    Hey, here's my problem.

So, i've played almost every pokemon game, but i've used emulators to play. But this trading issue started to bug me a lot with some pokemon are not available on other versions, so i'll get a Nintendo DS soon. What i want to do is to get Charizard and Arbok from FireRed, Blaziken, Seviper and Salamence from Sapphire, Luxray and Garchomp from Platinum to use in SoulSilver. And get god d**n Gengar and Machamp ! What am i supposed to do ? Bear in mind that i have no GBA or any of the games.

Unfortunately, the only way I see possible would be to get a GBA Flash cart, transfer your save files onto the GBA flash cart, and then distribute the pokemon from your flashcart to your desired game. You'll NEED a GBA flash cart. You don't need a GBA itself, but, as long as you don't get a DSi (as they lack the cartridge slot for GBA games), then you might be able to pull it off. I don't believe there are any current Virtual GBA to Physical DS trade links available, but you could always search GBATemp or google.

That being said, emulation is bad, and you really shouldn't be discussing it here. Try searching the mentioned sites for some tools.

Yea, it was such a shame that i've been using emulators since now. i might get a GBA aswell with the DS. What if i play FireRed, Sapphire and Platinum again ? Then what should i do ? My actual question was this one ^_^

    Don't you agree, Zach?

Just to see if I understand correctly: You want to play Fire Red, Sapphire, and Platinum on their respective systems rather than as an emulator. You then want to trade the pokemon to Soul Silver. Is that right? No emulators involved?

If this is the case, then you'll need to migrate to Platinum from Fire Red and Sapphire. Then when you get Soul Silver you can trade from Platinum. If emulators are involved, then I can't help you, as I have no experience with emulators at all.

Okay, I'll be a little more detailed then.

First you need to find Pal Park in Platinum (You need Surf to get there for the first time. After that you can just use Fly.). I believe you need to get the National Dex before you can use Pal Park (I haven't played in a while so you may want to double check that), which can be done by seeing all the pokemon in the region. Once you've done those things, you can use Pal Park.

Once you get the pokemon you want in Fire Red and Sapphire, it's really quite simple to migrate. Put the GPA game in the slot on the DS (NOT available on the DSi). Start up Platinum and at the main menu there should be a "Migrate from..." option. Click on that and then you can choose 6 pokemon to migrate. After you choose them and migrate, start your saved Platinum file and head to Pal Park. Talk to the park attendant and he'll give six park balls to catch the six pokemon in the park. After that, just go catch them!

So now you have them in Platinum. When you get Soul Silver, I believe it will be just like a normal trade so you'll need to have/borrow a second DS. I don't think there's any special criteria other than having your pokedex.

Does that answer your question? Hope it at least helps a little!
