So I searched this and I couldn't find any topics on this. So anyways yeah, you can discuss Metriod the Other M here. So far the game looks pretty good, and I am decently excited for this game. Hopefully the story is as good as the gameplay, which seems to be a problem with most Team Ninja games. Still, I have high hopes for this game.

Because Im a nitpicking bastard, I'm going to point out that the title is actually "Metroid: Other M," and that the game has no relation to Retro's Prime sub-series. As for the game itself, Im definitely looking foward to it. I'm quite a fan of the 2D Metroids, and the fact the same team would also be working along with Team Ninja for this installment excited the hell out of me. Especially since it's shaping up to be very similar to Metroid Fusion, which I adored. I can tell that the "missiles are only permitted in first person" mechanic is going to annoy the me to no end, though. I made my way through Super, Fusion, Zero Mission and Return of Samus by spamming them. Edited by BonBon, Jul 25 2010, 11:05 PM.

Probably has to do with the limited amount of buttons on the sideways Wiimote. I'm more interested in shooting the person who shot down the idea of using a Nunchuck. |

Because moles are awesome. Duh. Haven't you heard? That and it looks more of a beauty spot than a mole. Although may be the same thing...Whatever Might be because Team Ninja probably dislike perfect faces lol |

I'm loving the Ninja Gaiden feel to it. Probably going to get it, unless the reviews say otherwise. Oh, and I love how Samus has a voice. |

hey, yeah I'm also hyped for this game, always was since it was announced. Samus's voice is cool, but I have to admit the writing in the game ... is kinda cheesy, sometimes sounds like it was written by a fifth grader. Still, the game looks beautiful and even though the controls look a bit hard to get used to (play classically with the remote and point to the screen to go first-person), it looks like it will be fun to play that way, especially when you get to use those finishing moves (marked with awesome animation). On that point, you guys seen the Gametrailers exclusive trailer? http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=133233 Real epic ... and the Taste Testers all think the game is pretty awesome... http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=133199 and the reason that I think it's cheesy is through this ... (and because at the beginning of a cutscene or at least part of it, she says confession time ...) http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=133198 But that is nice to hear the whole backstory of Metroid prior to this game at least that which has to do with it. A lot of hands-on are really liking this game and from what I've read, I'm thinking average review score ... would be around 8.5, but I'm hoping it's only 'cause they got to play a little ... It was a must-buy for me the day it was announced though .

One thing that I personally would enjoy seeing is a metroid book series. That would make for a great tie-in, and might flesh out the characters, events, and samus' past a little more. |

Oh, and any pessimistic people should check out the wave beam podcast on the metroid database (http://www.metroid-database.com) for details concerning the game and to alter the negative attitude. |
