In Brawl, that wouldn't have been that much of a problem. Most everyone's floaty, really.

Well, anyone who should be. People who are bulky do feel like that, for example, Ike, Bowser, DK, Ganondorf ...

Oh .. guess my mind was somewhere else while posting. I meant to say the characters I posted feel heavy and bulky like they should.

Yeah. I'd agree with that. Except for Ike. He can be a bit floaty at times. I should know, as he's one of my most used characters.

Yeah, I guess you're right, though he does feel very heavy when he runs, and you can feel the weight when he swings his sword.

Of course. He's the Anti-Marth. Slow, yet strong.

The odd thing is, though, that they used the PoR Ike. The PoR Ike is actually considered one of the faster units in PoR, outclassing RD Ike in speed. RD Ike is stronger and a tad better rounded than Ike of PoR. So ... they should've modeled Ike in Brawl after RD Ike ...

    Just my two FE cents.

And thus the reason I was hoping alternate costumes would make an appearance in Brawl. You could play as Ike modeled in PoR or Ike modeled in RD. Alternate costumes would be an amazing addition for so many characters.

    SSB64: Ness and Fox
    Melee: Young Link and Sheik
Brawl: I don't take my brawling that serious anymore, so I use Toon Link (Only Bombs), Lolimar (Pikminless Olimar,) and Captain Falcon (Only Falcon Punch)

When i do play seriously, though, I use Fox, Yoshi, and Diddy Kong

I didn't know Brawl was a "serious" fighting game.

One of the dictionary definitions for the word "serious" states this.

    Quote:

requiring thought, concentration, or application: serious reading; a serious task.

When I play Brawl, I usually apply myself while playing. One definition for apply is this.

    Quote:

to devote or employ diligently or with close attention: to apply one's mind to a problem; to apply oneself to a task.

So, when I'm play Brawl, I'm usually devoting close attention to my every move, so I can properly play until the match's end.

The way I see it, Brawl is a pretty "serious" game. Of course, this is just my opinion.

    No problem.

Just trying to clear up any preconceived notions on what Brawl is. Because the reality is, Brawl is the continuation of a good series that deserves it's place in gaming history. In the opinion of most, and through sales alone, it is widely considered to be the definition of a "good game".
