I love buying old consoles to play games like Earthbound, Sonic Adventure 2, you name it, But what do you guys think would be the best way to get those games mobile? The E-shop is pretty good. But their selection isn' up to par yet. And besides I'd love to play anything at least up to N64. And I don't think Emulators are illegal if you own the actual Game. Not sure if that's in the question. Bottom line: what's the best single device for playing all your favorite video games? |

To this day, it's still my DSi. I have my Supercard DSTWO, that lets me play NES/SNES/GB/GBC/GBA/DS/32x/TB16/MAME/PC Engine games, as well as movies, videos, browse the internet, chat online, etc. Ideally, I'd use it on a 3DSXL, but with Nintendo as they are with flashcarts, I think I'll wait. My phone and tablet just can't compete with that, though I can play N64/PS1 games on them, so eh. |

The only thing I never liked about playing on a tablet was using a touch screen to control the Game. (no rebound on the buttons) I do have a 3DS, So I'll look into that. |

If I were you, I wouldn't try to utilise a flashcart of any kind in your 3DS Orahasuki. Nintendo just released another firmware update to block out specific flashcarts. If you were to receive a system update while your 3DS is modified, it will render your 3DS useless, and Nintendo will not repair it for you.

Actually, it's the other way around - Nintendo released an update that renders the flash carts useless. Granted, I think all of the major teams have found a way around it, but that's about it - everything from here out will require a constant flow of new flash cartridges. Whiiiiich is why I said I'd rather a 3DSXL. Get it once, get the flashcard, never update, use it as your main form of emulation. Juicy Screens + 25 years of gaming = sex. |

Playing something like Dream Drop Distance on a train with headphones in makes me feel like gaming on the go is definitely the best thing that's ever happened to teenagers ever. YOU CAN PLAY A FRIKKING HUGE RPG ON A BEACH. A REAL, ACTUAL, HUGE FRIKKING BEACH. Video-games have come a long way. If a Halo game ever comes out on a portable console, that could be the most awesome thing to happen to portable FPSes ever, because that shit would be awesome. Awesome. Awesome. AWEESOME. I've had a lot of mountain dew. Peace out. TWO FOR ONE SALE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO |

Ah... My bad. I'm not very educated in that respect IceCatraz. I've never been the type to partake in piracy myself. You know, that's why the Wii's VC did so poorly, don't you? Publishers didn't really want to touch it, because of the amount of piracy. I hope piracy doesn't ruin the potential of the 3DS' VC too. |

Well a on the go device that has my favorite games is definitely my DSi. I still have my old DS and GBA, but I sold my GBA SP. Made like 50 bucks off of it, when I couldn't even sell the charger! I just play GBA games on my DS. But anyways, I play my DSi quite a bit still. I can play all my favorite games on the go on it. Such as Kirby games, Scribblenauts, Pokemon, New Super Mario Bros. (original), etc.Way better than any iPhone game in my opinion. |
