Meh. I liked the music style. Upbeat, kinda jazzy. The song itself, however, just didn't grab me. The singer's voice was off and on for me. At first it kind of annoyed me. Then as it went on it got better. Then it got boring. I don't really have an explanation for why it had that effect on me. Like I said though, nice to see a remix that doesn't forced into being techno or something. Okay, so this next song is from of the kind of experimental groups I like. That said, I've no idea whether the next person will find it entertaining or annoying. This thread's for exploring though sooooo... The Box - Fad Gadget or you can try this version, which isn't quite so harsh. Edited by Picklegod, Oct 7 2011, 05:42 PM.

Yeah, I didn't care for it. At first I thought I liked it, the music was sounding pretty cool. But I couldn't get over the guy's voice...It just got worse for me the louder he got. What little of the lyrics I could understand though sounded pretty awesome. Chemical Plant Zone - Retro Remix Revue Edited by MetaZora, Oct 8 2011, 07:08 PM.

I liked it. It didn't really improve upon the original in anyway or make it significantly different, which is something that I think remixes should strive for. That said, the creator did a good job of keeping the same unique sort of sound scheme from the level. It was enjoyable, just not enough for me to want to listen to it over the original. Dammit Bonsly, you keep putting me in precarious positions by giving me songs that I literally can't think of anything they could improve upon. Another classic song and this the original version is still the best imo.My friend who is all into dubstep showed me this and said I would probably like it. While it's not dubstep (I think of dubstep as the screamo of the electronic world. I'm not a huge fan), I was speechless about a minute and a half in. If you want to just skip out after the first 3 or 4 minutes I will understand. Zedd - The Legend of Zelda Edited by MetaZora, Oct 12 2011, 01:45 PM.

That was interesting. I liked it, but the Legend of Zelda theme can only be portrayed so many ways. This might have been a bit of a reach, but all in all, I liked it. I'm not too into this type of music, but I did enjoy that for the most part. Out of 10 I'd give it a seven. NO MORE CLASSICS FOR YOU. Finally, thank you! Now then, I absolutely loathed everything about this song. It just sucked complete and total ass. I kid. I actually really like this song. I was wondering where I had heard it, then I saw all the spongebob movie comments. Duh. But it's a great song. The guy's voice kinda weirds me out a little, but then again the song wouldn't be the same I think. It's simple yet catchy. I like it.Dead Man's Party - Oingo Boingo You'll have to excuse the several horrid attempts at dancing.. it was the 80's.. I've been hearing this on the radio a lot lately with it being October and what not. |

Ah, you're speaking my language. Love the 80's. Love Oingo Boingo. Danny Elfman's got such an awesome voice. This song is really catchy too. It'll probably be stuck in my head the rest of the day. In summary, awesome song. The Rocky Road to Dublin - The Dubliners Apologies if you don't like Irish folk music. |

Agreed the 80's are awesome. But wow. I can honestly say I don't think I have ever listened to Irish Folk music before, but that was fucking sick. I couldn't understand a godamn word that was said, but I loved every second of it. I was also surprised by how fast the song was. I will definitely be showing that to some friends. This is from one of my all time favorite bands, and this song was a large part of one of my favorite moments in gaming. I had been trying to beat the last level of the original Super Mario Bros. pretty much all day, (I did the 1-up trick) and I was listening to my ipod through my stereo. It was cycling through Styx and finally this song came on and about halfway through I finally beat the game. My friend was speechless just because the lyrics were a perfect summary of that day. It was hilarious. Too Much Time on My Hands - Styx Edited by MetaZora, Oct 13 2011, 12:09 PM.

Haha, yup. Really an appropriate song. Anyway, I absolutely love Styx. This song is up there as one my favorites by them. It's one that you can listen to all the time without getting sick of it. Catchy, energetic, and I really can't think of anything wrong with it. Just an all around great song. No More Words - Berlin |

Yeah, I didn't get it. I just found the characters, lyrics, and singing mildly obnoxious, the only thing I was even remotely interested in was the actual gameplay footage. I didn't really like that. Up From Below - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. Yep, another song by this group. I like this one, but I'll understand if you guys think its kind a boring. |

Don't really care for it. I wouldn't choose to listen to it, but it's not awful or anything. It's got a kind of... I guess "indie" sound to it that I don't usually go for. I get the feeling that I might like the song if it was done in a different style. Like more pop-like or something like that. I don't know. Not a bad voice though. Walking in L.A. - Missing Persons Yay! More 80's! |

Oh, boy, that certainly was the 80s, wasn't it. I guess I just like its 80's energy but I am not sure I like the song itself. It was definitely repetitive, but I can't say that I hate it. I guess my reaction was indifferent. Would I listen to it again? Probably not, but maybe. Greenback Boogie - Ima Robot. This is the opening theme song to one of my favorite shows, Suits. I really liked that. It's the kind of song that I might find popping into my head while I'm spacing out in class. It doesn't really build up to a climax or anything, but in this case it's for the better. It gets in a groove that works and sticks with it. Subdued, but will still get your foot tapping. I can easily see myself listening to it again. Can't say I'm at all familiar with the show though. Ain't That a Kick in the Head - Dean Martin |
