Yeah yeah, we've heard your favorite pokemon is an eeveelution. But what about the others?

Well, the Heart Gold/ soul Silver versions are coming which makes me reminisce about my favorite pokemon. Make a list of your favorite pokemon. You can give your reasons or not depending on what you want to do. Organize them in whatever way you want and make it as long or as short as you want. If you need help, you can go to the official pokemon website, click on pokedex in the right and look at all of them. That's what I did. It's got pics and names and it's faster than Bulbapedia.

    Generation one:
Psyduck - My very first favorite pokemon. This was probably instilled by the english dubbed anime I watched when I was little. I felt bad for the poor thing and couldn't figure out why Misty was so mean to it! He was soo cute. I still have my stuffed Psyduck to this day.
Snorelax - Damn cute, I like the idea of sleeping on it. It also is one of my old faves.
Squirtle/Wortortle/Blastoise - My starter. Awesome personality in the anime.
Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur - Also a very cool pokemon and the sweetest of Ash's starters.
Gengar - I have no clue why. You'd think I'd be scared of it, but it's just cool to me.
Pikachu - How could you not love it? I didn't used to, but as I'm older I like him.
Vulpix/Nintails - Cute. Always in my party.
    Persian - I like kitties.
Hitmonlee - Coolest of the trio of fighting type, IMO.
    Lapras - Pretty
    Dragonair - Pretty
    Dragonite - Cute and cuddly
    Total: 12

    Generation two:
Tododile/Crocanaw/Frealigatr - My very first pokemon ever. Saved my ass in a lot of battles. I felt very close to this sprite on my Gameboy color, contantly praising it for good work. What is funny is I really don't like crocodiles.
Pichu - Cute. I like the baby pokes.
Togepi but mostly Togatec - Very cool pokemon. I didn't even know it could evolve and then I was like WTF? Awesome.
Sudowoodo - You know, I don't really know why.
    Espeon - Pretty
Umbreon - I was trying to level up Eevee to get an Espeon and it wouldn't evolve and wouldn't. I was very young when I had Silver (my first game) so I had no idea you had to make it happy in the day. I ended up getting it to evolve at night and by that time it had grown so much I needed it in my party. Ended up being my second in command and dealt with the psycic type Elite Four member all on its own. It's now my all time favorite.
    Entei - Looks like a lion :D
Lugia - One of my favorite legendaries.
    Total: 9

    Generation three:
Mudkip/Marshtomp/Swampert - My starter for Emerald.
Mightyena - Second in command for Emerald.
Makuhita - So cute. In my party.
Skitty/Delcatty - So cute. In my party.
Spinda - So cute. In my party.
Seviper - Cool and awesome. I dunno, I just really like it. In my party.
    Jirachi - Cutest legendary ever.
    Total: 7

    Generation four:
Piplup/Prinplup/Empoleon - My starter for Pearl.
Shinx/Luxio/Luxray - Second in command for Pearl.
    Munchlax - MUNCH?
Mantyke - So cute. One of my sister's favorites. I like manta rays.
Lickilicky - Saw one of the recent movies with my sister and we laughed a lot at the trainer when he ordered his pokemon to do stuff. It's pretty cute too.
Phione/Manaphy - Cute. I have a washcloth of it with Pikachu.
    Total: 6

    Generation five:
Snivy/Servine/Serperior - Chose this as my starter. This is my first non-water starter so it's honestly been a little tough getting used to the grass fighting style. Much to my awful training skills, it still carries my party through battles.
Dewott - The cutest of all of the starter evolutions.
Purrlion/Liepard - Cute for sure. However, I've had it in my party and it's not helping out much. Still deciding if it will be in my final match up.
Panpour/Simipour - I don't like monkeys much, but they're kind of cute. Plus I used him a lot in the beginning.
Scraggy/Scrafty! - Easily my favorite of the game. I fell in love when scraggy pulled his pants up and let them fall the first time. Now, he's leveled up quick and been a great asset to my team. Not only that, but I named mine Botcha. In Hawaiian, "botcha" means washing machine because of the sound it makes. I think this fits because of his little pants. Also he looks like a Botcha.
    Total: 5
Will add more later as I grow more attached to certain pokemon.

