Some people do it with Legos. I saw one guy who worked at a store, that stacked the soda can boxes so to make Mario Sprites. But your video really takes the cake because it is animated, smooth, and over-all brilliant.

It doesn't have pauses like some stop motion can have if it's not done precisely enough. Like, if there isn't enough frames. It must have took a long time. Brilliant job.
