Hey, I know this is very off-topic (considering its on this thread :P) but lately I've been inspired to make videos on Windows Movie Maker (NOT the live one). Anyways, After FINALLY downloading the very annoying codec program, it finall allowed me to import my videos. Except for one thing.... IT ONLY PLAYED THE AUDIO! For example, when I imported the video, I played it, and the audio was fine, but the video itself was a black screen..I checked Google, Youtube, everything, but no luck. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance! |

I know this is probably the least useful tip I can give you, but Window Movie Maker is a terrible program. Honestly the best option is to just do some research and find another program that isn't bundled for free with every PC sold. |

Ya, I'm going to have to agree with Unsound and say that Windows Movie Maker is basically worthless. Waaaaayyyyyyyy back in the day I used to edit on it, and it is absolutely terrible. You don't have to break the bank with Adobe Premiere or anything like that. For the type of use you are probably going to get out of it, high end programs would just be over complicated anyway! If I were you, I would go with Sony Vegas. There's a bunch of different versions and I'm sure you'll be able to find something in your price-range. Believe me. You will not regret a penny of the $50 or whatever it is you'll spend. And in all honesty I'm sure you most likely aren't going to need or use the new features in the latest versions of the software, so you might as well just go for an older version and save even more money. |