    Overall total: 41

Guess I like old school best and 4rd gen least. (This takes forever BTW).

    Next stop, the Twilight Zone
    Generation one:
Sandslash - Spiky and cool looking.
Dewgong - I don't know why but I love it.
    Vulpix/Ninetails - Adorable.
    Growlithe/Arcanine - Doggies.
Articuno - Probably the only legendary I really like.
    Haunter - Very cool
    Ponyta/Rapidash - Awesome designs.
    Jolteon - Spiky and awesome
Pidgeotto - I just find it cool.
Cubone/Marowak - I like how they wear skulls and carry bones.

    Generation 2:
    Quilava - So awesome.
    Furret - So adorable.
    Hoothoot/Noctowl - Interesting and awesome.
    Mareep - Fluffy and shocking.
    Natu/Xatu - Awesome type combination.
    Umbreon - Rebecca
    Houndour/Houndoom - More doggies.
    Phanpy - Cute
Lanturn - I like the type combination and sleek design.
    Skarmory - Very cool looking.

    Generation 3:
    Taillow/Swellow - Cool looking birds.
    Poochyena/Mightyena - More doggies.
Manectric - I like the design.

    Generation 4:
Starly/Staravia/Staraptor - I guess I just have a weak spot for regional birds.
    Leafeon - Cute.
    Glaceon - Also cute.

Almost everything from 3 and 4 suck.

    Frank Fly said something nasty!
    Generation I
Squirtle family- My favorite starter family. I never understood why Charmander-Charizard was way more popular. Wartortle has wings for ears and a squirell-like tail, and Blastoise has cannons built into him. Blastoise is more like a Godzilla monster than a Pokemon, which is what makes him so awesome.

Nidoran M- I just really like it, not sure why, it's just really cool.

Vileplume- It's so dark and eerie, and I tend to like Grass types. This is one of the most memorable grass types, in my opinion.

Poliwag family- My family has always liked frogs, and we used to do karate, so Poliwrath is pretty much a mixture of my family.

Bellsprout- A really goofy looking design, this Pokemon has a tower dedicated to it. It's that amazing.

Gastly family- Mainly Gengar, because he isn't just a Ghost Pokemon, he's THE Ghost Pokemon. Sure, Haunter looks scarier, but Gengar is pretty incredible.

Cubone-Marowak- Some of the more creative Pokemon in the franchise, they have really sad back stories for a kid's game. They also always have you thinking "what do they look like?" Until you realize it's probably just a Charmander.

Scyther- Every generation has the token "badass" Pokemon, and one can dispute that AMchamp may be the badass of Generation I, but Scyther was obviously meant to be the badass everyone wanted.

Lapras- My favorite pseudo-Legendary. Great design and great stats, what's not to like?

Vaporeon- I like all eeveelutions, but this one takes the cake. It can dissolve into water. Pretty awesome.

Dragonite- The way Gengar is THE Ghost, Dragonite is THE Dragon.

Mewtwo- Come on. I don't need to back myself up.

    Generation II
Cyndaquil- I love Cyndaquil. Not sure why but it appeals to me.

Ampharos- A cool design and some alright stats, and it's a sheep giraffe.

Jumpluff- On here mainly because of its surprisingly high speed.

Swinub- It's a hairy pig. Lawl.

Kingdra- One of the only old generation eveolutions I'll ever like.

    Sneasel- Again. "token badass"

    Generation III
Sceptile- My second favorite final evolution starter, if not my first favortie. Great design, and it exudes cool.

Tropius- The one non-starter Pokemon in Generation III that doesn't piss me off. It's the only Pokemon in this generation I feel is really original.

    Generation IV
Torterra- I like the bonsai on its back.

    Croagunk- again, I like frogs.

    Don't you agree, Zach?

