This is the place to discuss everything Xenoblade Chronicles related. Discuss your first impressions, strategies, Q&A or just brag about your current stats and achievements/awards. I know Japan and the PAL territories have already had this game for a good while now, but we Americans just received our copies on April 6th. So allow the discussions to commence!

Side Note: Please add a, "Spoilers Alert," heading, if your post(s) contains possible spoilers. This JRPG is way too awesome to ruin the experience for somebody else.

Thank you, @LK. They say great minds think alike. Hahaha! By the way, where/how the hell did you still find a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles. You seriously got lucky my friend. The fricken artbook is selling for $50.00 right now on Amazon. Who cares about saving $5.00 off the cost of a Classic Controller Pro, when you can save $50/full price by selling the artbook on Amazon? I'm seriously thinking about listing mine soon. lol

I bought it off the Nintendo Official Online Store (whatever it's called). It didn't say it was sold out or anything and my purchase went through, so it should still ship.

I'm playing it right now, I bought mine from a Gamestop on the 6th. It's been really fun so far, still trying to get used to the controls, perhaps it would be easier on a classic controller.

The controls take some time to get used to - it plays a lot like a MMO in that regard - auto attacking and such. But the battle system keeps on expanding right up until the end, so it's never dull.

Yeah, I actually really like the battle system, though at times I will just let a fight run through as I do something on the computer. As for controls, I using Wiimote + Nunchuck and they feel pretty natural.

This is one reason why I ended up not getting this game. The battle system sounds very Final Fantasy XII. I didn't really like the battle system in FF XII.

    Also, don't like MMO style.

This is also why I ended up not getting White Knight Chronicles.

Did anyone else buy this game from Nintendo's online store? Mine still hasn't shipped and it's bumming me out. By the time I get it my excitement for the game will probably be gone.

Mmm, no sorry, I picked I'm up from Gamestop. You might try contacting someone about it to see if they are on back order.

Sadly, I haven't opened my copy just yet. I've been fairly busy lately, and I've been trying to experience some of the few masterpieces the Wii has to offer. Which I originally missed out on. Right now, I'm playing through Super Mario Galaxy. I can't believe I waited until now to finally purchase a copy. Although, in my defense, I hadn't owned a Wii console until 2010. I couldn't resist the red 25th anniversary console. I don't think I'll be able to wait for very much longer, though. Xenoblade Chronicles hasn't left my thoughts, since I brought it home on April 6th. All of the unmatched praises I've been reading on the other gaming forums I frequent hasn't been making it any easier either.

Yeah, I was overwhelmed by temptation yesterday and decided to open Xenoblade Chronicles. This is a beast of a JRPG! It took me 4 1/2 hours just to scout Colony 9 completely, finish 7 sidequests and I only advanced the story once. I believe Colony 9 is one of the smallest areas in the game too, isn't it?

Neither did I - and this is one of my favorite games this generation. It's a pricy title - but it's worth renting once it does become available. It's a whole lot of fun- and the story is fantastic.
