What if Nintendo made a Wii U version of Hey you, Pikachu!? That would actually be possible. Nintendo is currently working on the Wii U microphone. This will be used in the upcoming game SiNG. Considering that Nintendo is selling these microphones seperately (although you may get a free Wii U microphone if you buy SiNG), it is possible that Nintendo is going to use these microphones in more than one Wii U game. Since the original Hey You, Pikachu! was played with a microphone, it is possible that Nintendo could make Hey You, Pikachu! for Wii U. This would be wonderful considering many people have never played this wonderful game. What do you guys think?

Isn't there a built in mic into the WiiU tablet controller?

Either way, that'd be pretty awesome. I'd definitely try it out. Facial recognition software would make it a pretty cool interactive experience.

I'm pretty sure they aren't releasing this outside of japan.

I'm almost positive they are - isn't that singing game made by an American company? I don't see why they wouldn't release it out side of Japan.

But even so, the WiiU might have a built in mic, but it's for talking, not singing. As someone who works with microphones and audio tech pretty often, I can tell you that they are NOT the same thing.

Well, I think the built in microphone is only going to be used for tiny things kind of like in Mario Party DS and stuff. Plus it would make sense to talk in the separate microphone in Hey You, Pikachu! considering there was a Microphone Accessory for the Nintendo 64.

The WiiU tablet has video chat and call features, so I imagine the Mic would be well enough to handle that.

I never had a chance to play the original, but if they rereleased it I would probably check out the new one!

Yeah I never played the original either, but it always seemed pretty amusing. I would probably check out a sequel.
Although I'd rather see a Pokemon Snap sequel..