    Gen 1
Squirtle: My first starter ever! I can't believe how long ago that was... Oh and the Squirtle Squad is just awesome.
Primeape: Loved him in the anime. Why does Ash always get rid of his awesome pokemon?
Machamp: Probably my newest favorite. I never used to like him until I got him in Pearl. I thought it was funny that the buffest pokemon of all is also the only one I caught with a pink pokeball. So I started using him in battles and found that I liked him.
Alakazam: My favorite psychic pokemon. Also I liked his levitation in Pokemon Stadium when he got hit.
    Haunter: Best ghost pokemon. PERIOD.
Magikarp/Gyarados: Magikarp is just so pathetic. I kind of feel sorry for it. But then he turns into Gyarados which is just amazing. I still remember the first anime episode with him. After that, everyone wanted Gyarados.
Mewtwo: He's always been my favorite legendary.

    Gen 2
Chikorita: My starter. Everyone was choosing Cyndaquil and I like to be different. :)
    Noctowl: Looks cool
Politoed: I have no idea. Just makes me smile.
    Espeon: Again, looks cool.
Slowking: I thought he was funny in the second movie.
Houndour: I don't care what you say, fire and dark is an awesome combination. I really don't like Houndoom though.
Ho-Oh: Never saw the appeal of Lugia. I always thought Ho-Oh was much cooler.

    Gen 3
Blaziken: I don't like the third generation games much, but Blaziken is one of the redeeming qualities.
    Taillow: Better than Pidgey
Ralts/Gardevoir: Spent forever looking for Ralts. I was upset when it turned into Kirlia, but was pleased with Gardevoir. She pulled me out of some tight spots.
    Slaking: Just funny
    Shedinja: Don't know why.

    Gen 4
Empoleon: Started with Piplup. Empoleon's been a huge help in battles.
Shinx/Luxio/Luxray: Been with me since the start of Pearl. Very rarely lets me down.
Roserade: Didn't expect to grow attached to her, but things change.
Riolu: Kinda cute. Too bad I don't like Lucario.
    Gallade: Looks cool.
Darkrai: My favorite dark pokemon (I choose to ignore his behavior the movie). He's the only reason I can beat my brother's insanely leveled up Rayquaza. When he's paired with my Machamp, they can do a lot of damage together.

Funny how we grow attached to our pokemon isn't it?

Completely. I love how you said your Luxray hardly ever lets you down. I get that feeling when one of my strongest pokemon gets confusion. I'm like, "C'mon. We've trained hard, don't blow it by hurting yourself now. Think clear." And if it still attacks the foe, I'm like all proud. LOL. I'm 19 years old and I still mentally talk to my pokes.

^ That's adorable. Aaaaand slightly creepy. But it's all good. :)

    Generation One.
Raichu: This is actually my favorite pokemon. I hated Pikachu, but once I evolved it into Raichu, I fell in love. It's not the strongest Pokemon, but it sure as hell is one of the most adorable ones. I've had one every game that I've owned, and I've tailored my first teams (the team's that I beat the game with) to include Raichu and play on it's strengths. It's one of the few pokemon that I actually own merchandise of (and fucking proud of it - me and a really, really, really close friend have matching shirts - Mine has a silhouette of Gardevoir in the back stroking Raichu's tail as he stands with his back against the view, and her's has the same image but with Raichu's silhouetted) and they're really the only pokemon cards that I collect. Raichu is just plain fucking awesome.

Squirtle Family - Still one of the coolest ideas ever. A small, cool ass turtle (although his backsprite looked fucking creepy as hell in the old games), an older, pimper turtle with wings on his head and an awesome tail, and a Huge turtle with huge water cannons on his back. My favorite starter out of any generations, and each incarnation of the family has served me well in the past.

Arcanine - One of my favorite pokemon, it's 1 of 2 of the only fire pokemon that I bothered to have in the first generation. It's adorable, fast, lethal, and above all, awesome. I actually named my dog Arcanine (which I then explained to my parents to be a mix between Archie (my uncle's friend) and Canine (duh), and they bought it) It's still one of the few fire pokemon ever seen on my teams.

Ninetales - It's simply awesome. There's really not much else to it. I remember watching the cartoons and seeing that one Ninetales created a girl out of an illusion and a mansion, and it was pretty cool. It's the only other pokemon besides Arcanine that's of the fire type that I ever really use. It's shiny form is pretty much the sexiest color out there.

