Do you think it would have been a good Idea for Nintendo to have DLC updates that ADD Pokemon from future generations to Pokemon games like Soul silver and heart Gold? that way We could battle with players that owned any of the B/W series. because I feel like I should be able to play any Pokemon region I want to and not have to buy a whole new game all the time in other words, It gives me more freedom. What do you think?

Not to mention easy for Nintendo to pull out (If not with older generations, they could start the newest games with capabilities for later generations).

The algorithms for calculating encounter rates, damage, capture rates, and values assigned to moves, pokemon positions, and general coding would have to be either re-written or replaced, as they are much different in Black and White/Black and White 2. Either way, those cartridges are only so big - they'd have to update the cartridge itself with all of the sprite work, animations, move animations, scripts, values, cries, and anything else missing. To my knowledge, Heart Gold and Soul Silver used 128Mb Carts. I don't think the cart is large enough to accommodate all of the updates needed. Black and White 2 have DLC upcoming, but those carts were designed with DLC in mind, or with DLC as a possiblity (and they are certainly large enough to handle it.) It would be cool, but I don't think it's possible. On a game for the 3DS, certainly, as those carts are much larger, and they have access to the 3DS and SD card's memory (and it's half gig flash memory), but not the Carts themselves, and certainly not for Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Not unless it was run off of the SD card, which in itself, would be slow. And honestly, it's not really worth Game Freak's time, I wouldn't think. Better off working on a newer game.
