So BonslyGuy, who are you? Tell us a bit about yourself?

Well, I am a sophomore in high school, living in the state of Georgia. I'm about 6 feet tall, and kind of shy. Though when I'm around my friends, I'm as outgoing as the next guy. I'm Cuban, Irish, and Italian, and I love video games.

How did you find Nintendo Forums?

Well, it's really quite simple. I wanted to find a forum devoted to all things Nintendo, and with helpful members, and I certainly found myself a doozy.

What made you choose to stay on the forum?

All of the members seemed like very nice people, and I had never really been a part of a forum before, so I figured this place was a great place to start my formal internet life and career, so to speak.

Your top 3 video games?

Well, number one would have to be Super Mario Sunshine. I just love everything about the game. Shine sprites are the subject of many of my doodles on school papers.
Now Number two is Portal 2, I love its humor, mechanics, and the British accents are a constant reminder of my wonderful trip to England a constant reminder
As for the third, Pokémon Platinum would take that cake. I loved the anime and the game made the Pokemon experience that much more real for me.

What is the origin of your username?

Well, for those who don't know, I am a guy. And since Bonsly is my favorite Pokémon, I stuck the two together and voila. It works even better because it rhymes.

Do you have any heroes?

Not to be cliché, but my parents are my heroes. They have showed me how to live my life, told me their mistakes, and how to avoid making the same ones in the future. They are the smartest people I know, and I always enjoy talking with them.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

Well, my favorite sport is tennis, I often practice it and I was on the team in 8th grade, last year, and hopefully this year. I also like to draw, though I mainly just stick to drawing cartoons by looking at them, nothing to write home about. I also enjoy listening music and practicing my Spanish.


What is your favorite type of music, or do you have any favorite bands?

I don't really have a favorite type of music, I like a lot of different types, even oldies. My favorite band is Coldplay, I really like their sound and the fact that they sound the same live as they do in the studio. I have also recently taken an interest in Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

What annoys you or gets under your skin?

When people act stupid or dumb to get attention. I see it in people I know, and it drives me insane. Why degrade yourself for other people's attention? Shouldn't you try to get attention by being yourself? I also hate when people say your opinion is wrong because it doesn't match their own. It's called an opinion for a reason.

What are your favorite movies or TV shows?

I do have a few Desert Island Movies, as my mom calls them. Some of my favorites would be Remember the Titans, The Karate Kid (2010), and West Side Story. Black Swan was pretty cool too. As for TV shows, I'm usually watching Law and Order, (SVU, Regular, and one episode of Criminal Intent), Cold Case, NCIS, Suits, Covert Affairs, Attack of the Show, X-Play, Top Shot, Rizzoli and Isles, and America's Got Talent.

Which consoles do you own?

I have a Wii, Gamecube, PSP and a Playstation 3, and I play my brother's DS Lite as well. I also make use of the Wii's Virtual Console for some of the older games.

Do you have any future plans?

I want to go to the University of Georgia. As for a degree, I'm not quite sure. I want to do something where I can help people and travel the world. I also want to live in New York City, I love going there. I wanted to be an Assisstant District Attorney for NYC, but that's only because it looked cool on Law and Order. I also want to own a boat one day and go to the lake every week like my friend. I also hope to become fluent in not only Spanish, but possibly Japanese or Chinese and maybe Russian or another European language. That would be awesome.

Anything else you would like to say?

I really enjoy talking to new and interesting people around the world on the Internet. Not only has it taught me about video games, interacting with what would normally be referred to as complete strangers has taught me about myself. Many of us might not realize it, but these online interactions have a huge impact on our lives, maybe not as much as one might think. Cherish them as you would any other privilege in your life.

Well, I'm not really anyone. I spend most of my time doodling on my tablet, eating Ramen, and playing Minecraft. I spend all my time at home. I'm kind of like, deteriorated and dead. No one special, really.

How did you find Nintendo Forums?

Searching up "Nintendo forums".

What made you choose to stay on the forum?

The ability to be able to more carefully moderate and mold what I say on the internet let me make a few friends here. And lots of enemies. D: I don't have real life friends. So I enjoyed at least talking to people.

Your top 3 video games?

I'd have to say Minecraft as number one. It provides such an escape from real life. There's always something new and exciting to do. It is unique in that. No other game makes you feel...appreciated, and like you've done something. It's friendly, easy to start, and the joy of exploration and diversity of activities captivated me when I first heard of it.
My second would be Worms: Open Warfare 2 for the DS. That game is just really fun. I love strategy games.
I've recently bought Portal Two. I like it a lot. It's creative and ingenious. The graphics are very nice.

What is the origin of your username?

I had an extremely odd obsession with cardboard boxes from ages six to ten. I made the username as I was J(ude) master of boxes when I was nine, when I made my gmail, the first thing I used a name for. It stuck with everything.

Do you have any heroes?

Probably my friend Jess. She's very elegant, articulate, and intelligent. Not to mention gorgeous. I've always looked up to her.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

I spend my time gaming, drawing on my tablet, listening to music, reading classics, eating, and sleeping.

What is your favorite type of music, or do you have any favorite bands?

I absolutely love Chopin, but my favorite stuff would be alternative and dubstep. Soul Coughing and Gorillaz are my favorite artists. Their music is just awesome. It gives me this odd feeling of some trance, and I love it. Skrillex, deadmau5, Daft Punk are good. Foreigner, Boston. I dunno. I kind of like the harshness of Skrillex's stuff. I don't like deadmau5 as much. Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Sublime, etc...

What annoys you or gets under your skin?

Homophobia. Racism, any kind of prejudice really pisses me off like hell. At school, a kid complained that he hated deaf people so I kicked him in the stomach.
When people don't realize that they're being insensitive, or just don't care.
Also, the lack of matching socks.

So Capt, who are you? Tell us a bit about yourself?

Oh jeez, I feel all self conscious! I'm a Welsh, English Language and Literature undergrad who spends his weekends either lifeguarding or being a receptionist. in my AMPLE spare time I try to play the Ukulele, read a whole bunch of intellectual looking novels, swim, learn far too much about making costume armour ( life dream: build suit of Iron man armour) and, of course, play videogames. (Which I also collect)

How did you find Nintendo Forums?

Oh jeez, I originally joined way back in 2006, a member called VJ, who hasn't posted for years. Basically jumped me online one day and was all 'OH HEY DUDE, JOIN THIS SWEET NINTENDO FORUM' and I was all 'YEAH, BRAH'. My recent rediscovery was due to me going through my folders, finding an image I'd drawn for NF years ago and wondering if the place was still around. Turned out it was!

What made you choose to stay on the forum?

The only real reason I left is because I went travelling in Australia, came back to a full time job, then university, so I didn't really have the time to be lurking forums, but I've changed my degree scheme since all that so now I have tons of time and I'm just super bored 8-)

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

I'm pretty sporadic with hobbies, but I like to swing between reading, playing the Uke, swimming, videogames, dicking around and experimenting with making fake armour, watching live music and collecting rare-ish videogames

What annoys you or gets under your skin?

People who don't think about other people, pretty much. The ones that never see the bigger picture beyond themselves. You know, the kind that'll play their music out loud on a train, drop rubbish, take all the mini-sausages at a buffet. you know the sort.

What are your favorite movies or TV shows?

In terms of movies, I really like the Ghibli films, the Pixar films and a lot of the classic franchises like Indiana Jones or Back to the Future. I'm not really a TV guy, but recently I've been enjoying the heck out of Breaking Bad, the American Office and the Walking Dead

Finish my English Language and Literature degree, have enough money to go and teach kids to swim on one of those 'camp America' schemes. So CaptOlimar001, who are you? Tell us a bit about yourself?

Well, I'm a 16 year old boy from a suburb of Chicago in Illinois, St Charles.

How did you find Nintendo Forums?

Well it started in about July of 2008 when I was 13. I was getting bored of this other forum, that was based off a website that made flash animations. I wanted to join another forum with more interesting members that was more based on gaming. And at the time my favorite game designer was Nintendo. So I searched nintendo forums on google and found this. I joined and felt right at home.

What made you choose to stay on the forum?

Well, like I said I really felt at home there. Plus I had made a few really good friends there, and I learned a lot about games there. Some new and some old. Some of the people I became really close to were Picklegod and Xreaper2070 (Not active anymore), but we keep in touch.

Your top 3 video games?

Well, I'm gonna include game series and games that have expansion packs
1. World of Warcraft
2. Pikmin Series
3. Kirby Series

What is the origin of your username?

Haha, my name doesn't have much of an origin, because it isn't very creative. When I originally joined it was ~CaptOlimar001~ but eventually I got tired of the grave accents and just changed it to CaptOlimar001. The only origin to it is that I joined right around after I completed Pikmin 1 and started playing Pikmin 2. And then added 3 random numbers. Really fell in love with the character Olimar, so just chose that name.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

Really, I don't do much. I mainly enjoy listening to music, gaming, hanging out with friends, and smoking weed. Or a combination of them

Do you have any heroes?

