So, who here has played the Left 4 Dead games (developed by Valve)? What did you think of them?

I recently got Left 4 Dead 2 and haven't played the first. I've yet to play it, but it looks pretty interesting. Zombie killing spree, ahoy!

I've played it a handful of times on the Xbox in splitscreen mode with my friends. Not exactly the best way to play it, but there you go. It's pretty decent, although I've never been very good at shooters that are as frantic as it is.

To be fair, I'm woefully bad at most shooters, though. :P

    Don't you agree, Zach?

I play L4D2 occasionally on the rare days that I have Xbox Live Gold. I'm pretty bad at them though. Scavenge mode is by far my favorite.

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod!

I've played a good amount of them both and I like them. But I played them both on the 360 so I bet they'd be a lot better on a PC.

Though, I'd like to see a Left 4 Dead game on a new engine. The Source Engine is a bit old.

I highly doubt Valve is going to stop using their own engine in their games. xD Besides, it works without too many troubles, so I don't mind if they continue using the engine.

Perhaps we should organise a few games of L4D2. I have it on PC.

    I have L4D2 and I like(d) it a lot.

I haven't played it since the summer, though.

Sadly I only have a PS3, so I don't get a chance to play most Valve games, and when I do they are crummy ports. My girlfriend is obsessed with L4D2 though and I have played it at her place before. I don't think it is Valves finest work, that honor I'd give to the Half-Life, TF, and Portal games, but it is still a fun series.

I think that L4D2 was alright, my favorite mode to play on is scavenge.

I love playing through the missions/campaign. The dialogue between the characters is hilarious, but Ellis saying stories about his buddy Keith is absolutely priceless.
