Spirit Tracks, by far. PH was short, easy, shallow (lolpunny), uninspired, unassuming, repetitive, and overall, boring. ST was (decently) long, innovative (in some ways), boasts an amazing soundtrack, features some of the best top-down dungeon design in the series, and is overall the more polished and well-produced game of the two. The only reason you should play PH is if you want to understand all the little cameos and such certain characters make in ST. But most of them can be understood from Wind Waker, and none of them are really all that important. |

I only played ST in the beginning and i didn't like the look of the game or what it was about, the enemy looked ridiculous but i thought Phantom Hourglass was decent, had its flaws but was fun to some extent. Would recommend PH rather than the other, although i didn't finish ST cause it looked uninteresting but PH i mastered so there you have my opinion

^ I don't mean to be an opinion Nazi (actually yes, yes I do), but 'I didn't like the look of the game' is hardly valid criteria to judge a game. If that and the fact that the main enemy's design rubs you the wrong way are the biggest irks you have, that sounds like a pretty great game! |

PH , the game was longer and more intresting , although the repeat trips to the temple of the ocean king could get annoying they practically had the same thing in ST with the tower . |

Except not? Not only did you get to skip the absurd backtracking present in PH, but the entire ST Tower dungeon is huge and brimming with interesting new mechanics and puzzle ideas, quite unlike PH's. You return to ST's Tower after each realm you clear of the overworld, and each new segment of dungeon builds on concepts and abilities previously learned, resulting in some incredible design towards the later stages. Also, PH was not longer. While PH had six (short and easy) dungeons and ST had five (progressively interesting and well-built) dungeons, ST had much more to do, be it side quests, optional dungeons, and the 30-floored Tower of Spirits dungeon between overworld progression. Definitely more bang for the buck. |