I guess so yeah. There are people that inspire me. First of all, my mom. Because she has been a single mother for 6 years and our dad hasn't really done anything for us. And she has been able to put up with the stress of working 2 jobs and having 3 kids go through depression and hospitalization for the depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts/attempts and self injury, me being one of those kids. And the second would probably be Jeremy McKinnon, the lead singer of A Day to Remember, mainly because I can emotionally connect to all of the bands' songs, and they are my favorite band. Also, because in interviews Jeremy has mentioned things like "We never really expected to be famous and get all these fans, and along with that, all these people that hate us, or hate how our music has changed. If they don't like it anymore, that's fine. If they do, that's great. We just write what we want to write about. Cope with life through music." Which is something I really respect, because I am the same, because I am too a singer. Which I guess I forgot to mention in my hobbies

My favorite types of music are Metal, Alternative, Screamo, Hardcore, Post-Hardcore and classic rock. Also I listen to a lot of video game sound tracks. A little bit of Dubstep here and there as well. And yeah, favorite bands are A Day to Remember, Hollywood Undead, Five Finger Death Punch, Asking Alexandria, Alexisonfire, Of Mice & Men, Attack Attack!, The Devil Wers Prada, Sick Puppies, System of a Down, We Came as Romans, and We Are the Ocean.

What annoys you or gets under your skin?

Hmm. Probably people that are ignorant. But then again, that is a very controversial topic. Mostly people that just treat others like shit, and people who are racist, sexist, against gays/lesbians, etc.

Favorite movies are School of Rock, Lion King, Nightmare Before Chirstmas, It's Kind of a Funny Story, and Pulp Fiction. As for TV shows it would have to be Regular Show, Adventure Time, Spongebob, Tosh.0, Wilfred, and South Park.
Oh and for movies, Wayne's World. Almost forgot about that one haha.

Well I'm currently a Junior in high school, my plan is to finish up high school and then go to a local community college for about 2 years and then try and study to become a Psychologist. If that fails, hopefully do something with music haha.

Well a few years ago I was on a forum with LordJimmy. he was banned from that forum so I joined a forum he made. NF was one of the affiliates. So, I was reffered by Lordjimmy in a sense.

What made you stay in NF?
I was a nerd, I needed a place to nerd out. That was really the only reason I stayed back in 06. I stay now because I just love chatting and making jokes with my e-friends.

What are some of your interests?
My main interest is to be a Broadway performer. I've always wanted to be a Broadway performer after I saw a performance of Lion King back in seventh grade. This performance inspired me and made me want to love and preform musical theatre for the rest of my life. My other interest in life is to be a film star in Comedy films. No, we lost touch after middle school. My personal hero is Neil Patrick Harris. Solely because of the career he has built for himself and sending a message that sexuality doesn't have to define your work and what you're capable of. I love joke writing in my spare time, I usually never keep the jokes but I have my fun just sitting by myself and writing material. I'm trying to actually write a script right now so, it's been pretty rad and I may take up writing as a side job in the future

Hmmm...what drives me the most insane is when people tell you an opinion that is of your taste is wrong. Like, if you laugh at a joke and someone says 'that's not funny' it pisses me off. Also, people who develop an opinion on something they haven't even seen/read/heard.

Movies - Anything Will Ferral/Judd apatow. TV shows - Reality game shows (Survivor, Big Brother, etc) Community, How I Met Your Mother, Misfits.

Mainly the people, and I wasn't apart of any other forum at the time.

My first name is Curry. I am from Louisville, Kentucky and I am seventeen years old and I'm a senior in High School. I play the guitar in a pop-punk band and plan to go in to a computer science maor in college next year.

How did you find Nintendo Forums?

I originally joined over five years ago, I don't remember how I found it back then, but when I returned just over a year ago it was because I was returning to forums, so I googled Nintendo Forums and this was the one I picked.

What made you choose to stay on the forum?

Basically I like forums, I really missed them in the three years I took off from them so the fact that I had a new/old forum to go on kept me there, also some of the members I like to talk to so that is another reason I still stay.

Your top 3 video games?

Number one is the Halo series in general, probably Halo 3 but they are all great. I think I've spent more time playing Halo games than all other games combined.
Second would have to be Pokemon Leaf Green. It brought back the classic 150 with a little bit of the new ones on the island.
This is a tough one, I'd have to say Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I've beat it at least three times and it has a tremendous story, the gameplay is addicting and intuitive and it is an overall just fun game.

What is the origin of your username?

I find it to be quite an interesting story.
I was playing Feeding Frenzy on XBLA and I got pissed when I was on the last level and I went down to grab the stupid pearl from the clam but noooo, apparently a tiny clam can eat a giant fucking whale ten times it's size. So then I went on a huge rant in my XBL party about how the fuck a clam could eat a whale, so I decided to change my XBL gamertag to ClamEatsWhale. I was going to do it with a ?! after the Whale but XBL wouldn't let me.
So anyway, the girl I like saw my new gt and suggested I change Whale to Curry since Curry is my first name. So, knowing how much I like her, I did it, and ever since then it's the name I have used on everything. This happened in early 2010.

Do you have any heroes?

Not really anymore, when I was a kid I use to really look up to Deryck Whibley (singe/guitar player of Sum 41) and Tom DeLonge (singer/guitar player of Blink-182) because I wanted to have their skill on the guitar, nowadays I don't really have any...one person saved my life so I guess them but other than that, no one.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

Other than playing video games I like to play the guitar and listen to music, I am also one for learning aout computers, other than that and the internet, that's pretty much it.

What is your favorite type of music, or do you have any favorite bands?

My favorite type of music is probably metalcore, for those who don't know what that is, it's a mix of screamo and pop-punk. I hate it when people say they listen to all music but they don't listen to screamo and consider it not a genre, there are hundreds of screamo bands, it's a genre, get over it. I listen to many kinds other than that though, but metalcore is probably my favorite. My favorite band is A Day to Remember, with Sum 41 in 2nd, and Blink-182 in 3rd.

What annoys you or gets under your skin?

When people make fun of me for what I look like, it pisses me off to see people are still that immature. I've learned to say fuck them though.

But uh, yeah, I used to play Guitar Hero a lot. It was just me playing it at a friend's house on easy until I gradually got better. I sucked balls in the beginning but eventually whored the game until I could rape Expert.

What's your favorite Guitar Hero song?
Probably Operation Ground and Pound by Dragonforce. I really like fast songs more than any other type.

How did you end up as supreme-overlord in NF?
Who knows anymore. I originally was a member for a while posting/getting suspended until I gained enough favor to be Saged. After that, I was brought up by someone (Kez, I think) to be Super Moderator. When Kez retired I believe he asked I be promoted in his spot (though he stayed on the post for a while longer).

Elaborate on "posting/getting suspended", if you will.
Yeah. Being a kid, I managed to rub a lot of people the wrong way during my time online. Sort of like an intelligent BHM. Believe it or not, NF used to be a place where calling someone a name would be blashpemy and could you suspended. CTT was an administrator back then and he suspended me a few times for calling him an 'idiot' and whatnot. Kez unsuspended me a number of times so he gained my favor of course.

Delirium:A lot of different types. The only thing I've excluded is modern Rap/Hip Hop and most Country. I tolerate Taylor Swift because she's hot, though.

How did you find NF?

I think it was through the InvisionFree directory. I searched for gaming boards and Nintendo Forums was one of the first hits.

What made you decide to stay on the forum?

It was a really hectic place; people were posting for almost no reason other than to see their post count skyrocket. That's the reason some of the older members have such high post counts but haven't really posted since the end of '06. Anyway, I was 13, I think, so I was happy posting around like an idiot.

The manliest 13 year old ever. What are your top 3 video games?

I'd have to say Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, and...maybe something more recent. The third one always varies. I had so much fun playing Call of Duty 4 with friends.

What is the origin of your username?

I've used Delirium since some time in 2006, I think. For some reason, the song title 'Delirium Trigger' always sounded cool to me. It's a bit long for a username so I just shortened to Delirium. It always seem to fit to me.

Do you have any heroes?

Michael Scott, Ron Swanson, and Richard Dawkins are probably as close to heroes as I'll ever have.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

I suppose one of my biggest interests is music. I love many kinds of music and am almost always listening to it. Except country. That's not music. I also enjoy playing basketball and bowling.

I just love this place! everyone's so nice here! I've been to forums where people were very mean to each other and always tried to best each other, but in this forum...everything is in harmony! The staff are pretty kind to people and always helpful, not like the ones I've met (man, those guys were like total maintenance freaks and totally forgot to have fun on a forum!)

Your top 3 video games?

