In this case, there is a free perk that only reserves get. Free swag is always worth it.

It was nigh impossible to get Diamond and Pearl when it launched if you didn't pre order it. I remember coaxing a very attractive Gamestop employee to give me a copy. But it's all good. No need to reserve it this time around. Won't be getting a pokewalker though, but that's ok with me.

(For those who don't know, it allows you to earn "Watts" which can then be used to power the itemfinder and Pokéradar)
