the hologram cards, if you purchase the "Champions of Yore" three pack? I noticed the three pack only requires 56 blocks of space, and the "Champions of Yore" map packs one & two require 57 blocks by themselves alone. It doesn't really matter to me at this point, because I already decided upon purchasing this set of maps seperately. But I'd just like to know if I could've saved myself a few dollars, so I'll know better the next time a map bundle becomes available. Edited by SunDown, Feb 9 2013, 07:18 PM.

Doing some necroposting here, since I figured this didn't deserve its own thread when there's a perfectly good Awakening thread halfway down the page. Nintendo have just announced that sales of Fire Emblem: Awakening have broken the one million copies mark. They also state that this has basically saved the series as they were considered shelving the franchise if it didn't meet certain sales goals. This and the fact that people are buying enough DLC to hit the value of another full DS game is really good news for the franchise and I expect it means we can expect to be seeing more this generation. Hopefully a WiiU outing is being considered. |

^ Aw, this makes me proud, and I don't even own the game! It's the little franchise that could. Actually, you can kinda look at this as almost like the 3DS itself - coming from obscurity but launching into stardom. Between Fire Emblem, Luigi's Mansion, and Animal Crossing, the 3DS has been exploding this year. And man, Monster Hunter 4 and Pokemon X/Y are coming just a little later in the year... So things are looking very strong for a long time. |

I'm glad a super-hardcore game like Awakening is doing well. It definitely deserves it. It's a fantastic game. |

It's awesome that they've penetrated the 1M mark. It really is a great game, and while I still think the DLC pattern is pricy, it's awesome to see that it's selling well. Now make SMTxFE stellar, and I think the franchise will have a long, healthy life. |