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it's my all time favorite! i just love the storyline, it was perfect and the music was really epic. I remember when i was 9 or 10 that i played it everyday! it was so much fun, and i didn't forget about the side quests! if i were to rate this game, i would give it a whooping 9,5/10!
Next up would be Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker, my 2nd all time favourite! i loved the story line! the game itself was very innovative and epic at the same time! i remember when i was 9 that i didn't get past the Earthe temple for certain reasons, but last year i rebought the game and played it all to the end! oho god the nostalgia!
3rd place is a tricky one... it would be either Luigi's Mansion or Super Mario Sunshine... i love both! Luigi's mansion for Luigi being the main character (go weegee!) and Sunshine, just for the awesome environment! i always used to chill at Serena Beach or Gelato beach. i would rate these games 7,2/10 and 7,4/10

The origin? Well i seem to like fire and red a lot so i devote my name to Flames, the number 540 is just something i thought up. Seriously i really love red, it makes me all warm and strong! I used to be on the Graphics Staff of Kman's old, very popular InvisionFree skin forum, BigGameStyles (BGS). Some member there advertised the link in the wrong area, and when I went to move it the topic, I ended up clicking the link. The rest, my dear, is history.

At the time, there was a member named MarioFanaticXV who owned a RP (Roleplaying) forum named Smash RP. His forums were down, so he was using N-Forums as a method of talking to me via PM. I'm a 16 year old from Ohio, struggling through that hell that is high school. My real name's Sean, and I run cross country and attempt to play basketball. I guess you could say I'm a pretty normal guy. I try just to have fun, and I don't really worry about what people think about me, and I think that's the reason why I have a good amount of friends. But I try to balance out all that icky social stuff with some good ol' NF every day, too.

How did you find NF?
Well, I think I just searched "Nintendo Forums" on Google, and it was either the first one I clicked on or the first one to come up.

What made you stick to the community?
Well, when I first joined, I think it was a need to be respected and well-known among the forum-ers. I eventually gained both, to some extent, and it was nice. So, I came back, and found a bunch of old friends ready to hang out some more, so I guess now more than anything it's the old friends I made.

Top 3 Games
Top 3 games... That's a toughie. I'm gonna say:
1.) The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - I know there were many Nintendo fans that hated it, but I really enjoyed the wide-open world, the neat cel-shaded graphics, and just the overall gameplay experience. It really made me a Zelda fan. 2.) Fallout 3 - Another great game with a wide open world. The exploration, the great story again, the great gameplay drew me in and held on to me until... well, now. I'm still playing it.
3.) Shadow of the Colossus - This little-known gem was one of the best games I've played. It's true art, really. Short, yes, but nothing short of one of the best experiences I've had playing games.

What are some of your other interests?

I'm also learning how to program, and I'm incorporating that at school in our Robotics Club. Do you have any heroes?

Yeah, I always think a few of my high school teachers as my "heroes" since they helped make high school a lot of fun. One comes to mind, Mr. Findlay, who was my Chemistry teacher. Because of the classes I took with him (Chemistry and AP Chemistry) I'm going to college in the field of science. My other hero would be Tomas Kalnoky, the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for Streetlight Manifesto. Listening to his music has inspiered my own playing.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

Well, I kind of touched on that a bit, but playing and sometimes writing music. I not only play the trombone, but I can pretty much play any brass insturment, besides the french horn. I also love to hike and camp. I also love swimming, but not for sport or anything like that. Though I don't watch TV much, there are a few shows I watch like Doctor Who.

What is your favorite type of music, or do you have any favorite bands?

Well, I love ska, mostly third wave, but I also love rock, fuck, jazz, R&B, soul, techno/rave, and dubstep. I'll listen to pretty much anything, but not rap or country. As for favorite bands, Streetlight Manifesto would be my top one, but I also love Rush, Styx, Chase Long Beach, and Reel Big Fish.

What annoys you or gets under your skin?

Fanboys/fangirls to the point that they put down other people's beliefs because they don't match their own. Also, people who base their opinions solely on what other's have said and not try it for themselves.

What are your favorite movies or TV shows?

I don't really watch movies or TV much, but Zombieland has become a favorite of mine. Manos: Hands of Fate, which is the worst movie of all time, in my opinion, is another one I will watch from time to time just to remember how bad it really is. For TV shows, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Leverage, Burn Notice, House, and Psych are favorites. I've also come to like new two new shows over the summer,
Falling Skies and Franklin and Bash. Also, I love old Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon shows.

So which consoles do you own?

Wii, DS, 3DS, GameCube, N64, PS2, GameBoy Advance SP, and GameBoy Color. My brother has a PS3 and Xbox 360 I use from time to time. There's also a NES somewhere at my dad's house.

Do you have any future plans?

Well, if we go by what I told my AP Gov. teacher, go to school for a year then take a year off to "find myself". After that I'd drop out and become a bum. If we go by something that wasn't a joke, got to OIT in Portland for a year then go to the K Falls campus. After that I'll try to find a place to live and get a job.

Well, my name is Andrew, I'm 17, and I have lived in Edmonton, Alberta for my whole life.

How did you find NF?
I ended up seeing the affiliate button on TNZ (The Nintendo Zone), and after I saw the board, I decided to join.

Why did you stick with the community?
Well, originally, the main reason why I decided to join was to get a banner for another board (lame, I know), but after I saw how active NF was and how nice the people were, I thought this would be a good place to be on. And so, I decided to remain.

LoZ:MM - One of my first games, and I loved it right from the get go. Just spectacular.

What are some of your hobbies/interests?
Internet is one of my biggest hobbies. I do spend quite a lot of time on it, even if just for one site. Other than that, I also enjoy playing video games (no surprise) and watching TV. Along with following/watching the Oilers (even in the worst of times).

Favorite music/bands?
Unfortunately, I haven't got any favorites when it comes to music (again, lame, I know).

Any heroes?
Yes. There's my mom, along with Link and a few evil characters (can't really remember...lol).

Name history?
Well, it is actually my last name. And after I wanted a new name, since I was tired of my old name (which was SaturosVhazon), I just went to my roots and picked Kilza, with ~ at the beginning and end of it.

What about hockey? Your well known for being a big fan. How did you become one?
Well, in 2006, the Edmonton Oilers were in their Cinderella run. They were beating the San Jose Sharks, and so, I decided to become a fan of them. I really got involved with them at the start of the 2006-07 NHL season. Unfortunately, they haven't made the playoffs while I have been a fan of them. D=

Favorite movies/TV shows?
Favorite shows are The Simpsons, Futurama, Corner Gas (best Canadian TV show, BTW) and King of the Hill.

Favorite movies are The Simpsons Movie, Wall-E, Spirited Away and The Incredibles.

What are some of your pet peeves?
People who finger type, have bad hygiene, people who are cocky, people who think they're better than everyone else and people who have emotional problems.

What are your future plans, if any?
Well, I plan to go to college/university, get married and get a job involving video games (hopefully).

Give us a little background about yourself.
Well, I'm Rebecca. I live in Colorado (it's snowing today), and I'm 18. I spend most of my time organizing and acting in plays for my high school's theater.

How did you find NF?
LG: I found NF through good 'ol Google. (long story coming up)
LG:I used to go on the official Nintendo's forums for help in games I would get stuck on. "Someone help me figure out how to give things to people in Majora's Mask!!" After they got deleted, I just sort of lost interest in finding a new one since the old community was so large and and hard to be noticed in. After a while I needed help with something else, though, so I ended up finding NF (This was like mid June). At first I was really scared about making the right impressions, and being cool and knowledgeable and whatever. But everyone was really friendly, and I ended up getting way addicted.

You said you were addicted in NF, correct?
Uh, sure. I guess you could say that. I just really enjoy talking to people, and NF provides a vast selection of people who enjoy the same things as I do. I feel bad because I don't post a lot in the gaming sections anymore. I used to a lot, but now I spend more time on NF, than actually playing video games, so I stick to chat threads
Basically, it's the social interactions between people on the forums fascinates me. I'm a really outgoing person irl, so seeing a whole different side of social interaction is pretty cool to witness. Yes, I watch you all, mwahahaha.

What are some of your activities?
Well, like I said before, Theater. But more specifically, improv. If you've ever seen the show "Who's Line is it Anyway", that's improv. It's a comedic style of acting that you make up off the top of your head. So, I basically play pretend all day for an audience's enjoyment. We have a team, you have to audition for it, and there are rules. It's something I'm really proud of, because it's not something a lot of people do.
I also (occasionally) make Nintendo characters out of clay. I've sort of slowed down on that though.

Clay?
Well, um, lessee. I dunno what to say really. I buy packs of individual colors, and I have to mix them or not depending on my selection (and the size of my wallet). I then spend about three hours perfecting the model I make. I get pictures off of the internet, and go from there. I need to have something to go off of (I can't just make things up). I have to be able to see them and visualize what they feel like. I've done M-O from Wall-E, a couple of pokemon, a luma, and my current favorite: baby bowser. My latest project is Midna, but everyone knows that isn't getting done for quite some time.

