Hilariously derailing one-liner
|
Prime 1 was awesome. Prime 2 was almost as great. Zero Mission could've been better. Fusion was disappointingly linear. |

Super Metroid, Metroid Prime (haven't played 2+3), Metroid Fusion Are all phenomenal... I played through like half of the original but then my game got shut off and I hadn't been writing passwords down stupid password system in the first one the save stations have just been an icon of the series to me having played all the other ones before the original, pretty annoying, Zelda had a save system... The only thing that is bad about Other M is that it really emphasizes the fact that Samus is a girl, and they really try to explain Samus as a character in a way that was not welcomed by many fans, the gameplay its self was pretty great though. I wouldn't wanna know that much about Link's personal life either... I like Samus being the loner bounty hunter, mysterious but tough. and its cool that you can play any other Metroid the whole way through not even realizing that she is a girl, I can still enjoy it but deep down that's why people don't like it.

Metroid and Metroid II are enjoyable - required you have a map. Else you're just wandering around half of the time with no idea where you're going. Though this only applies because they're so primitive by today's standards - Super Metroid has more recognisable landmarks, and as such this problem is solved and instead becomes a joyous play-style. It's not my favourite in the series, but Super is a damn good game. Fusion is very enjoyable, but simply lacks the edge of other titles - not sure what it is, but it's there. As for Zero Mission: what a game! One of my favourites, and easily in my Top 5 GBA. Everything about it is done so well - it gives you just the right amount of direction whilst still allowing for exploration, it feels incredibly fluid and not the least bit clunky, a fairly decent balance of difficulty (though leaning much more to the easy side, admittedly), and visuals that still stun me. My one criticism is it's length, though at the same time this is a strength, as it makes the game perfect for quick replays. Though, I can't say I'm all that much of a Prime trilogy fan. I can't comment on the first entry, but Echoes was fairly boring and not hugely enjoyable. I kind of liked it, but nowhere near enough to finish it. Corruption, now, was horrid - the controls were terrible, there was little to distinguish it as a good game, the puzzles weren't rather uninspired and dull, and the campaign was rather generic and uninventive. I've played Corruption and Prime Hunters for DS, but I played them both quite frequently and enjoyed them a lot. I think I'll get the two for gameboy soon, been getting pretty bored. |

Yeah, I agree. I heard there was a MP3 at the time in 2006 but back then I didn't have a Wii (I didn't get my Wii untill Christmas morning, 2008), so I just took everyone's advice and decided not to play it. Well, when I got my Wii I rented MP3 and all I gotta say is that Metroid Prime 1 & 2 are better than MP3 IMHO. |

I think no Metroid game is better than Super Metroid. One of my favorite games of all time. I've always head how good the Primes are but, I still think that even if I played them I will still think Super Metroid is a lot better. |
