Ironically enough, the Sega Dreamcast had some of the best video games in history. |

OnLive is kind of a cloud console. The games are run on some big server and the video streamed to the box over the internet. It's only available in some areas of the US at the moment. Also it's a subscription service. Not sure if you have to buy individual games on top of the monthly payments. |

Yes, you do have to buy games on top of the monthly fee. Though I think when you first buy OnLive you get the first month free or something. Still, Ryan Davis on Giant Bomb said that the servers are laggy and is a not a better alternative to just playing the game on a console or PC. But it is only in Beta at the moment, so it could end up being a lot better. |

How new is the OnLive? I've never seen one shred of advertisements for it. |

D: !!! And man, the Dreamcast looked ace. The best bit was the VMU-- the memory card which slotted into the controller-- which had a little screen that would display different things depending on the game you were playing. For example, with Daytona USA 2001 it'd display a steering wheel which moved as you steered, and with Sonic Adventure it'd display a little running chao. My vote for the ugliest console goes to the original PS2. |

Original Xbox for me, closely followed by the PS2. It's just such a huge brick, even the big badass green X can't save it. |

I dunno. Looking back at it now, the original Xbox does look huge and boxy. But whenever I went over my friends house and he had his sitting in his entertainment system, it looked so...bad ass. Then again, you could really only see the green orb because his entire entertainment system was black, sooo... I'm not fond of the 360's design, at all. To be honest, it looks like a white box that someone sat on when it was laying flat. Don't really like the original PS3's look either - it looks like a grill. But of them all, I think the dreamcast's actual console design is horrid to look at. It looks like someone put a scale ontop of a box and called it a day. |

I so dont get the screen on the controller. What is the point? Then again, I know nothing about the Dreamcast's functions. |

As Katz stated, the VMU played back information during gameplay - whether it be an animation (such as a chao in your chao garden in Sonic Adventure/2) or spinning rings for when you're collecting them in Sonic. It'd also show you information about the card itself - how much space you had left, what save files were on it, etc. |

I just noticed that the Dreamcast controller only had one analog stick, so I wonder how the hell people played Quake on that thing. Ugliest controller definitely goes to the original Xbox controller. I remember when I first held it my hands were too small to press the buttons. lol |

Not to mention the huge Xbox thing in the middle. Seriously, do we need to be reminded by some fugly thing in the middle of our gigantic controller what console we're playing? Interesting how they did a 360 (oh god awful pun) for the 360 controller. My god, that controller is pure gold. |