Favorite types of music?
I listen to whatever is on. I recently acquired my sister's iTunes library which contains more that 20 GB of music. So right now, I'm just sifting through that. The White Stripes I guess you could say are my favorite group. I also enjoy Cold Play, John Mayer, The Bee Gees, Earth Wind and Fire, the Black Eyed Peas, The Killers, Aphex Twins, Queen. I dunno, you name it, I won't know what it is, but I'll probably like it.

Any heroes?
LG:My dad. Haha how cliche.
LG"Our homeowners association is like... filled with Nazis. We go camping a lot, and so we have a camping trailer in our back yard. Um, apparently that lowers the property values of the neighborhood in their opinions. So they're always trying to get rid of trailers, and my dad and some other people fight for our rights to keep them. It's been going on for like ten years (not even kidding) and it may seem really stupid, but it's important to him. He just is always talking about how he just can't lay down and take it, and I really want to be that strong some day.

Why do you like lions so much?
Well, I actually have no idea. I've just always liked them. When I was little I wanted to be the Jane Goodall of lions. I'm not even kidding! Haha I used to check out library book about lions, and I have countless stuffed animals. I even spent the night at the zoo once to study them (which was really cool by the way, because they roared when then sun came up), AND I got to hold baby tigers and take a picture with a big tiger. Now, I just think they're cute.

So Liongirl, who are you? Tell us a bit about your sexy self?

Ha. Well I'm Rebecca, I'm 20 years old (which maybe is a little old to be on this forum but whatever). I live in Colorado. I'm starting a lot of sentences with I and I'm. I currently am going to school for Communications with a minor in Spanish. I'm a fairly outgoing person and honestly really love people. I'm also a dork and you've probably noticed: a little awkward to talk to because I get excitable. All of my posts are tl;dr.

So how did you find NF?

I think I've told this before, but basically the same way everyone else did. The reason was because Insider was closed and I used to go there when I had questions about gaming that walkthroughs didn't answer. I'd honestly never really been on a (smallish) forum before so I decided to actually introduce myself instead of just ask the question and leave like I'd done in the past.

What made you decide to stay on the forum?

Ha, well at the time I was a junior in high school and also like one of four chicks on NF. Low self esteem + a lot of attention = LG coming back. Then I participated in contests and eventually the old groups’ competition and I was hooked. It’s crazy how you can make actual relationships on NF. As I said, I love people, so this was just another way to have interaction 24/7.

What are your top 3 video games?

Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker is my all time favorite. It's the game that turned me into a real gamer. I love the exploration and how in depth it is. I had such trouble with it when I started, but after I bought this Brady Games Guide complete with poster double sided map, I became obsessed. I’ve played the shit out of that game and the poster is falling apart. I put a piece of paper in there with the day and time I beat Ganon for the first time. As well as a badly handwritten page with all of the Hylian text I translated after playing the game a second time. I recently lent my sister that game guide because it also includes an OOT guide and I’m a little afraid of it being away.
Nothing compares to WW, but I guess de Blob is my second. No one really knows about it and it’s such a fun platformer. The story and the cut scenes are humorous and funny. It’s a cheaper game, yet one with a lot of content. Also it is colorful and I love the rainbow!
Third would be a tie between Kirby Air Ride and Mario Sunshine. Air Ride, again, I’ve played the shit out of. Sunshine is just... beautiful.

To everyone: get ready for the biggest tl;dr. It's not even very important, so you can skip over this part.
Well I guess I still feel the same way as the last interview. I still really look up to my dad, for the same reasons as before but also some new ones. He's always doing something, and if he's doing something, it's something productive of useful. He's organized. He thinks of all the outcomes before making a decision and it takes a lot to make him yell. He honestly fixes EVERYTHING. He's like... seriously super dad. I know a lot of people's dads aren't there for them and I’m lucky enough to have like the most active one. Not only that but he's interesting too! He rides motorcycles, bikes, plays instruments, MADE his own mandolin, skis, hikes, dude, I could freakin' go on. He’s also always supportive of my sister and I. One time we were on vacation tubing down a river and some teenager jumped in and splashed my sister while his friend laughed and yelled at her, “Here’s your [insert Colorado Mountain town name]’s experience!” My dad (keep in mind is fit, but still around 50) promptly climbed up the rock ledge “yelling kid” was on and threw the kid off into the river. He lost his sunglasses and the kids were pretty ticked, but I don’t think anyone in my family will ever forget that. Honestly, he annoys the crap out of me, ‘cause he expects a lot sometimes because he's so great and all I want to do is play some freakin’ video games. But I try not to take him for granted.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

Um. Video games mostly. People! I love being around people. If I'm being honest: sex. I love orgasms. I also really enjoy talking to people about it. Everyone has such a different opinion about it and it's something you don't get to hear about a lot from individuals. I think learning about differences in people's sex lives has made me way more tolerant with people in real life. I mean, if I can accept someone even if they love bestiality, then I can pretty much not give much of a crap about if you like sports or not. Everyone's different and since that fascinates me enough at it is, throw sex in there and I'm entranced.

What is your favorite type of music, or do you have any favorite bands?

Meh. Music is really not my thing. The Hush Sound, White Stripes, Adele, Florence and the Machine, Moby, and The Strokes come to mind. I listen to techno a lot, but I never know who I'm listening to.

What annoys you or pisses you off?

Bullying. All forms of it. People that laugh at others for how they act or if they make a mistake. We all subconsciously make fun of others sometimes, but it's something I wish more people tried to be conscious about. Especially since that message is rammed down our ear canals all the time in media and no one listens.
Also: when people baby talk at me in general. Including pet names. "Who 's a good girl? You are!" Fuck. I'm not a kitten. I get so awkward out.

What are your favorite movies or TV shows?

I guess I'd say Pride and Prejudice, but I really don't tend to like those kinds of movies. Something that describes my interests better would be the Lion King, Tron, Scott Pilgram, Avatar (Not the Last Airbender, the actualy series). Oh and Misfits.

Which consoles do you own?

N64, Gamecube, Wii. Gameboy color, Advance, DS Lite, 3DS. My gamecube is decorated with blue crystals, my Wii and Lite have skins. I have yet to figure out how to customize my 3DS

Do you have any future plans?

Eh. I’m pretty bad about the future. I really want to do something with Spanish. Right now I want to help Spanish speaking adults to speak English. I know how hard it is to learn a language as an adult and I’ve talked to some people before about it. They’re all trying so hard and I want them to succeed and punch everyone else in the face with eloquence. I also really hope to have a good marriage someday. I don’t want to get married any time soon, but love is important, especially when it comes to being there for someone. I want to be the person that someone comes home and goes, “Thank god I have you because today was awful.” and then I make them brownies while talking about the problem, and we have kitchen sex.

Anything else you would like to say?

Everyone try and be kind to each other here. This is a place where a lot of us come because we may not be great with social interaction. You never know what someone went through today or in their life. I've met a lot of people on the internet I love but I've met more people on the internet that need love. So just take a deep breath before calling someone dumb for mentioning something off topic or immature. Explain things gently and they'll learn! Also, I can't wait to read more about everyone.

LK: Alright. I'm LK (real name is Andrew Wight), and I'm from Ontario Canada. I'm 19 years old, 20 in November.

How did you find NF
LK: I used to be on a forum called "P2P Wrestling Forums" when I was a fan of WWE, but after I got banned from someone hacking my profile, I decided to join another forum instead. What I did was I typed "Nintendo Forums" into Google, and I found NF.

[interesting to note that Pulse did mention in his interview one of the key successes to NF was the "generic name" it had.]

LK: Well, I saw the review section of Nintendo Forums, and I read a bunch of reviews, so I decided to give it a shot with Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Members thought the review was so good that it won Review of the Month for that month. I went ahead and wrote another one, this time it was Resident Evil: Deadly Silence for the DS, and it also won Review of the Month. How did you end up being the near-supreme-overlord-but-not-quite in NF? (AKA, Moderator)
LK: Well, it's funny, I was a gigantic spammer when I first got to NF. That's why I have so many posts. If it wasn't for my spamming, I would only have 5000 or so posts, not 10,000. I'm pretty sure a lot of members hated me at first, mostly because it was 2005 (4 years ago), and I was a stupid 15 year-old. Over time I got better and better at posting, but then stupidly I asked Matt via PM if I could be a sage, which is a no-no, and it prolonged my saging for months. Eventually, I was saged. After MarioLuigi7654 and ShadowBoo started disappearing off the face of the earth, the staff had to find a new Moderator, and I was it.

LK: My childhood hero was Optimus Prime from Beast Wars, final answer.

What type of music/bands you like?
LK: Radiohead is my all-time favorite band. I like their OK Computer Album the best, but I also really like the Bends and Kid A. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, Smashing Pumpkins, Boston, and System of a Down are other bands I like.

