I think Nintendo has set the stage for what we can expect to see at E3. We'll see The Wind Waker HD, we'll see the new Yoshi game, we'll see Smash Bros., we'll see the new Mario team game. But I think showing Retro's game is a must, as long as it's not Metroid Prime 4 or Donkey Kong Country Returns 2. Don't get me wrong, I think another Metroid Prime game would be wicked, but I want them work on something new, like a new IP. |

I'd say we'll most definitely receive some type of news about Nintendo's next (original) handheld Zelda title for the 3DS. Though, I doubt the same for the WiiU, because it won't even be a year old by then. Plus, I think Wind Waker HD is Nintendo's way of keeping their Legend of Zelda fanbase content, until that day arises. As LK mentioned, I also believe we'll hear some more indepth information about the next Super Smash Bros. title. Which I hope will feature cross-platform intergration w/online & local multiplayer. I think there may be a chance that we might also hear something about a new 2D or 3D Metroid title for the 3DS. I'm hoping for 2D.

Man. Smash Bros gets a full reveal THIS E3. I cannot wait. But yeah - they've got an extremely solid lineup of possible things to show already - New 3D Mario platformer Mario Kart U Wii U Party (for stockholders, you know) SMASH BROS Wii U and 3DS Wind Waker HD Yarn Yoshi Monolith Soft's new Xeno-RPG New Zelda 3DS (which they're pretty much bound to show at this point) Pokemon X and Y (unlikely since Pokemon rarely shows at E3, but still possible) Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney crossover (this would be a small thing, as it's already in Japan) Fire Emblem-SMT crossover Virtual Console announcements (once the spring 30'th anniversary thing is over, it'll be time for the real stuff) Bayonetta 2 Retro's Mystery Project I'm sure I'm forgetting some - and this is not taking into account possible surprise games/features, which Nintendo is so famous for. I think that the only thing they really need to do to "win" or whatever, is to have a good showing. They need to pace everything out well, show what stockholders want to see, show what gamers want to see, show that they have a bright future ahead of them and give people reason to believe it. |
