Many of you will probably not remember (whilst most of you were not even here when it was around), but at one point in time there was very fun feature I put together called the "Nintendo Forums Game of the Year." It was basically a vote to see what we generally think, as a group, what the best game of each year is. The rules were pretty simple: first there was a nomination thread where you would nominate up to 5 games of that specific (we went with North American release dates as there were many more North Americans than anyone else). You could nominate between one to five games but you couldn't vote for more than five. So if you wanted to nominate one game, you could nominate said game five times. But if you wanted to nominate three games you would have to split your 5 nominations between those three games (like, say, one had 3 votes and the others had one each). After all of the nominations have been added up I would take the 5 most nominated games and begin a poll. There you would vote for a specific game you think is the best game of that year. When the voting is done the game with the highest vote wins the Nintendo Forums "Game of the Year." It's actually a lot of fun, I had a great time last time I put it together. But seeing as the forums is entirely different I thought it would be a great idea to do it over again with a new group of members. First, though, I want to know what year we should start with. 1994? 1998? 2001? 2007? 2010? Simply vote for the year you want to vote on first and I'll make a thread based on the year soon. EDIT: Oh, and I voted for 2007.

I voted 2006 because that was the first year both the 360, PS3 and Wii were available for purchase. Also, that's about as far back as my memory goes. |

Depends if he chooses the outright winner or, like, picks the median choice, which would be 2002. |

2007 was my first inclination, but I voted 1995 for no real reason. This should be fun, though; thanks for bringing it back up LK! |
