Yea I'm not real sure why they made her say all the stuff about percentages and most of them were ridiculous... Like master there is a 90% this is the lake so and do character was talking about. No fi this is the lake making it a 100% chance it is the lake

lol, a great deal of it was for humor.

Seriously, if you ever go through the game again, pay special attention to Fi. Since she is incapable of understanding human emotion/feelings/thought-patterns/whatever (being a robot-sword-spirit-thing), the things she says can be absolutely hilarious. They did an absolutely fantastic job of writing her character, even if she does talk way too much. Target and check every enemy with Fi, every character, talk to her about rumors and whatever - she's full of classic, classic lines. Like, if you investigate Peatrice with her, lol. One great line comes when she asks you who you think is ahead at the volcano, and you say 'Zelda' instead of the 'Woman in Black.' Something like, "Master... I calculate only a 10% probability that you are correct. Rounded up."

There's a very fine line between ditsy and sarcastic, and Fi is it.

If they have these clever lines they should have worked them into the main story more. I'm already sick of hearing her talk all the time so I don't feel especially compelled to scan shit so I can listen to her babble further. My impression of the character was obviously quite different than yours Bonsly, because I felt her to be boring and lifeless. I'm aware you could scan things with her, I just never once felt the urge to. Maybe if more of the character's personality was on display in the main story I would have, but nope.

That said, the line you quoted was absolutely hilarious.

    :p

Yeah, most of her hilarity comes from optional stuff - the scanning and informing of various enemies and characters. She has a couple great lines in the main progression ("Rounded up" being one of them, another when you first meet her - "Ah, the oral tradition..."), but for the most part, it's reserved for her explanations. Scan these things just to get you started - Peatrice, Peater (dad of Peatrice), Guays (the black birds in the forest), various Bokoblins - then maybe you'll be compelled to hear what she has to say for others :p

Another reason I love her is because of her character design. Just yum <3

Haha. I'm sorry Togeshroob. wtf. It's been a long too with can't doing words not standing for think how...oueh;kljn[oighug.
I will concede though, her character design is very "yum".

Maybe the next time I play through I'll shave off some of the side questing and try harder to give a shit about what she's saying and scan stuff. At this point I'm just ready to be finished.

    OMG, Meta her theme -

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6cqkbvd1PA

I had forgotten; her theme song is, like, half the reason I love Fi. So good, so good. It's easily one of my very favorite Zelda songs, and one of my very favorite things to come from the entire game of Skyward Sword. (Be careful reading comments on that video-song... a couple are a teensy bit spoily. And certainly don't venture off anywhere else D:<)

And don't worry 'bout the name, lol. I've done the same thing before. Speaking of Bonsly, is he still around? I haven't seen him much.

When does that even play in the game? Shit, maybe it plays all the time and I just don't notice it..
It's pretty good I guess, but I don't find it to be super memorable.

Once at the beginning, once at the end, as far as I remember (different versions). It's just gorgeous, though. I love Andean music. Also, I editted it in my last post, but I noticed you were already reading the thread earlier - please be careful of spoilers with that link :<

But, uh, out of curiosity's sake (and for the love of derailing threads), where are you in the game?

    Too late. Haha. XD
I was reading through some of the comments and I found out what happens to Fi at the end of the game. :'( Oh well. I stopped reading after that. lol It could have been worse.

But I just got the fire dragon's piece of the song from Eldin Volcano. I still have to go to Faron Woods and Lanayru Desert for the third time each. I feel like I'm close to the end, but I keep getting side tracked finding gratitude crystals and what not. I really want to see what happens when I get 80 for Batreaux.

Ahhh, well... honestly, that's not terribly spoily, considering all the rest of the stuff that happens towards the end. And, if you thought about it for awhile before, considering where SS is in the timeline, you can kinda come to some kind of conclusion like that - I know I did. Sorry 'bout that, but you're right, it definitely could have been worse.

But oh, I love that part of Eldin Volcano. It's amazing all the different things they're able to do with their level design... And collecting Grabitude Crackles is actually fun (unlike Gold Skulltulas, Treasure Charts, and Poe Souls), because you get them from (usually) interesting/fun sidequests.

I found SS to be incredibly forgettable, both as a game by itself and as a Zelda game. Everything about the game felt like an inane chore and the premises for them were incredibly weak. Do these same three zones twice, this boss three times, and collect all these different collectibles that serve little purpose. Very 'meh' game overall.

OoT is still the better game, easily. The only thing I ever felt bothered by were the skulltulas. A lot of them came naturally, though.

I don't like either one of them.

OOT is overrated and parts of it don't hold up well anymore.

SS is boring in a lot of places and the first few hours are slow. Plus I can't fucking stand the Wii Motion Plus controls.
