Are there any other Nintendo Forums members also considering this purchase? I truly believe the Wii motion controls compensate more than enough for any loss in the level of graphics.

While i was thinking of getting this game on Xbox, i don't think i would ever get it on Wii.
While pointing at the screen seems more precise with shooting games, i don't know how much i like it, really.

I used to play WaW on the Wii and was exceptionally well at it, too.

The motion controls certainly were very responsive but could get really jumpy at times. It takes a little time to figure how big of dead zone you need and the sensitivity setting, but it worked well.

Sadly, I can't go back and play it anymore because I can't find the right sensitivity that works to successfully kill other people.

    Don't you agree, Zach?

Personally not a CoD fan, but my friends that are wouldn't even consider it. The motion controls just aren't the same. Doesn't feel right. According to them anyway.

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod!

I'm really not sure what issues your friends have had with motion controls, but every Wii owner I've spoken with has stated that they're extremely more accurate and makes the experience more enjoyable and realistic. Maybe your friends just aren't accustomed to motion controls, as it does take some time to familiarise yourself with them.

Newsflash JonmanOwns, they've been porting COD to the Wii console. Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition and Call Of Duty: Black Ops my friend, and MW3 happens to be the best thus far.

The whole problem behind the CoD franchise is they rely so much on their games looking pretty that they toss very little else in. Once you take the shiny graphics away all you have is an average-at-best FPS. Now toss in a Wiimote which, let's all be honest here for once, is not synonymous with being responsive or effective in shooters.

CoD should stay on the shiny consoles and leave Wii to the casual simulators and reboots.

That's strange Unsound M, as I've always found the motion controls to be 10X more accurate and responsiveness is much, much quicker then any analog D-pad. Not to mention the fact they're 10X more enjoyable and realistic. I'm being completely honest when I say, I know of three other Wii owners who are receiving a PS3 as a Christmas gift, and they're still purchasing MW3 for the Wii console. I could really give a rat's ass about HD graphics, as they don't in any way expand on any type of innovative gameplay features. I've seen a lot of hateful comments towards the Wii console, and all of which contain not one valid or salutary statement. But yet, more Wii consoles have been sold than the PS3 and X-box 360 console sales combined. I've already accumulated 3 other Wii friends at [NL] Nation who'll I'll be battling with online, so if not one Nintendo Forums member happens to join me then that is quite alright by me my friend.

Wow, there's not even one other NF member who owns this yet? I thought at least a couple members would've owned this by now. I've been informed by other players that own Modern Warfare 3 on more than one console, that they enjoy playing it more on their Wii compared to playing it on their PS3 or X-box 360. I wouldn't ignore this title just because it's a Wii port.

By the way, has anyone been informed lately as to the DLC packs? And if so, has there been any news, as to if it will also be made available for Wii owners?

I have World at War for Wii, which was my first Call of Duty game. I loved how responsive the controls were, and how accurate the pointer is. Second to a PC's mouse, it's one of the most fun and accurate ways to play a first-person shooter. The only reason CoD fanboys don't like their games on Wii is because it's different. They love their controllers (so much so that the PlayStation controller has barely even changed at all over the years) and there's no tearing them away from them. They were brought up with what they like, and they don't want to change or try anything new. That's their call. CoD is not such a good FPS, but for Wii, it's gotta be one of the best. There's just not a lot else besides CoD, Conduit 1+2 and Metroid Prime.
About DLC, I don't think the Wii supports that kind of thing. The 3DS does now, thanks to its new system update.

I heard that MW3 is pretty much just a glorified map pack for MW2. I've never played any CoD game, unless you count CoD 3 on PS2, so I wouldn't really know. Also, motion controls in a first person shooter sound like they could work but they just make it seem odd for some reason.
