Hm, I a little mixed. It seems a bit too soon, don't you think? I thought they would wait until the end of the year, or at least Christmas. But whatever, it's not a big deal. If they go out and release 5 more packs then it wouldn't end up being a big deal.

I like the look of Tempest. Seems like a smaller outdoor environment which is pretty cool. It looks nice, visually. Anchor 9 actually look pretty damn awesome. I like how you can look out and see the earth on the end of it. It may be my favorite map. Breakpoint I don't like. It looks too big and revolves around driving vehicles which I hate. I'm disappoint that it's the snow level because I absolutely love snow environments.

I like how they're not really saying if there will be map variants.

3 Maps for $10? Seems like a IW MW2 map pack scheme.
Voted "A serious lurker who'll one day live in a box!" Thanks Everyone!

Well that's about how long it took them to release the first map pack for Halo 3.

What do you mean by map variants?

That's how much Halo 3 maps were as well. Wasn't the MW2 map packs 1200?

MW2 maps packs were 1200 points.

You usually got 3 new maps, plus 2 recycled ones from CoD4, usually with minor modifications.

I agree with LK though. The game has barely been out a month. I think it would be wiser for them to wait until people think Halo Reach is getting a little stale. Then to spark peoples' interest, release a new map pack and everyone will buy it. Although, mind you, I know I'd buy these...and I haven't even played yet. I think MW2 played it well, but they released their map packs a little to close to each other (May and June I think?). It would have been better if the first one was around February or March, then release the final one in July or August.

Regardless, I love how people bitch about the prices of DLC. It's even funnier when they bitch about the first pack and bitch about the second pack, but they still buy it. Capitalism people. Standard rule, buyer beware.

    SUCK IT PAUL.

Bungie is just doing things like they always have. The heroic map pack came out not too long after Halo 3 was released. Plus there isn't going to be just two map packs. I'm betting on at least 4. Halo 2 had an absolute shit ton of map packs, and Halo 3 had 4 map packs; Heroic, legendary, Mythic 1, and Mythic 2. And that's not even counting the map Cold Storage they gave away for free. The funny thing is a lot of people are bitching that the map pack isn't coming out soon enough.

If Paul has to spend money, he is going to bitch about it. Personally I trust Bungie enough that $10 will buy me some pretty good maps, unlike our friends at Infinity Ward.
