Udon is a Canadian-Art Company thats Well known for Doing the Art Style of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix,And Capcom Comics.

After Browsing Their Deviantart,I Came to the Conclusion that Udon would be PERFECT To do the Art Style for a Metroid Game.

I mean,Just Look at These Examples!.

Their are other styles that I wish to see Metriod in that you do. It's all opinion really.

Udons usual style is far more colorful and loose than the Metroid series is accustomed to. For a game that places heavy focus on atmosphere and alien worlds, I'd prefer something with more realism that incorporates the level of detail that Retro pulled off spectacularly. Either that or a more abstract, gothic style that emphasizes the isolated and alien feel of the planet.

I'd love to see the series pull off something like this-
    http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/082/2/a/Structures_1_by_artozi.jpg
    http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/086/3/b/Powercore_terminal_by_eWKn.jpg
    http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/114/d/a/Alien_Jungle_by_Joshk92.jpg

Though I would definitely take something in the style of that VENT Pinup over Other M's art direction.

    Udon Can do Just that.

    (Art of Capcom 2 Colors)

And Besides,The art Style of "Gamepro Cover Shooters" and "Smash Bros" Would Fit Perfectley for a Metroid Game,Albeit with a Slightly Darker Tone.

Edit: Why Did i Reply to my own Comment?...Bah.

Really? I don't agree. Of course it's your opinion, but I think it's too loose and just the way Samus appears doesn't seem right to me. Still, the Megaman work and the Sonic drawings are nice.

Why is that?,Samus Looks FANTASTIC in Both Pictures: Smash Bros and Gamepro Cover "Shooters" (I'm not Saying Your Opinion is Wrong,But...Why Dosen't it Seem right to you?)

It's not that the art is bad. I actually adore it.
The problem is that the style, if implemented in game, would not fit the mood or atmosphere the series is built around. There are tons of other better directions the art could go to portray the environments and tech.

Though look at Wind Waker,There were Alot of Skeptics at First But now,People Adore the cel-Shaded Zelda.

Gamepro Cover "Shooters" Art Style Could Really Work for a Metroid Game,But Alas,Until we See an Actual game With that Art Style,Skeptics Will be Skeptics.

Edit: The Way Samus Looks like in the "Smash Bros" Picture Could Also Definatly Work,Albeit with a Slightly Darker Tone.

What BonBon said, that's what I meant. The art is amazing, I really enjoy it, the style just isn't Metroid. I know you're saying LoZ, but that's flexible, and the whole theme can work either way. Matroid and cel-shade just doesn't go, Metorid is about new, dark world with aliens of varying kinds that are out to kill you. About exploration and bounty hunters, that kind of style just isn't for Metroid.

Wind Waker was also a lighthearted game, with an art style that complimented the simplistic writing and world the game was set in. It worked well because the tone of the series is already pretty cartoonish and colorful, with great flexibility due to the lack of any real continuity between the games. Cel Shading was a natural progression and worked great in context.

Metroid's established world isn't cheerful or fantastical; the universe it takes place in is alien and grim. Unless they do a dramatic shift in the mood and writing, the style your proposing wouldn't compliment it well at all.

And Yet the GBA Games like Metroid:Zero Mission and Metroid:Fusion...Don't Really Have Dark Visuals,Yet They Both Capture the Central Feeling of Metroid.

The UDON Art isn't Light-Hearted,Yet it's not Too Dark either. It's PERFECT For a Metroid Game.

It's not gritty enough for Metroid.

Perhaps you just have a different perceived image, but when I perceive Metroid I feel this deep feeling of techno-mystery, intrigue, and solace.

Metroid Does not Need to look like Killzone in Order to be...well,Metroid.

And As I've Said,The GBA Metroid Games aren't Gritty and Yet...They are Metroid,They Capture the central Feeling we all know and love.

Hell,Even Super Metroid Was not Gritty and yet it was a Metroid-Masterpiece (A Masterpiece in General i might add)

Isn't it widely agreed that the neon, animesque style used in Fusion and Zero Mission was the worst case of art direction the series?
Most fans and critics praise Super Metroid and Primes visuals far more than those two.
