If it were to be a different game and just a simple remake, they could do wonderful things with it. For example, bring a certain character or two back? Although the controls may be a slight problem, as many people have preferred configurations.

It seems like a good idea. Defiantly something that would interest fellow Smashers. They came out with a similar game a while ago called "Jump Ultimate Stars" which is basically the same concept but using characters from the Shonen Jump anime magazine. It had a good sense of basic controls, but it was lacking a certain quality. But if they do make a Smash Brothers game for the DS we can all expect the graphics to slightly resemble those of the N64 version of the game. Not that I'm complaining though, as long as they can pull off a simple yet decent game, while keeping some familiar characteristics from the previous games, I'll be satisfied. |

That might be a little weird with controls, but as long as you can connect and play multiplayer (which is the best part) it might just work. |

Really it would be much better suited to the 3ds , better graphics and much more space on a cartridge for extra characters and so on . Its really to late in the ds's life span , Im sure they have tested it with the ds at some point nad it most likely didnt work to well

Hehe, my friend bought that game Anyway, I think this would be a great idea. Controls wouldn't be that bad, and it would have decent graphics on the 3DS. I also don't think they should make it for the Ds anymore, because it would take a couple years to make and the 3ds would already be a sensation by then. I also think it would be cool if they just made a remake of ssbm, they could also maybe have ssb64 on the 3ds vc. Edited by General Guy, Jan 27 2011, 10:56 PM.

Agreed. The remakes are always sellers and they cost little to make. |

Id rather have new one , extra characters , stages and so on , though the others could go on the 3ds virtual console ( the shop thing itself is called something like nintendo e shop ) |

I say no. I would much rather it be on the Wii or next gen home console. While it would be cool to go anywhere with Smash Bros. in your pocket, the game is mostly a multiplayer game, regardless if you play it online or with friends at your house. The difficulty of finding friends with a DS and the game would be more annoying than just having a extra controller and playing it on a home console. Also, i think less people would play online due to the specific wifi connection you need to use internet on the DSi. Plus i would rather better graphics and more memory capacity that the home console can offer vs the handheld. |
