I'd hardly call Final Fantasy a Sony franchise, and half of the Kingdom Hearts games are on Nintendo handhelds. There's also a noticeable lack of Uncharted, Sly Cooper and Jak on the poll.

Anyway, I have a boner for the Spyro trilogy.

    Simply pure faggotry.
No Resident Evil, Chrono Trigger, Jak and Daxtar, etc.

Kingdom Hearts is Square, not Sony.

Only good ones up there are LBP, Crash, and Spyro. Kingdom Hearts to an extent.

If anything Resident Evil would be Nintendo since Capcom signed a GameCube exclusivity contact with them over the Resident Evil franchise.

Resident Evil 1-3 were originally released on the Playstation, Resident Evil 4 was made for the Gamecube and got ported to other systems, and Resident Evil 5 hasn't even been on a Nintendo console.

Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear, Spyro, and Crash Bandicoot all aren't Sony franchises. Some of them were at one point, sure, but aren't anymore.

Plus you're missing actual franchises like God of War, Uncharted, Motorstorm, Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, PixelJunk, and Twisted Metal. Out of them all I'd say Uncharted (with its two games) is probably my favorite. Uncharted 2 was just so absolutely phenomenal that it's hard to say anything else.

And why is MAG on there? There's only been like, one game.

MAG?... How can you call a single game a franchise?

    @LK- just saw your post.

Anyways, everyone else has pointed out that most of those "franchises" aren't Sony's. And which ones are lacking. So I'll play along and pick FF.

Crash Bandicoot - Naughty Dog was acquired by Sony Computer Entertainment after the release of Crash Team Racing.

Spyro - Insomniac is now a subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment.

Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts - Yes, there are Square Enix games on Nintendo, but they are also on Sony products. I'd consider it both.

Metal Gear - Metal Gear was conceived by staff of Sony and the first games appeared on a Sony system, not to mention the fact that all of the Metal Gear games are on a Sony console. Ergo, it's a franchise of Sony's. =P :

Metal Gear 1 and 2: MSX (A Sony Computer). Yes, it was then ported to the NES, but received poor criticism.
Metal Gear Solid: Playstation, but ported to the GCN.
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and Peace Walker: PSP
Metal Gear Solid 3 - 5: PS2 and PS3, but ported to the XBox and PC as well.

So, most of the game on your list are wrong. Sowwy!

I'm not wrong because if these franchises were Sony's then we wouldn't see them on any other console. Therefor Spyro (as seen on Xbox and Gamecube), Crash Bandicoot (as seen on Xbox, Xbox 360 and Gamecube), Metal Gear (as seen on Gamecube, Gameboy, and Xbox), Final Fantasy (as seen on NES, SNES, Gameboy, DS, and Xbox 360), and Kingdom Hearts (as seen on DS and Gameboy) are all NOT Sony franchises as they've all been on other consoles.

And Final Fantasy is totally out of the question. They started on the NES, went to the SNES, then went to the PS1. There's 6 main Final Fantasy games for Nintendo platforms. It's absolutely nowhere close to a Sony franchise.

EDIT: It's almost like calling the Resident Evil franchise as "Sony's" because the first 3 games appeared the PS1. Resident Evil is not a Sony franchise, and never was.

Someone needs to wiki Metal Gear on the NES.

Of course that someone should be you, so you will feel like a dumbass.

    lol at bashing.

Anyway, I'm going with LittleBigPlanet, because that game is just so much freaking fun, and is most definitely a Playstation franchise ... or Sony franchise. Whatever.
