the nub has entered the building Posts: 1,336 Group: Birdo Member #13,125 Joined: August 14, 2010	I totally forgot about the side-quests, really, that was also amazing, and imo beat out TP's side quests in every way. They were just so much more engaging and it was interesting and fulfilling when you finished them.

ChuChu Posts: 45 Group: ChuChu Member #13,347 Joined: November 18, 2010	Well even though I hadn't played The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Didn't start playing the games until 2008 when I got an Nintendo 64 off of eBay), I'd have to say The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That game had such an amazing story, good combat, fantastic, absolutely fantastic music, and more things. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time currently is my second favorite video game of all time.

I'm pretty sure there's a substantial amount of people who lived Majora's Mask AND OoT, but Majora's Mask more because it built on what made OoT great.

I loved how personal it was, it was nice to be in a world with characters that felt so human, even if some of them weren't human. However, Ocarina really is a perfect game. I prefer Majora, but Ocarina really is a better piece of gaming. I'm more of a story man myself, though. Hence the Majora vote.

Ocarina of Time just had many secrets. Like fixing a sign that you cut to pieces with Zelda's Lullaby, or how there are pictures of Mario characters in Zelda's little garden place. It's a wonderful game.

Everything about it was so classic, the music, the areas you explore and the weirdass people you encounter. Most importantly you could enjoy all of this without a giant fucking timer beating down on you, letting you know that you were having just a little too much fun and it was time to cut the shenanigans. For me to fully become absorbed into a game i need to be able to explore its world at my own pace and i always feel on edge and paranoid while doing so in MM. Also i always like when something tries to be different, but i just couldn't get into the whole mask thing.. Edited by MetaZora, Jan 2 2011, 08:33 PM.

I just played it so much even when I was a kid and it first came out...I was also very excited when MM came out, and pre ordered it and loved that one too. Basically Ocarina of Time to me, is the standard of all that is zelda (you could argue LTTP) MM really did bring that in new places, these two games are both in my top 5 fav games ever with Ocarina probably being #1... The storyline just like, is what defines the Zelda series.. And MM was incredibly unique and well made.. Both of these amazing games are a big part of why I love Zelda and Nintendo so much. It's cool how you start as a deku once the story comes together, but first time playing that game is frustrating because you want to be link, and without a pressure to figure stuff out immediately. I would bet that it would be more popular if Nintendo had a different beginning to the game.
