I enjoy both the 2D and 3D games equally, so this is exciting. Looks fantastic.

Bombette Posts: 137 Group: Bombette Member #12,559 Joined: February 15, 2010	I hope to God it's not another Galaxy game,They were fun, But i want something a little more new. and since Tiny Mario seems to be in the game (aswell as the Levels themselves and perhaps the Tanooki suit),I can tell it's going to be a 2D Mario-style 3D game. EDIT: by looking more closely at the pictures,it may actually be a 2D Mario game. maybe it's just the Camera angles of the screenshots that makes us think that it's going to be a 3D game. Look at Mario's stance in the first screenshot—it's the same stance he has in Galaxy. It would also make sense for the 3DS with it's Gamecube-like graphics and analog stick.

If you look at the top two screenshots, you can see the navigable areas in the background, on a different plane, and the third screenshot has blocks going into the Z plane (the third dimension). The fourth screenshot could be either, I suppose.

Plus i wanna know where this game will take us? The mushroom kingdom is getting old, so there will most likely be a new place he will go!

In fact, they teased Skyward sword E3 2009, showed gameplay E3 2010, and we have confirmation it's coming sometime after E3 2011. Plus, given all the other big name games coming out and the fact that this game appears to be in early-ish development stages, it seems only logical to wait awhile to release it. But, like you said, you never know ;p