What are some of your interests?
LK: Vidja Games, mostly, but I also really like listening to music, and surprising making music as well. I've been messing around garage band for quite some time, and I've completed a couple of songs that sound decent. Right now I'm waiting for my parents to clear out space in the garage so I can buy a REAL drum kit.

You have an "obsession" with the fake-instrument-playing rhythm game, Rock Band , specifically the drums. What made you so into it?
LK:When Rock Band first got announced I was kinda like, "whatever". I was never in the Guitar Hero craze or anything, so it wasn't a big deal to me. When they announced the pricing of the game I was just flabbergasted. There was no way I was going to be spend $200 on a game.
LK: I played the game (the guitar) at a friends house, and I liked it. But it wasn't until I played the drums at my local Futureshop when I got hooked on the game. The drums are fucking amazing, the drums are one of the most fun things I've ever played in a videogame. I bought it, started a medium, got higher and higher, and now I can play pretty much every single song I have on expert. The only one's I can't beat are Prequel to the Sequel, and They're Red Hot. I also download tons and tons of downloadable songs. I've spent around $100 more on just downloaded songs. I know, I know, I'm CRAZY, but I'm hooked.

How did you end up with your name? A bit of name history, if you please.
LK: On old forums I was known as a bunch of things. First it was Amazo, then it was Magneto, then I changed it to Little Kokirin, you know, from Zelda? After I found out that "Kokirin" isn't even the name of the Kokiri in Zelda, and it sounded sexual, I changed it to LK, and I was known as LK for a very long time. When I got to NF, I tried to think of something that went with LK, and I chose Link Kid.

Why did you switch from Nintendo to Microsoft's Xbawks 360?
LK: Well, I have always been a Nintendo Fanboy since I got a NES way back when I was like, 4 or something. This generation I knew I wouldn't be able to play very much games on the Wii since they all fucking suck, so I bought an Xbox 360. I also bought a PS3 with my brother, I also love achievements

Ehh. Not so much heroes, but I admire Bruce Lee. He seems like he would have been a great deal of fun to get drunk and talk philosophy with. Shigeru Miyamoto for making my childhood something heroic. Ghandi. Another cool dude I would have liked to have talked with.

Drawing, painting, guitar, reading. I suck at all of them, but I try. I also like film and music. I can appreciate pretty much any medium of art.

So MP1, who are you? Tell us a bit about yourself?

Well, I'm perhaps the longest standing 'active' member of NF. I'm a sophomore in college where I'm preparing to go into Law. I grew up playing a lot of Nintendo games, but have since had less time to enjoy video games and a bit less interest. However, I'm still constantly reading about the new games and innovative ideas that Nintendo conjures and publicizes.

How did you find Nintendo Forums?

Well, back eons ago, MATTB22890, DIDDYKONGDUDE, NINTENDO_GOLFER and I (MARIOPARTY1) were good friends on the Nsider forums before they were closed a year or so later. While we were there, we dubbed ourselves the "Golden Four," which was just a group we created because we were all close friends. We spent much of our time perusing the Animal Crossing board where we met, if I recall correctly, in my "Who Wants to Be a ACnaire?" thread-- an instant hit, if I may add. Anyway, after a while, I invited Matt to join this InvisionFree message board that I had recently joined and was enjoying. Soon after inviting him, I went on vacation and was separated from talking to them online; when I returned home and got online, he had sent me a message inviting me to the Nintendo Forums that he had created. Some of our other friends, though not an official part of the G4, were already members. So, I quickly signed up and became the 7th member. While I cannot prove, nor has it ever been admitted, I believe that my introducing him to this forum system led to the advent of NF.

What made you choose to stay on the forum?

Well, perennial boredom coupled with amazing friends are the primary reasons. Furthermore, I like how the forums has an atmosphere that doesn't make it seem like an obligation for me to post constantly, but at the same time has an attraction that helps me enjoy being part of a wonderful community.

Your top 3 video games?

Hmm:
1) Tales of Symphonia
2) Super Smash Bros.
3) Pokemon Yellow Version
(I should note that I mean the SSB series totally)
Tied for 3rd is Portal. Simply because that's such a fun game to play.

What is the origin of your username?
I, in my naivety, didn't consider how large the Nsider forums were. So, somewhat sardonically, I tried to get the username, Mario, on Nsider. Yes, I really did try that. I kept going, trying MarioSunshine and other Mario-related names. Eventually, I just selected MARIOPARTY1. It took and that's how I came to be. Then, I just shortened it for ease on NF after many years.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

Ehh, unfortunately nothing that interesting.
I used to play the trumpet and fiddle around on the piano, but since college that's sort of faded away.
I enjoy debating and philosophical conversation.
Though, I have a habit of picking up random things for a short period of time. Like, I've taught myself a little bit of C++ Coding; I've written a chapter for a novel I was intending to finish; I've developed multiple RPG ideas, characters, maps, etc.; I've created small, unimpressive games on GameMaker; I've created many websites; I've done custom spriting; I've taken a lot of electronics apart and halfway rebuilt them; I've come up with fascinating ideas (that I just never test out); etc.
I just wish I had the tenacity to actually continue with one of those interests.

Do you have any heroes?

No, actually.
This is one of the commonly asked questions that I either don't have a prepared answer for or I just genuinely dislike. You see, I don't think there's a single person who is a paragon of humanity. Almost always, I may agree or admire someone in a certain aspect, but find other details about them repugnant. So, I simply admire certain qualities or ideals that various people hold. My influences are a collaboration of dozens of impactful ideas from myriad people.

What is your favorite type of music, or do you have any favorite bands?

Haha, again, I never have 'favorites'-- well, at least about specifics.
I find that I most commonly listen to Rock and Pop. I'm a fan of Three Days Grace, Angels and Airwaves, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay (yes.), U2, One Republic, Breaking Benjamin, Mumford and Sons, and the Avett Brothers. Those are the bands that come to mind, anyway.

What annoys you or gets under your skin?

Willful ignorance, baseless discrimination, and unnecessary cruelty.
Essentially, I hate people who are assholes either because of a pretentious entitlement complex, genuinely sadistic tendencies, or ingrateful ignorance.
Blah, I just hate people who are mean-- I just don't understand it. I don't feel inclined to be cruel, so why do other people seem to be?

What are your favorite movies or TV shows?
Hahaha, I really, really, really suck at these 'favorite' questions.
I have no idea when it comes to movies. I find many movies great, particularly if it's a genre I'd like to watch at that time. I like pretty much every genre, even documentaries. I can say, I would really like to see the movie, In Time, that's been in theaters for a month or so now. It seems like a fascinating premise.
As for favorite TV shows, I like:
Family Guy, the Big Bang Theory, the IT Crowd, the Office (American version-- I can't get into the British one), the Coupling, and Chuck.

Which consoles do you own?

I own the following:
Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Nintendo DS (original-- interestingly, I actually got it the day before the official release. Although, since it was a Christmas present, I didn't get to play with it until Christmas...), Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and the Wii.
I also have multiple xbox's (my mother used to be a game rep for Microsoft; we got to keep all of the display xbox's from the stores in our region. We had some 30 in our house once.) and a PS-1. My family has a 360; I had one for a bit, but the damned nefarial RROD destroyed it.
And, of course the PC.

Do you have any future plans?

My intention is to graduate with honors in Political Science and Philosophy from Vanderbilt University. Then, I hope to attend a nice law school.
Afterward, I plan to move toward New York City and get associated with an impressive, prestigious Law firm. I also plan to do a bit of writing in the field of jurisprudence, perhaps move into international courts.
Eventually, I want to get married and have children, but that's on the backburner for now.

So NintendoQueen, who are you? Tell us a bit about yourself?
Well my name is Arielle, and I am 23 years old. I am a college student going to school for early childhood education. I love working with children. I also love art and Nintendo. I also love hanging out with my best friend of 13 years!

How did you find Nintendo Forums?
Well, I wanted to find a new and fresh forum where I'd be able to meet a great group of people who share the same interest in Nintendo that I do. Not many people my age are into Nintendo anymore, and that upsets me a bit.
I came across NF on Google, and looked through the site for about a week or so before joining. I'm glad I did.

What about NF made you choose to stay?
The friendly people I've met on NF have made me choose to join this forum, and to stay. I've been a part of a couple of other video game forums already, and the people there just were not very friendly and not that fun to talk to.
The atmosphere of NF seems fun and very relaxed, and I like that.

What are your top three video games?
Ooh I love Super Mario World. That is my all time favorite. My top three favorite games are 1.Super Mario World
2. Yoshi's Island
3. Super Mario Bros. 3

What is the origin of your username?
NintendoQueen was my AIM screenname back when AIM was popular in the early 2000s. I chose that name because my aunt (who introduced me to Nintendo) was always the real Nintendo Queen in my eyes; so it's a homage to her.
Also, it used to be NintendoQueen814, but I dopped the "814" (no real reason for the number, it just rhymed with Queen).

