I think that game's called Portal. It's already good enough so I don't think we need Miyamoto wasting his time on that. I'm hoping for some kind of colorful platformer, mainly because i loved Super Mario Sunshine. That game was awesome. I wonder when they are going to make another because they should. |

I'm not sure if he'd do something like that, what with Kirby Epic Yarn coming. Too similar. I believe he'd want to step away from platformers, since he already has Mario for that. When someone says "New Franchise", we've got to think outside their box. And he has some pretty kooky ideas in his box. |

I don't think Nintendo would have a problem making an FPS ... just that they try new things ... and you find other devs follow them. |

Isn't Nintendo more of a family based company? I wouldn't think that they would create a FPS unless it was killing something like aliens or something. But they got the metroid series if they wanted to do that so I think it's not going to be anything FPS related, even though you all wish that it would be. |

An FPS doesn't have to be a war game or use modern weapons, like Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, or Gears. It could easily be something like Turok, where you are a time traveling Indian killing dinosaurs with a bow and arrow. They could just implement magical powers and make it something upbeat and silly, to be completely honest. The only requirement for an FPS is first person camera and long ranged weapons as the primary combat, the atmosphere and subject aren't set in stone. |

I only said "wartime" because Nintendo already has a FPS in a futuristic setting. =P |

Wartime is actually a pretty broad subject. I would kill to see a wartime shooter take place during the Battle of Troy or the Crusades. It wouldn't be Nintendo making it, but I'd like to see some company do it. Nintendo would just make a sequel to Yoshi's Safari if they wanted to experiment with the first person shooter genre, knowing how safe they like to play. Edited by BonBon, Aug 29 2010, 12:13 AM.

Yeah, someone already mentioned that. That's not Miyamoto, anyways. I still wonder what he'll come up with. |

I cannot wait for this next year. 2011 might be another great year for Nintendo as they have unveiled tons of great looking games. Nintendo's focus has always been imagination and characters that you can never forget. An FPS, to me anyway, doesn't have that same connection or feel that you can have playing things like Mario or Link, where you see the character and control whom they talk to or what enemies they kill and everything. I would be a bit disappointed if Nintendo started to dish out FPS games. Miyamoto has always used his imagination, and honestly, it's like an imagination of a child, and I think the games he will produce will make adults that have played Nintendo games their whole lives, feel a bit of nostalgia. I mean, that's why I think my peers at school say that Nintendo is for pussies, especially because of WiiFit and Wii Sports and the playful games they release, but I love that kind of stuff, ya know. I hope that Miyamoto and Nintendo can make 2011 a year that games will never forget. Good luck to them, and I can't wait to see what they have for us next. |

2011 already looks like that kinda year. FPS games have become redundant ... there's no colour, all grungy, brown, and not much imagination and creativity. |

I know what you mean! I watch my friends play FPS's and I can't believe that they think it's entertaining. All the brown and dark gets a little tiring and boring. |
