Don't you agree, Zach?

I don't use much strategy in Pokemon games. The most I do is teach moves that counter a Pokemon's weakness. EX: teach Machamp Stone Edge to counter flying types |

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod! -afrad15 | |

Only one of my Pokemon isn't on NU so I'll just assume my team sucks. But I love them. |

Hi! If anyone's got time, would they please rate my team? Meganium Gender: Male Nature: Bashful Attacks:Magical Leaf Earthquake Frenzy Plant Synthesis Item: Miracle Seed Wigglytuff Gender: Female Nature: Modest Attacks:Return Hyper Beam Sing Rest Item: Leftovers Raichu Gender: Male Nature: Lonely Attacks:Thunderbolt Shock Wave ? Thunder Wave Item: Magnet Misdreavus Gender: Female Nature: Bold Attacks:Shadow Ball Psychic Confuse Ray Mean Look Item: Spell Tag Suicune Gender: None Nature: Serious Attacks:Surf Ice Beam Blizzard Rain Dance Item: Nevermeltice Lugia Gender: None Nature: Modest Attacks:Extrasensory Surf Aeroblast Fly Item:Sharp Beak Thank you for your comments Smoothz, they're certainly helpful! Once they reach the right level, I'll definitely Suicune the Extrasensory and Lugia the Recover. As for Raichu, I'll give him Grass Knot when I find it on Rt11 and I've already exchanged Wigglytuff's Body Slam for Hyper Beam. I don't really want to leave Meganium with just one grass move, since it'll be harder in the story mode if I don't have both a medium and a strong move. Only things I can't do are take away Lugia's flying attacks (Aeroblast is awesome and I need him to know Fly) or evolve Misdreavus... She's soooo sweeeet...

Promise I'll rate it tomorrow, sorry I just had a question; What berry was it that eliminates or removes EV's again? EDIT: Here's the team rating I promised; Meganium Bashful is a neutral nature, so I suppose that's ok? Moves are pretty good, but again, recommended you only have 1 grass attack. I'd take away either Magical Leaf or Frenzy Plant, you can keep Synthesis. Replace it with Light Screen, Reflect or Body Slam, maybe even Rock Climb if you need a Pokemon with the HM. Wigglytuff Ok...Modest nature decreases attack and increases special attack, all of your attacks are physical, so...the nature if kind of the opposite of what you need. Either switch its moves to special attacks, or breed an Adamant Wiggilytuff. Raichu Honestly, Raichu's moves are mainly Electric, but still try to only keep 1 Electric move on it. Lonley boosts defense, but lowers attack, so keep them speical. So make it more like... Thunderbolt Thunder Wave Signal Beam Grass Knot/Swagger? Don't forget, confusing and paralysis are awesome combos, especially when they hit themselves for more. Midsdreavus Evolve this once you get all of its moves...it will help. Moves are good for the most part, but I don't know about Mean Look. If you want it so the roaming legendaries won't escape then keep it, if not, I'd swap it with something. Power Gem? Magical Leaf? Suicune Ok, as a general rule, I wouldn't use Blizzard, Thunder or Fire Blast unless there is a move you have that makes the hit rate 100%. For example, Rain Dance makes Thunder 100% hit rate (so be careful when using it on Suicune since it's weak the Electric) and Hail makes Blizzard 100% hit rate. This might work better... Rain Dance Surf Ice Beam Extrasensory/Calm Mind/Signal Beam Lugia Ok, for Lugia, I wouldn't bother with Surf, because its just...unnecessary. And again, try to keep only one type of each move on a Pokemon. I know, it must be hard to pick between Sky Attack and Aeroblast but here's what I recommend. Psychic Aeroblast Earthquake Shadow Ball/Ancient Power/ Recover Generally, those moves are just to cover weaknesses and the first two are for Same Attack Type Bonuses (aka, STAB). I only put recover there because Lugia has high Defence and Special Defense, so right when your opponent thinks they can win, you Recover xD. Hope that helps, if you have any questions, let me know. Honestly, unless you're using this team for competitivel battling, you're not going to lose a fight. The two legendaries secure you already, so even if your movesets are questionable, their sheer power is enough. Edited by smoothz, May 11 2010, 08:27 AM.

Smoothz, you've probably found it already, but the EV reducing Berries are as follows - Pomeg - HP Kelpsy - Attack Qualot - Defense Hondew - Special Attack Grepa - Special Defense Tamato - Speed Now, each one lowers its respective EV count by 10, starting at 100. This means that if, say, the Attack EV count is any amount higher than 100, the first Kelpsy Berry you use will lower it to exactly 100, then the next one will begin reducing EV's by 10. |

No I didn't so thank you but I don't quite understand...so you're saying... The first berry will take a stat at 255EV's down to 100? Then I'll need 10 more to take it to 0? |

Exactly. No matter how high the current EV count is, the first Berry will always lower it to 100 (assuming it's above 100 to begin with). Then yes, 10 more for each increment of 10 from 100 to 0. If the EV count is already below 100 (say 67), then the next berry will simply lower it by 10 (to 57), and so on. Sorry, my wording is very fuzzy D: |

Ok...no offence, but I wouldn't use that team. Its not the composition that is so bad, the move sets are just...odd. Ok so this is what I came up with; Typhlosion Ampharos Gengar/Alakazam Gyrarados/Scizor Exeggutor/Skarmory Machamp Yeah I made that randomly, I'll make movesets later....xD |

I know that the move sets are bad, it was in the original silver and i did'nt really play it that much and never used it for competitive battling (being that I really could'nt), I know that the move sets are horrible, but it was only to be used against npc's and their move sets were worse than mine =D. |

Hi guys I was wondering if you had any advice for my Pearl team Smoothz, since you were great last time... ![]() Empoleon Gender: Male Nature: Hasty Attacks:Surf Drill Peck Hydro Cannon Rain Dance Infernape Gender: Male Nature: Mild Attacks:Flamethrower Close Combat Blast Burn Sunny Day Gallade Gender: Male Nature: Sassy Attacks:Psycho Cut Psychic Swords Dance False Swipe Ampharos Gender: Male Nature: Modest Attacks:Thunderbolt Signal Beam Thunder Thunder Wave Torterra Gender: Male Nature: Impish Attacks:Energy Ball Crunch Frenzy Plant Earthquake Dragonite Gender: Male Nature: Naive Attacks:Dragon Claw Draco Meteor Surf Fly I was wondering if I should switch Energy Ball for Woodhammer? Also, I know you say a Pokémon should only be a Sp Attacker or Physical Attacker, but Infernape's stats for both are equal... Edited by golden_kitsune, May 15 2010, 02:45 PM.

Fuck You. And Can I Have This Dance?
|
None of your teams have this: Scizor @ Choice Band Ability: Technician EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - U-turn - Bullet Punch - Superpower - Pursuit or this: Scizor @ Life Orb Ability: Technician EVs: 32 HP/252 Atk/226 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Bullet Punch - Swords Dance - X-Scissor - Roost therefore all teams here fail |