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?
My hobbies include art. I've been drawing since I can remember (especially Nintendo and Pokemon characters). I also love to play video games; and I also enjoy being outside. Interior designing has always been an interest of mine since middle school. I love coming up with color schemes for rooms, and decorating.
Nowadays, my interests include making crafts, especially for the kids I work with; and coming up with ideas for when I become a teacher. It's not really a hobby, but it is something I am highly interested in.

Do you have any heroes?
I do. I really look up to my mom. She has always been supportive of me, and more recently she and I have become much closer over the last few years.
My aunt I mentioned earlier. She was always my favorite aunt, and I miss her everyday. (She passed away June 2008, right before I graduated high school). And I know she is my guardian angel. <3
And last but not least, my best friend, Tiff. She and I have been best friends for the last 13 years of our lives, and she is like a sister to me. We've gone through many things together: the good, the bad, and the ugly--yet we still remained true friends to each other. I don't think I could ever meet another friend like her, and be able to get the inside jokes we have and such.
I love these three women with all my heart.

What is your favorite type of music?
Haha! Yes. I love *NSYNC. Always did and always will. <3
I am a big fan of pop music, but I do listen to a variety of things, except heavy metal screaming-til-your-ears-fuckin'-bleed types of music.

Rude people. I cannot stand when someone is very rude. I also cannot stand it when I am blatantly ignored by people. I try not to let it bother me, but it just gets under my skin so much!!

My earliest memory is me being a 3-4 year old and playing Super Mario Bros 2 on the original NES game system in my old bedroom.
And another one I remember is me playing Super Mario All-Stars with my aunt. She told me to pick File C and not A, because C was empty. I had a hard time comprehending that because I wanted to choose A for Arielle. x]

What are you proudest of in your life?
I would say I am most proud that I graduated high school with honors, and I am currently in college pursuing a career I enjoy deeply.
Being around the children and seeing their faces light up when I am with them just melts my heart. I feel very proud then as well.

Do you want to get married?
Yes I do want to get married one day. Not now, I am not ready for that, but one of these days.

Do you want to have kids?
[Yes definitely. I love babies and kids, and I do know that they can be a handful, but that isn't preventing me from wanting kids one day.

In 4th and 5th grade, I was the spelling bee runner up for my grade at school
In high school, I won the Family and Consumer Sciences department award (home ec classes). I also graduated with honors, and have been on the honor roll in middle school and high school.

Do you have any siblings?
Yes. I am the oldest of 3. I have a sister who will be 21 in a few weeks, and a brother who is 17. Both are taller than I am. X_x

What was your most embarrassing moment?
Gosh, I've had my share of those just like everyone else!
First was when I asked my 6th grade science teacher for a hug, b/c I had a huge crush on him.
And when I was in 4th grade, we did these presentations on Famous Hoosiers (because I'm from Indiana) and I had Eli Lilly, the pharmaceutical dude. Well, when it was my turn to present, I just stood up there, said "Hi I'm Eli Lilly"...and forgot everything. I froze and stared at everyone for a moment....so I just said "I dont' remember anything else" and had to sit back down. God that was embarrassing.

Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?
I do not. I never had a boyfriend before.

Have you ever been in love before, if not what do you hope it's like?
I don't know if I have ever been in love. I know I've been infatuated by people, hence me having crushes on guys in middle school and high school.
Something I do look for is that I want to be friends with the guy first and have those feelings unravel as we get to know each other more and more. I want someone who cares about me, and someone who is funny. They have to be funny!
So I cannot say I've ever been in love, just infatuated.

Have you ever had a really good idea for a song/book/game? What was it like?
I am not a creative writer, so I never really had a good idea for a book or song. But I did come up with a video game idea when I was really little.
This video game would be where you'd be able to play as the Koopalings (I love the Koopalings)
It would be set up like DK64 where you could choose any of the 7 Koopalings, and each would have his/her own strengths and weaknesses. It'd would be a platformer.
It's a very basic idea, and I haven't really ran with it. ;p

Do you have any funny stories about your childhood/school/friends/family?
[There are trillions and trillions of funny stories I could tell, but most of them are inside jokes with me and my best friend.
But there is one story I like to tell about my little kid self, and it was caught on tape.

I was about 3 years old, and my mom was recording me doing whatever. So I took a step into the other room (there is a step up from our dining room to our living room) and I stubbed my toe. I yelled "DAMNIT!!!" really loud. My mom asks me "What did you say?" And I replied with "Ow."

As I said there are many other funny things, but this one will suffice for now. ;]

My name is Joe, right now I'm 19 years old. I love animals; birds and cats especially. I love going for walks in the evening and I'm always up for a heart-warming movie. I only consider people friends if they know anything or everything about me. Everyone else would be considered, acquaintances. After a long day I enjoy finishing it off by taking a shower and sitting down to either my favourite video game or movie.

How did you find Nintendo Forums?

I've always been familiar with the invisionfree forum platform, considering that; I figured it was time to join a message board. It seemed like all I ever did with my time on the computer was play my favorite MMO. I went ahead and searched the forum directory on invisionfree to find out it was closed. So I did the next best thing, went to the zetaboards forum directory and found Nintendo Forums on top, it seemed just enough populated to join I decided to spend my eternity there.

What made you choose to stay on the forum?

Well then and now, NF was and is, the only forum i have a membership on, it's been a long time since I’ve had more than one membership. Not many Nintendo fan communities are as active now a days anyway. I decided to put all my effort and attention into one of the only 3 things I do on the internet, NF, Facebooking. and MMO playing.

Master Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Balto; The Siberian Husky sled dog.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

Being an artist of any way/shape, or form. I love writing and performing music. I love playing the drums and my piano. I also have a tenor saxophone; I have declined to play it as much since I graduated high school. Drawing is tons of fun too. My inspiration for drawing is the lack of the Google search results I expect to see. Anything is possible! I'm also a computer Geek. But I have no interest in pursuing a career in it.

What is your favorite type of music, or do you have any favorite bands?

I love anything with soul. That means journey, The all American Rejects, Boston, Anything that dates before the 2000's Even Dragonfore has soul in their music and is a lot of fun to listen to! I guess it just depends on what mood I am in. Sometimes the lyrics capture my attention, and sometimes when I'm really sad I could go for a random humorous song.

What annoys you or gets under your skin?

When people throw an attitude with me. When I'm here to help you it's frustrating to see the other person put no effort into seeing my intentions toward them. It blinds their minds from thinking and leads them down the road of agitated thought. To sum it up...Ones uncontrollable expression of anger.

What was the happiest moment in your life?
The happiest moment of my life would have to have been my first (and so far only) trip to Disneyland, not everything went perfect. But C'mon it's Disneyland we're talking about here. I can't name one attraction that didn't blow my mind. Except for Small World, I might have wanted to cry on that one. I knew it wasn't a good Idea to jump off the boat because then I would be stuck in there. But noneless; Disneyland Ftw.

Whats your earliest memory?
Not sure if this was the earliest I remember, but believe it or not, I've always had about 5 seconds of being a baby imprinted in my head. Maybe that's because my mom had me laying down in one of those bicycle carries that babies lie in, and she was on her 2 wheel tall bicycle! She was headed to some garage sales around town. I felt like she was going to fall the whole time, perhaps that's why I remember it so well, I was a scared to death baby.

What are you proudest of in your life?
I'm proud to be free, A gifted artist and musician, And I don't know what I would do without that 1 in so many billion chance that I ended up with the family I have now.
I'm also very proud of who I turned out to be. Some times I go to bed and lie awake thinking of the amazing ways I could please others. You know, despite all the things I've been though life, Not many people like me think they have a wonderful personality, whether it's locked up or not; It's there!

Do you want to get married?
Currently I do want to get married. And just so Jackie Glass doesn't go all ballistic on me in the future: As of 1/10/2012: There Is a person I really like a lot. And sometimes she really treats me in a manner in which I really feel like I should get married someday ( if you catch my drift).

Do you want to have kids?
*A Kid. I want to have a kid. I don't want to have more than that. Otherwise some will feel more unloved, Having one child is all the pleasure of being a father you could ask for, Without going bankrupt or anything like that. Maybe when they move out I would consider another. I would like to see the world and enjoy some time with my wife before I get tied down though.

Have you won any awards?
I've Won Plenty of awards, I've had the Perseverance award in Marching band , The Magical Music Music Award for making the Disneyland Electrolight parade auditions...and also..One more. The Most valuable student award in 8th grade.

Do you have any siblings?
Yep! I have 2 brothers and a sister. I don't live with them anymore, It's kinda nice to just get visits from them as opposed to being with them 24/7. I'm Almost 20, The second is 15, The 3rd is almost 10, And my sister is 2.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
Probably when I performed in the Band festival and after it was too late I realized I had a rip in the wrong area of my pants.

Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?
Currently No I do not. I do like a Girl though, And she does like me back. We aren't dating though.

Have you ever been in love before, if not what do you hope it's like?
Oh Yes I've been in love before. It means to want the highest good for the other person. Of course, you learn the hard way that some people just don't appreciate your intentions toward them. In my whole life I've been in a relationship once, and when you find that moment of truth when you don't truly feel loved anymore. you're taught to only give your love to people who are willing to offer it back. Now I'm extra careful now to look after myself too!

Have you ever had a really good idea for a song/book/game? What was it like?
When it comes to Games, I thought it would be a great idea to use a standard controller to keep precision, on your arm you would wear like a bracelet or watch that picked up the movement of your hand, so you could have fun with controls like slashing and bowling without anything flying out of your hand (cough cough wiiremote) There are just so many things you could do with it.

Do you have any funny stories about your childhood/school/friends/family?
I remember when I was around 10 or so I got a digital camera for Christmas. My cousin and I wold run around the house and take pictures of stuff while the other person stuck their face in a pillow and waited. With my camera you could show pictures on your TV, So that's what we did. Most of them were of the toilet and stuff.

Let's see... I'm a senior in college studying psychology and statistics, but I have absolutely no idea what I want to do after. I'm that kid from high school that everyone recognised and yet no one knew. The keep-to-yourself type. That said, I can be really random and spontaneous, which throws people off when they are seeing it for the first time. I guess you'd just say I'm odd. I also love coming up with stories at random.

Speaking of your stories, congrats on your nomination for Best Writer in the summer awards! Hopefully we'll see more of them from you in the future.
How did you find Nintendo Forums?

Thanks, I'll try to post some of them up. I found NF like most people. I was really just bored one night so I typed "nintendo forum" into Google and well, the rest is history.

What made you choose to stay on the forum?

To be honest, I didn't think I would. I thought I'd explore for the weekend and then just forget about it, but I befriended Capt.Olimar, Xreaper, and even boxmaster (at the time he was sparkymushroom or something). They're really the reason I decided to stay.

Well, we're all glad you decided to stick around! And it's not often you'll get people admitting to befriending boxmaster haha!
Your top 3 video games?

Haha, true, but that's how it happened. It should come as no surprise that my favorite is BioShock. After that it's Ocarina of Time, then Pokemon Blue, though that's really more about sentimental value.

Yeah, Bioshock was pretty much a nailed on choice with you haha. What is the origin of your username?

Back in junior high I played a modified sort of Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. It was a lot more about just doing what we want. Anyway, we had been traveling in this tunnel and came to a ladder. I decided to climb up and it turned out to be a well in the middle of a town. I jumped out of it and shouted "pickle". Well, that happened to be the name of the town and the people started bowing thinking I was the god from their prophecy. So I was the God of Pickle or Picklegod for short. tl;dr I'm a nerd.

Do you have any heroes?

If anyone is my hero, it's Christopher Paolini (the author of the Inheritence Trilogy). He's accomplished so much at such a young age. The best part? All he's doing is creating his own world. Sounds like a great life to me.

What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

Like I said before, I enjoy writing. Really anything story-related appeals to me though. Movies, books, video games, you name it.

What is your favorite type of music, or do you have any favorite bands?

I have a really broad taste in music. Anything from Frank Sinatra to Duran Duran to Marty Robbins. I especially love 80's music though. So many great one hit wonders. Lounge music is great too, like Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Dean Martin. Not really a fan of hardcore punk, metal, or rap though. I don't think I could choose a favorite band.

What annoys you or gets under your skin?

Arrogance. That and things not being in their right place, especially my things. My family jokes all the time about me being OCD.

Top 3 movies are Seven Samurai, Empire Strikes Back, and Back to the Future. I can never get sick of those. I have a lot of TV shows. Being Human (not the stupid American one), Big Bang Theory, Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, King of the Hill, Merlin, there are really too many to list.

Wii, 360, GC, PS2, N64, DS Lite, GBA SP, and my brother owns a 3DS.

Quite a broad selection, what would you say gets the most playtime?

360 for sure, though I haven't even been playing that much lately. Skyward Sword will get me back on the Wii for a while, but Skyrim is around the same time, so that will pull me back to the Xbox.

Oh, God. Skyrim. That game will be sucking hours out of peoples' lives across the world for sure. Do you have any future plans?

Well, if Skyrim doesn't prevent me from studying for finals then I'll be graduating in spring. After that, I don't know. I'll get a job, but beyond that only time will tell.

What led you to the creation of NF
Pulse: It started back on the Nintendo NSider forums, namely the Animal Crossing Board
Pulse: I had met Marioparty1, Diddykongdude, Nintendo_Golfer, and some others there...
Pulse: One day Marioparty made a game called "Who wants to be an ACnaire?" which was pretty much "Who wants to be a millionaire?" but with animal crossing questions.
Pulse: We would all meet in that thread every night at certain times
Pulse: It was really fun, and we had a great time
Pulse: but the thread got REALLY spammy after a while
Pulse: We basically turned in into a chat thread to talk about whatever
Pulse: The mods caught on, and locked the topic
Pulse: The topic had to have at least 5000 posts in it, so we were kind of annoyed.
Pulse: so I called together all my friends to figure out a solution
Pulse: eventually I came across Invisionfree and how you could make your own forum
Pulse: So I made NF, and they all joined.
Pulse: I never really intended it to become as big as it is today.
Pulse: It was originally just supposed to be a hangout for me and my friends
Pulse: But I guess it just got popular... lol

Are you surprised about the moderate success of NF? You mentioned it was never intended to be this big.
Pulse: Of course. We started off a bit slow, but after a bit the activity just exploded
Pulse: I think there's two explanations for it becoming so popular.
Pulse: One, our generic name. Many people said they found out about NF simply through a google search for the ACTUAL nintendo forums, inadvertently coming to ours instead.
Pulse: Secondly, at the time of NF's creation, the money code was new.
Pulse: When I added Nintendollars, we were pretty much the first forum to have it
Pulse: It became really popular for a time
Pulse: 'course, now they're pretty much useless...

I'm a 17 year old polish immigrant hiding out in Canada for the past 10 years.I've lived on both coasts, almost moved to the maritimes but ended up on the east coast instead, even though for the longest time i thought video games were my number one passion, i think music might be. I love playing video games, but i'm not necessarily playing all the hot new hits; just games that i love.

How did you find Nintendo Forums?

I feel like Nintendo forums is one of those really cool closed communities that you see sometimes when you have a paper route. Like you have to have a secret code to pound in to open the gate, and than instead of delivering the news papers to each house, you gotta put it in some box beside the gate. And somebody has a palm tree in their front yard. So i guess i find Nintendo forums pretty cool since i get to be a part of that, but i feel bad for all the paper boys that come in once in a while.

What made you choose to stay on the forum?

Honestly i think its because its my home page, everytime i open my browser i just have to scroll down and check the new posts. That's probably why NF is the only forum that i've ever stuck to.

Well right now the plan is to graduate high school and get into a university for music and education so that i can teach music Somewhere in between that, a friend of mine wanna start building up a music studio. Not exactly get any office space, but just get some microphones, instruments, and midi shit. I'd love to relocate back to Europe again, probably England, and teach music. All the while doing some production on my own and hopefully building up a fan base. The ultimate dream is to become a respected producer and DJ and travel the world playing clubs and festivals having the best job in the world, playing the music you love to a room full of people. And start a family, i want little me's.

Anyway, a long time ago I was really intrigued by the elusive 'sage' rank, I got a little...how should I put this..."coo-coo" over it and asked. Bearing in mind this must have been in 2007. I kind of monumentally fucked myself but I continued to hold my head high learning from my silly mistake. After a few months, I began to see a different side to NF, it wasn't about being top-dog, it was about chilling with the community and having a great time, months later, I got to sage. I was really excited and did my best to aid the community after the amazing summer I had on NF something insane happened. The great crash. All my fond memories and members of the summer were lost in an instant. I quickly decided to do something important and Ramen Hood talked it over with me and made me a temporary moderator to clean up the huge, smelly mess Zeta had made. Well, I'd had trials for a few teams in the southwest of England for their academies but my knees have prevented me from actually being able to actually manage to get them to sign me up, even though they said Im good enough, which sucks but oh well.

It's probably quite evident that I love Chelsea from my various sigs :L I get to see them play about 5-10 times a season which is amazing.

Im a really big film buff and Im hoping to take a TV & Film Production course at university next year in Portsmouth - Im currently in my last year of A levels studying media, English language and Psychology

And for a fun fact by some luck and random reasons I was ranked no.1 in the world on call of duty 5:WaW on the 360 according to Xbox.com - even though I hadn't prestiged or anything, just got 1000 GS on the game. Im Kez. I'm 20 years old and Im from England. Originally from London but now moved out into the countryside. And I'm better than Delirium at everything.

