I didn't see R2/L2 on this device - hopefully they'll manage to fit them on there by release. If not, the taps seem like a cool idea, as long as it's implemented correctly.

What I want to see (either on the 3DS, the PSP2, or both) is a new Crash game. But I want it to not suck. Warped was the last one that I really enjoyed, so I hope someone can manage to squeeze one out. I know Naughty Dog doesn't have the series anymore, but it would be great if Activision let them on for the title.

Crash started fucking up after the games stopped being made by naughty dog.

I'm not planning on getting either NGP or 3DS for quite sometime. I'm not really a handheld gamer, so I'm not paying launch price for one. I'll probably wait a year or so for the price to go down, or for a some-what impressive library of games to appear.

No - it doesn't have a UMD reader on the back, so it will not be able to read UMDS

The PSP Slim? The PSP Slim is the PSP 2000 - the second generation of PSPs. However, in terms of design, it's practically the same thing as a regular PSP. Do you mean the PSP Go?

The PSP2 is essentially a portable PS3, just not as powerful and with a touch screen.

god once they hack and start emulating everything it's going to be fucking gnarly

Yep indeed! Best handheld thus far, at least it appears to be. 3DS is cool as well though PSP2/NGP will have probably a lot more better games. I mainly have nintendo systems but, really they don't really have that many good games besides sequels to good/classic games (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and a few others).

You can, but it uses a physical media, unlike the PSPGo - it uses memory cards instead of UMDs.

I though the PSP2 was compatible with PSP 3000 games?

I'm pretty sure it is—you just need to download them. You can't use your PSP UMDs.

PSP 3000 games are the same as PSP 2000 and PSP 1000 games - the only difference between the 1000, 2000, and 3000 models are the motherboards, screen quality, and overall heftiness and design - they all play the same games at the same speed, quality, etc. That being said, I do think that there are some games that require the PSP camera, and I'm not sure if those are compatible with the 1000.

However, none of the UMD's are compatible with the PSP2. The PSN version of the games will be, but because the PSP2 lacks a UMD drive, there's no way to play your old PSP games on your PSP2. You'll have to either buy them again, or wait and see if Sony introduces some kind of UMD redemption program.

So, can I like get them for free if I have it?

BTW, I'm probably gonna end up holding on to my PSP 3000 anyway. It's to good to sell.
