Hey, I'm new here. I'm 21 years old at the moment, and have been playing my whole life!
The consoles (and PC and Mac) I got:
NES, SNES, N64, GBA, Wii, Nintendo DSi, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, PC and Mac.

Favourite consoles must be SNES and DS. PS3 is a good media station, but it doesn't really give me that console feeling. I also bought a Xbox 360 to play Perfect Dark online and with achievements, and I really liked PD, but the Xbox 360 as a console I didn't like at all!

    Favourite game(series):
Super Mario (Galaxy as favourite, LOVE that one!)
Zelda (Wind Waker or A Link to the Past)
    Half-Life (HL2 as fav)
    StarCraft (Brood War as fav)
Bit.Trip (Haven't really tried out the other so much, so Beat as fav, at least for the moment)
Contra (3 and 4 as favs)

    and ofcourse so many more...

I also study music, ride snowboard and BMX and like to compose music. I also like films(especially german expressionist films from the 20s) and many TV series(The Wire and The Prisoner as favourites, but also many british humour shows)

So...that's a little bit about me, don't know why I bothered to write that :P
Check my signature for games I'm playing at the moment.

    Instrument and genre! :P
I play guitar(jazz), piano(classical), bassoon(classical), bass (drum and bass-band), and I also got many exotic instruments, like the gambian kora, but I don't play them that often and practice like I do with the others.

And yeah, Galaxy is just extraordinary! I didn't really hear much about it before it was released, but I bought it the day it came out and it blew my mind! Luckily, that week I was just doing a singing-job(you blow air when you sing, so I guess technically it was a blowjob :O ) so I would sing for one hour in the evening, and play Super Mario Galaxy the rest of the day :P

I play piano also (though that's all I play). Mostly, I ear-play video game music, though (I most recently learned Kokiri Forest from OoT :>).

Anyway, yes, Galaxy was an incredibly beautiful game! It blew my mind also :D I especially love all its delicious orchestrated music (Melty Molten Galaxy and Bouy Base are a couple favorites).

    Genre?

For trumpet I play jazz and band type of stuff, and sometimes musicals. The same goes for flute, saxophone, baritone, and clarinet. I just started violin, but i plan to get into classical. For guitar and bass, I play alternative rock stuff and sometimes punk rock.

Cool! Who's your favourite musicians then?

I just love Wes Montgomery and Django Reinhardt, but maybe especially Reinhardt! Here's a link to a song he wrote:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEzsPGHsi90
It was also featured in Chocolat, where Johnny Depp played it!

Oh, and I forgot to add a pic in the first post, so here it is:

    They are definitely good musicians!

Both Berlioz and Dvorak are great composers! I actually wrote a text about Berlioz' Symphonie Fantastique a few months ago. What a...erm, fantastic symphony! And I just love Dvoraks ninth symphony! And his slavonic dances! I've played a few of those on piano. And also, his Mass in D major is a very much forgotten piece that I was so lucky to be a part of performing a few years ago. What a great mass! Maybe I can find the recording we did and upload it later. Damn, I'm too nerdy...8)

I also love Grieg, Beethoven and so many others...!

For rock-music I like the 60s the best! I love the band Love, especially their album from 1967 called Forever Changes! And also Pink Floyds first album, Piper at the Gates of Dawn got a very strange and psychedelic mood. Lately I've been listening more to electronic music like Shpongle, Aphex Twin, Younger Brother and Autechre.

Aw, you're not too nerdy, sir. Music's a universal language and the most amazing thing ever.

Lately, I haven't really listened to too much music. I'm getting ready to graduate from high school and my school's musical is this weekend, so I have little time to do anything. :(

I haven't listened to too much music lately myself, because I felt that I needed a break, so this week I've just been playing Okami, Super Mario Sunshine and StarCraft, riding snowboard, and cross-country skiing. But from tuesday it will be more music: I'm going to compose, record and mix an album that has to be done by the 15th of May, I also have a concert sometime in May that I have to prepare for, and one ethno-music concert this month. And I study music too, so it will be alot of music the next months :P

    I love music!

My, my; you're quite the busy person. One moment you're recording music for an album, the next you're traversing the country on skies, then you're putting on two concerts. And in your spare time you're cleaning tropical islands of filthy, goopy pollutants, or fending off demons.

I'd bet dull moments are far and few ;D