How did you find NF?

It was like, 6 years ago now, I honestly cant remember to be honest. I would imagine found it on the invision directory at the time. Although that guess is as good as any.

Why did you decide to stay on the forum?

Ummm, I was young at the time and I was a bit of a Nintendo fanboy. So basically it was just a nice place for me to bitch on Sony and Microsoft. And the members were all welcoming.

Your top 3 video games?

Ocarina of Time, Tales of Symphonia and the Gears of War series. OoT - I think that's pretty self explanatory. Tales of Symphonia was like, the first RPG I really really fell in love with, I played the hell out of it - the characters, the story, the gameplay, everything just amazed me and I still to this day haven’t traded my copy of it. I always think about going back for more playthroughs, but sadly the Xbox just consumes my gaming hours. Gears of War is just awesome. It’s the first game I ever played on a 360, and I was just stunned how good it was, the visuals at first were insane (bearing in mind this was on a shitty tube tv on standard definition). Then the gameplay was just so fluid and intense. I loved it. Ever since then Gears has been my favourite series on the Xbox. Even though Gears 2 SUCKED for a long time, once it got all patched up, it’s great to play again. Even though it should have never been like that in the first place. And at the time of this interview, Gears 3 is only 3 weeks away, and I cannot WAIT.

What is the origin of your username?

I was on Nintendo of Europe trying to think of a name, and all the generic ones were taken, so basically I just thought about mixing to characters’ names that I liked together, therefore Sonic + Tails = Sontailsic, simples.

Do you have any heroes?

Frank Lampard, John Terry, Didier Drogba & Ashley Cole. All Chelsea players, and I would have loved to be able to play football with them for Chelsea. Their skill and passion for Chelsea is something that I find great. Also my parents, without them and their examples I’d be nowhere.

Well, football obviously (soccer for you Americans). Sports in general (except gay ass Rugby). Watching Chelsea play. Video games in general. Film and TV is something I was and still am very interested in – I was considering taking a university course in it at one point but it never really came to fruition.

So TheReaganator, who are you? Tell us a bit about yourself?

I'm 22, living in the Paterson area of New Jersey. I don't really like to divulge in my personal life on the internet due to a personal incident in 2007 (which I will not reveal anything about, but it was pretty bad and I kinda helped cause it since I was a different person at the time, and far easier to make rage on the internet, something I am very not proud of). I'm pretty much the biggest metalhead on the forums (aside from ClamEatsCurry (I forget what name he used initially)), but he's more into the hardcore side of things. I used to know Pulse ( http://nintendo-forums.com/profile/83043/ ) when he lived in this area for a few years as well as another user, gc0801 ( http://nintendo-forums.com/profile/83191/ ), whom both went to the same high school that I did (I graduated a year before both of them). I mostly lost contact with Pulse when he moved back to Florida, and gc I just lost contact with in ways I don't remember (he just kind of vanished). If you're wondering about religion, I'm actually an Atheist, but I'm fine with anyone practicing religion.


How did you find Nintendo Forums?

I met Pulse (then MattB22890) in High School during my lunch period in March 2005 (I was 15 at the time), and he asked me in person to join. At the time the forum had less than 400 members (as evidenced by my member number).


What made you choose to stay on the forum?

Initially it was one of two forums I had an account at (the other being GameFAQs which I registered at in September 2003), and since it was run by a friend, I felt like I should stay. I did leave a few times mostly via forgetting to keep the site open and forgetting about it, but then I'd just remember it and come back. I mostly am still around now since of all of the forums I go to, this one is the most chilled-out and I practically get along with everyone (I think Prydinho (can't find his profile) back in 2005 was the only NF member I truly did not like, but my memory is a bit hazy on that one).


Your top 3 video games?

I don't really have a top three, but some of my top picks would include Goldeneye, A Link to the Past, Super Mario series up to 64, the entire F-Zero series (sans the GBA games), the first four Megaman games, Tetris, Contra, and more.


What is the orgin of your username?

It comes from a GWAR song off the album War Party. It was initially TheReaganator321, which I had Pulse remove the numbers from in about 2007 (I think). The only evidence of this left now is the Deathborn sig Zaneblade (not the same guy as Zane the global mod) made for me in 2005, when I still had that name.


Do you have any heroes?

Not really, unless you include myself, lol.


What sort of hobbies or interests do you have?

I'm pretty active in the Doom community nowadays, which that somewhat eats some of my time up. I haven't really been gaming much as of late, though I do think I should get back into it. I'm also interested heavily in music, as my sig shows.

I've been into metal since December 2003, when I realised that the Fear Factory song on the Mortal Kombat movie OST was one of my favorite songs on the soundtrack. Before that I was huge into "Weird Al" Yankovic, who I recently decided to get back into his works. As for favorites, pretty much Fear Factory, KMFDM, and then whatever I happen to be big on at the moment (right now I'd say Tom G. Warrior's works (Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Apollyon Sun, Triptykon), but there's more than that).


What annoys you or gets under your skin?

More or less things being forced on me without any consent whatsoever. It doesn't have to be anything specific, but things forcefully imposed on me (or other people sometimes) can get very annoying. The other thing is people who are dumb in an aggravating way. There's times where it's like Stimpy from Ren and Stimpy, where it's not that bad, but when it makes things difficult or bad, then it gets pretty annoying. I'm also quite anti-racism, anti-nazism, and anti-communism, which those three things are quite annoying (especially the second point, since I'm of 25% German descent).


What are your favorite movies or TV shows?

I haven't really watched TV in years (since 2008), on account of all my stuff moving from my basement to the second floor, and for a few months I had no TV service in this room. However, I was a fan of things like Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, Metalocalypse, Gurren Lagann, Hokuto no Ken (despite not watching that much of it), Dexter's Laboratory (as well as much of Cartoon Network's older lineup), and more. I used to be big into TV. As for movies, Apocalypse Now, Alfred Hitchcock's works, High Anxiety, Dr. Strangelove, Baseketball, Citizen Kane (though it does get a little tedious), as well as others I can't remember at this time.


Which consoles do you own?

I pretty much grew up Nintendo, and have a SNES dating to 1991 in my closet (mostly functional, though shows bad signs of wear), a N64 dating to 1996 (pretty much fully functional), a Gamecube dating to 2003, a Wii dating to 2007, but I have a PS1 dating to 1998 or so in my closet, but it wasn't really mine until a few years ago, so I only have 4 games for it and I don't really play it. If they count, in my desk drawer are my Game Boy Pocket (from 1996), Game Boy Color (from 1998), and elsewhere are my Game Boy Advance (from 2003) and DS (from 2005).


Do you have any future plans?

Mostly to graduate from the university I go to now, which if things go well, should happen in May 2012 (this upcoming May). I also would like to get a job, which I'm in the process of getting one at a Pathmark (I've already gone on one interview), and given this things are looking good in that prospect.

My name is Brett. Known as B. Grozz in real life. (not giving you the full last name as it's so rare you can find me easily). I am a skater kid who listens to punk rock. 18 years old.

What made you stick to the community?
The activity and the cool people. But in the past few years, I didn't stick around too much. But now, there's a very special reason why I will never leave. It's a secret ;D

Top 3 Games
1) Starcraft - So customizable. Everybody makes cool shit and it makes the game endless. It's addicting.

2) Perfect Dark - Multiplayer was awesome. You can make the bots as fucking godly or brainless as you want. I can sit there and play the same multiplayer level all day.

3) Pokemon Silver - Classic game. I always find myself going back to this more than any other RPG. best of the Pokemon series.

Any other interests?
Getting drunk and bullshitting with friends. Playing video games, watching random movies, etc. Fapping when I'm up for it. And yes, going to Six Flags to have a fuckin blast.

You said skating, correct? Can you elaborate on that?
Well, I dress in nothing but skate clothes all the time (even when I sleep), and I own a skateboard. I really can't do anything on it, but there's just something about standing up on 4 wheels that's just so exhilarating. But, yeah, I would like to learn some tricks but my griptape is way out of whack.

What are some of your favorite bands/genres?
The only genres I really like is punkish style music and some other forms of rock. There's not too many bands I listen to. The Offspring, Green Day, Blink 182, Box Car Racer, Bad Religion, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sum 41, Guns N Roses. Not much else.

Any heroes?

Favorite movies would be: Robin Hood, The Dark Knight, Mallrats, Happy Gilmore, Cars, and Ace Ventura

How did you find Nintendo Forums?

I had just purchased a Wii so I googled "Nintendo forums" So I could talk about it with other people.

Who made the decision to buy a Wii? Steve or the beard? What made you choose to stay on the forum?

I did, the beard wanted a 360, but I was too poor at the time, and as for the forum, I just liked and looked up to the other members and wanted to be cool like them (as lame as that sounds)
