I just picked up on my paper mario on vc again recently and was wondering what chapter you find the best. Whether it be for a cool boss fight, music or simple nostalgia factor. I am on chapter 6 the one in flower world or whatever its called it is pretty cool, but i also like the toybox and the desert, and while i am not there yet i remember loving the snow chapter where you could slide on rooftops. ARRGGHH so many good areas!!

Shy Guy's Toybox was an awesome chapter, but I'll have to go with the Crystal King chapter. The boss is awesome, and the dungeon itself was a lot of fun to go around.

Oh, the ice chapter FOR SURE. Loved that chapter. The environments, music, puzzles, boss fight, everything—spectacular.

Though, the best chapter of any Paper Mario game is chapter 3 from The Thousand-Year Door. It's like a fucking boxing tournament, plus really fun. The weird mystery, working your way up the ranks, the boxing-like bouts. Ah, so much fun. Great ending too, especially when you can come back and do it again after you beat the game. Fun stuff.

Shy Guy's Toy Box is a lot of fun in the original game, but Glitzville and Excess Express from TTYD are the best.

thousand year door had some amazing environments. even though i despised playing the second chapter, with all the little glow bugs and the ghost lady with huge knockers, the art style was so unique. i also really liked the creepy town level, everything looked all emo and weird. GAAAAHHH the sherlock train was awesome and so was the pirate one. that was by far one of the coolest bosses of any mario game fersure, with the skeleton pirate guy.

lolol, TTYD has the best writing ever. And then in SPM, how one of the Sammer Guy's complains about games with colorful graphics being for kids.... You just gotta love Nintendo. The Paper Mario franchise in general has the best writing ever, specifically TTYD and SPM.

As for the original question, my favorite chapter in PM1 was actually Cloudy Skies Over Flower Fields. I dunno, I just really liked the whole atmosphere, and the music was lovely. Shy Guy's Toybox was awesome, though.

But I'll agree anyday that TTYD had my favorite chapters. The Excess Express and the Glitzpitz just can't be beat!

lol thats great i dont remember that. but yeah the paper mario games have some great writing and theyre pretty funny for how tame they are. also i always bust up in the original when you fight that yellow guy with the egg on his head throughout the game and after you beat him he just lays on the ground twitching and mario just walks off like watev.

The insta-death with the ghost toad was fucking creepy as hell, too. Good times.

Damnit, now I want to play Paper Mario. Those games are just too much fun. I guess people are split with Super Paper Mario, but I loved that one just as much as the others, just in a different way.

But now that I think about it, I think I like Tubba Blubba's Mansion the best. Running away from him and hiding with Bow was so much fun as well.

a Paper Mario remake would be fantastic!...unless Paper Mario 3DS IS a Paper Mario remake.
a part of me thinks i'd rather have a PM4, but another part of me wishes it to be a remake.

Paper Mario 3DS is a totally new game, not a remake, judging from the several screenshots we've seen.

Personally, as much as I love the previous games, I soooo glad they're not remaking them. I'd much rather have a totally new package of awesome than one I've already played.

That being said, I'd LOVE a "Paper Mario Bundle" for the 3DS - the first 3 Paper Mario titles in one package. They don't even need to make it 3D or add any extra content - I'd be fine with just straight ports.

this would only be as awesome as nintendos common fucking sense to have memory cards for their new 3ds because i hate having all my data for a game saved on the effing game when it is constantly being taken out and stuff.especially for an rpg. god forbid anything happen to a paper mario game save i have been working on for months get eaten by a sibling or some shit. plus then you cant let friends borrow the game, unless you have absolute faith they will gaurd the game with their very life and the game has multiple save slots...BLARRGHH!! i really think nintendo should just take a tip from psp.
