Please help, I charged my DSi last night and the next morning, I woke up to turn on my DSi and It the top screen is blank. My DSi was fully charged and the top screen is blank but the touch screen is normal. Another problem was that the DSi is fully charged but it turns off every 30 seconds. Also I can see a little bit of the top screen clearly in a blank way. PLEASE HELP!!!! :'(

    Don't you agree, Zach?

Has it had any rough handling (eg. been dropped)? That may have disconnected something inside. Whatever the case, I think the best option would be to have Nintendo repair it.

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod!

    Always tl;dr

Also, it could depend on how long you've owned your DSi. Sometimes the battery will stop keeping a charge, which might be why it's turning off. If it's still under warranty, send it in to Nintendo. If not, you can get it repaired for around $60.

I owned the Nintendo DSi for 3 years.

My aunt's DS Lite would do the same thing (top screen would go black). The only way I fixed it was to close it, wait a couple seconds, and then reopen it and everything was good again.
Voted "A serious lurker who'll one day live in a box!" Thanks Everyone!

Sounds like the little wire that connects to the top one might have been damaged or broken. Can you hear sound out of it?
