the music that our parents listened too was great music. it beats the hell out of music that comes out today, thats for sure. im a classic rock kinda guy and rock is a dying breed, when i have a child, he or she won't get to go see the great concerts i've been exposed to. everyone worth going to see will either be too old to play or dead. something needs to happen to just give music a 180 degree turn back to the 60's and 70's. |

I don't think you realize how much bad music came out in the 60's and 70's. Or any decade for that matter. |

Perhaps this has already been said, but I'm going to read through all that text at the moment. I don't think this generation's music is all that bad. Most of the mainstream stuff doesn't appeal to me, but there's a lot more music than just what's mainstream. I'll readily admit that I do enjoy some of the "taboo" music (I actually liked the song at the end of the latest Karate Kid, for example, and that was Justin Bieber. ). Like Zane just said, there has always been bad music. I still have CDs from the 90's with a bunch of songs that were popular with younger ages and some of it is just awful.Anyway, there's my two cents. |

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod! -afrad15 | |

80's & 90's music was way better than todays music. I dont like Justin Bieber and look what Miley Cyrus has become. Alot of these younger musicians believe they should be handed everything and not have to work for it. |

I cannot stand pop or most rap at all. I hate how everyone thinks Eminem or Justin Bieber is the greatest thing in music, when I can name several bands or singers that are better. |

Indeed, our generation does have bad taste in music and movies. I was listening to the radio last night on the way back home and this stupid pop song came up, it was like "Scratch my back I'll scratch yours" so I think the song was about scratching people's backs while dancing in the club. 0_0 Today music is only about heading to the clubs, getting drunk, and having s*x. I'm not saying it's not allowed but enough is enough, songs about partying are irritating. Plus, they're getting really old. I don't really go out to the theaters/cinemas anymore, so I don't really have anything to say about the movies. But I've been looking through movie trailers in the internet and the movies that are out aren't really entertaining. This is just my opinion, y'all. >.< |

I can't believe the music business is still in tact. You can download all the songs you want in a matter of seconds for free. Edited by Pyroll7, Mar 30 2011, 09:01 PM.

I know, but they weren't as bad as they are now. It's getting old and people are STILL writing songs about it. -.-" |

People still write about love too. People write about what they like. People listen to what they like. This thread is so moot. |
