I like the boxart but I couldn't help but notice the gold colour is a bit pee-like. It doesn't go well with the white box IMO. It looks like that because it's supposed to have that gold look to it. But I made one anyway 8D There's also the announcement of a Wii Play sequel and some other stuff, so maybe that justifies it a bit more. Anyhow, I like this boxart better than the fanmade one. The fanmade one is... I dunno, it tries too hard with the 'epic' feel, whereas the official one is simple and basic, yet epic at the same time.

You could order some vinyl (or say you're a business prospector looking for samples), print out a design on it, and simply cut it out. Because we do commercial work as well, we have a high-end vinyl cutter. We don't have any gold vinyl at the moment, though. I dunno - I'll talk to my dad, see if we can't make a bunch of them and maybe offer them up for NF competitions or something. They aren't very expensive to make, so it's really not that big of a deal. The etching, on the other hand....well, we'd have to find out what kind of plastic the 3DS lid is - different plastics etch with different chemicals. I know glass etch is about $40 for a small, (very dangerous) canister, and plastic etch is a bit less expensive (depending on the type.) But you'll need a stencil either way, so you'll need either a metal or vinyl design of it. Edited by IceCatraz, Apr 13 2011, 11:25 PM.
