    Unpopular but awesome DS games

What are some DS games you have that are unpopular but awesome and you love playing them?

    I'll start off with some.

Disgaea DS - It's an SRPG, but the best thing about the game is that it has amazing dialog. It's hilarious and when you get into the game, it gets addicting.

LOL - It is THE BEST PARTY GAME for 4 as long as all 4 have a DS. You just need one copy of the game. It's a simple drawing game, but it is fun. There's no singleplayer but it was made for parties, I guess.

Picross 3D - It's a picross puzzle game BUT IN 3D. I mean it's awesome. Even if you don't know anything about picross or what it even is, this game is still great since it gives you an excellent tutorial. The game will keep you amused for months. There are over 300 puzzles + downloadable puzzles + you can make your own puzzles.

Oh man, there are so many. I'll list a few now, and come back with more later.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor: An awesome SRPG game, similar to Final Fantasy Tactics but with an awesome story, awesome art, awesome music, etc. Once you get into it, it's nearly impossible to put down. I literally missed school because I played the title into the night.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey: A completely different title from Devil Survivor, this one is a dungeon crawler with an awesome, mature story line (every SMT title has a mature story line, but this one is equally fantastic), with an amazingly deep fusion system, awesome music, and a really gripping sense of isolation. It's pretty hard, too, and the game dabbles with a lot of cult like stuff, so if you're into that, this is your game. It features redesigns of the monsters from Devil Survivor. The SMT series itself is awesome - I mean, what other game let's you fight side by side with Anubis (the Egyptian god), Thor (the Norse God), and Titania (from Shakespearean lore)?

Infinite Space: From Nudemaker and Platinum Games (Bayonetta, Mad World, Vanquish - most of the members are from Capcom's defunct Clover Studios, the people behind Okami, and Viewtiful Joe), it's an insanely deep RPG that's been named the "Mass Effect" of the DS. It's story is possibly the deepest that you'll ever get on the DS, with a steep learning curve and over 150 members for your ship. The art style is fantastic, and even though the game is insanely long, if you're into the whole "epic" feel behind Mass Effect, you can't go wrong with Infinite Space.

Puzzle Quest / Puzzle Quest 2: Also available for the PC, this game plays like Bejewled, but throws in attacks and magic. It's a competitive title, and it's an awesome experience. The story is pretty thin, but the multiplayer aspect and the quick play modes are great. I'll admit, it's better on the PC by a mile, but if you've only got a DS, then you can't go wrong. I'd suggest 2 over 1 for the more balanced gameplay and challenging AI.

Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes: (Recently released for the Xbox Live Arcade) This game is insanely addicting. Possibly my second favorite puzzle game (falling behind the classical Tetris), this game mixes the popular match 3 mechanic, throws in some fantasy characters, and mixes it altogether with a shallow, yet addicting story mode that'll have you coming back for more. There's no online play, but there is DS download, and you only need 1 copy of the game. It features 5 unique races, with each race having 2 "Captains" - each captain is different, has different stats, and has a different "power", making the gameplay fast paced and very strategic.

    Princess of Pink.

I actually really loved Super Princess Peach!
Everyone hated on that game (Mostly girls too) because her attacks were emotion based and she always seemed like she was PMSing.
But overall it was a fun Mario style platformer, though hard as hell to beat because you couldn't beat it until you had every single toad saved, and there was three in every level. Plus Peach deserved her own game. And it suited her cuteness!

Star Wars Episode III is the only one I can think of. The game did not necessarily receive any bad critic scores, but a lot of my friends laughed at the fact that I bought a movie based title for my DS.

Well, it's their loss because I found it to be quite a bit of fun, especially the multiplayer mode. Sadly, I know nobody who had purchased the game, so I was stuck playing with bots. Still fun though.

    Here are some more titles:

    Picross/Picross 3D
    The World Ends With You
    Hotel Dusk
    Soma Bringer
    Trauma Center Titles
    Another Code
    Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time
    Geometry Wars
    Lunar Knights
    Nanostray 1 and 2
    Space Invaders Extreme
Suikoden Tierkreis (109 playable characters say wut)
Age of Empires – The Age of Kings / Mythologies
    Bangai-O-Spirits
    Etrian Odyssey Series
Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure
    Lost Magic
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier

All FANTASTIC titles that are pretty unpopular to the public. Out of the ones listed, Endless Frontier and The World Ends with You are ones that I played start to finish multiple times, so I'd look into those first.

Ivy the Kiwi? (yes, that is the name of the game)

It's a game that was released for BOTH Wii and DS (retail)... The gameplay is similar to Kirby's Canvas Curse, but personally, I like this game better. There are plenty of levels, and there are 10 leafs that you collect in each one. The levels are fun (some challenging), and the game is pretty awesome. I would DEFINITELY get it if I were you, as I bought it, and I couldn't put it down. I bought it for $10 or $15 (including shipping) new on Amazon, and it was worth it.

I had a Star Wars 3 game, but I don't know if that was too unpopular. Despite how bland it was, I played through it a few times. >_>

Yes!!! That game is so awesome. I was amazed at how much fun it was collecting demons, and it also has hilarious dialogue between you and some of the demons you have to win over, but not so that it puts off the creepy atmospheric tone of the overall game.

Exactly! The entire series is like that - and depending on the title, it gets pretty edgy, too. (Specifically the Night/Seductress Demons - Lilim in particular), but it's all awesome.

I bet. I tried playing the original Persona on psp though, and I can't get into it...I want to like the game because the art style is so unique, but idk.

The original Persona title is probably the poorest of all of the titles (which is saying a lot, because the game gets really good after about 4 hours in), but it's worth getting into. If you want a unique art style, though, go with Persona 3 Portable (second favorite game of all time, and with great reason) - it's style is just gorgeous.
