I believe this is one interesting game, because it's most boring the first time you play it. Normally, games gives us the best experience the first time we play them because of graphics, scenario and story. But this game is way different. There are few stages and only two characters, yet, at least for me, it's fun to replay a single stage. Replay to the point that you know EVERYTHING about it. The first time you play a stage you are just trying to survive. The 50th time you play it, you still learn something new. Every stage is full of hidden surprises that are by no means necessary, but if you learn to use them, the game will get more fun. What I'm talking about is gameplay over story. In story driven games, the only thing that makes you come back to the game after finishing it is if there are alternate stories to experience. In Sin and Punishment: SotS, you return because of the gameplay. It's very rare to experience a game like this nowadays when all focus is about stiry and cinematic experiences. Do you understand what I mean, and have you felt the same way somehow? |

I understand what you're saying. S&P is widely praised for it's highly stylized gameplay, and being a truly enjoyable tracked, arcade style shooter. In this type of game, it's never really about the story. It's all about that wild and crazy gameplay that brings you back for more. |

Amen to that, brother! :-) However, the sales of classic shooters nowadays makes me sad. :-( I hope Treasure will survive and keep making their own kind of games without getting too influenced by what's popular and what's selling. |

I have faith that they'll make it through these times. Developers are always looking for a company like this, because they have interesting ideas. S&P is a series unlike many things you see today, as it doesn't try to focus on what games today keep people locked on. As much as I enjoy a riveting story, S&P isn't about that. But that's the beauty, is that it plays the game out in that sense, knowing it's audience is there for gameplay alone. And the bring the fire, in that department. |

I fully agree. I just wish that more people would give it a try. I have played many Treasure games, but i really think this is their very best. It's not TOO hard like Ikaruga, but at the same time, it has plenty of challenge and stuff that you can learn. It's all about mastering the game, and the road to that goal is full of enjoyment! |

Well I have to disagree with you, there. This game is difficult. REALLY difficult. Maybe because I'm just not used to it's style, but some of the levels took me try after try after try to beat. I'm not very used to that. But here, it was actually kind of satisfying. That way, I could work my way to perfection with trial and error. |

Can't remember, since it's been awhile since I last played. I remember something about a giant ghost looking thing ... or was it a baby? Can't really remember. |

If it's a ghost, it's most probably level 4. Was it a forest with rivers? |

I'm thinking so. I do remember a part where spirits are flying at me like crazy. |

Yep, that's definitely level 4. There's also a ghost bouncing a basketball full of skulls. |
