http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/116/1162323p1.html I don't know if any of you have seen this already, but there's totally a new Sonic game this year (surprising, I know). It's called "Sonic Generations" and you get to play as old-school, 16-bit Sonic and the new modern Sonic. From the gameplay trailer it looks pretty neat. The old-school Sonic levels look very fun, though, the newer Sonic levels look lame. I was disappointed with Sonic 4 because it thought it controlled terribly, but this looks like it could be cool. I'll wait until I see the general reviews for it, though. |

I saw the introduction trailer when they announced the title. I don't like the old side scrolling Sonic titles at all, so I hope you'll get to choose who you play as when going through the title. Not that I'll be picking up the title any time soon, though - there's already way too much on my plate as it is. Cool trailer, though. |

I really couldn't see that much of a difference between them , atleast when it was showing the actual game . When it said the old sonic , I thought it would be using the actual 16 bit sprite , not just slightly different colours . They keep trying to do all this stuff to revive sonic , but they make atleast one of them every bloody year ! Then again sega are still hopefull that at some point they might get their own console again ....... |

Well look at it this way... Mario comes up with more then one game per year, and Sonic was meant to take him down. Now that there living on the same system. (some go on the others to) Its to expect, expecally with Sega. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV1Osnkr5Nc (Trailer gameplay video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wuj-6T_ymqg (entire level for modern sonic and classic sonicplayed through) From what I see? Its simply just Sonic and the levels we use to love, No horrible attachments of Werehog or other odd things Sega could have done. Edited by Sonic The Hedgehog, Apr 27 2011, 04:08 PM.

I played a few and they all are virtually the same , they keep remaking the same game like they didnt just do it before . the classic sonic levels are just shiny looking versions of the levels from the first sonic game , much like sonic 4 . |

This one probably isn't going to be good, and the 3D Sonic is going to ruin it (just my prediction). I'll wait and see though for reviews to see if it's actually good first... |

I loved this game, especially the green hill zone stage, because it made all the other green hill zone stages look like crap, imo. Plus, the graphics and sound quality was amazing in this game...

This game looks really awesome, combining both of the awesome sonic worlds together! I played the demo too and it's so awesome just like the classic but I wish it had a modern level too.

I must say this game looks intriguing, specifically with all the new trailers and screenshots that have been floating around recently. It's cool how they're apparently reimagining 3D stages like City Escape into traditional 2D-planed designs (while updating the originals, of course). I also saw some recent screenshots of some entirely new 2D stages a la the old games, and they look pretty great. And Shadow? I suppose he could basically be an alternate costume for Sonic. But will he be more than that, with different powers/story/stages? |