Cloyster - It's always been a sub par pokemon, but I've always loved it's appearance. It's one of the few pokemon that I keep around, knowing it's hard to use in battle. It looked scary as all hell in it's Generation 1 Sprite, but I've always loved it.

Vaporeon - My first ever "tank", and my second prominent pure water pokemon. It's japanese name is funny as hell, but really, I fell in love with it after it took on the majority of the Elite Four by itself. Ever since then, I usually try and get one for my "main team" and have been using it ever since. And, in the anime, it could walk on water and the way it melted was fucking sweeet.

I'll update later with the other generations, got to run off for a bit.

    Living in Vandy Land
    Generation 1
    * Charmander Family - I never actually had Blue or Red version, but Yellow, so I never started with any of them. However, I think the first two evolutions in this family are very cool. Charizard I'm not really a fan of, though.
    * Squirtle Family - I thought this one was cool, too. I like all three stages of the evolution and I'd start with him if I chose to buy any of the original(or remakes) of the First Generation.
    * Pikachu/Raichu - Pikachu was my first poke-love. I remember struggling with Brock when playing through Yellow.
    * Sandshrew/Sandslash - I never actually used one while playing the first generation, but I think they're pretty cool. If I play through again, this will make an addition to my team.
    * Growlithe/Arcanine - Very cool.
    * Abra Family - Another favorite, though I never had the patience to level it up when I was playing.
    * Hitmonlee - The best of the Hitmon family, by far.
    * Scyther - The only bug pokemon I'd ever consider letting on one of my teams. I thought it was cool when I finally caught one in the safari.
    * Eevee Tree - I loved Eevee. I hated that when I borrowed my friend's Fire Red, I evolved it to Vaporeon just to satisfy having it's element. I thin it looks cooler as Flareon or Jolteon.
    * Kabuto/Kabutops - The cooler of the fossil family, in my opinion.
    * Dratini Family - I remember when I finally caught one in Yellow. Leveling it to a Dragonite which became my second toughest (Pika had it beat) felt like such an accomplishment to me. It seemed more legendary than the rest to me.
    * Chikorite Family - I think I only picked this team once for Gold Version that I sent to my Silver to help complete. Yet, I still like it.
    * Cyndaquil Family - I loved this one. It's my favorite starter to date.
    * Totodile Family - My second favorite starter. Also liked this one.
    * Lugia - The coolest of the legendary birds, in my opinion.

I do exactly the same thing! There are always a few pokemon in my party that I know I can rely on. When my trainees can't handle a battle, they just have to step in and finish up. If they're almost dead I mentally tell them to "hang on" and "just one more hit" etc. Maybe I'm just crazy. :P

    Psssh you mean Charizard FTW.

    Generation 1
Charmander, Charmeleon,Charizard - My first Pokemon ever. I love dragons and fire so he just fit perfectly. He is my all time favorite Pokemon.Also.
Pidgeot - Pidgeot was always my second pokemon in my line-up. why? He = win.
Arcanine - Cool looking fire dog of awesome.
Alakazam - He is a beast and the third pokemon in my generation 1 lineup.
Gengar - He and Alakazam being the only ones I ever really wanted out of the trade evolutions.
Hitmonchan - he was strong and the only fighting pokemon man enough to wear a skirt.
Scyther - He seemed really cool to me so I ran around the safari zone for two days to get him the first time.
Jolteon - I needed an electric pokemon and he looked cool.
Kabutops - he like an old scyther.

    Generation 2
Typhlosion - he looks like a big flaming bear.
    Sneasel - Awesome
Houdoom - Looks awesome, has awesome name.
Entei - Has a cool mustache.
Tyranitar - awesome... except you had to get him to like level 55 for his ass to evolve.
Ho-Oh - Shoots rainbows out of his ass.

    Generation 3
Blaziken - Fiery chicken that can kick your ass.
    Mightyena - awesome
Aggron - Big ass metal thing.
    Zangoose - badass
    Rayquaza - Dragon of awesome.

    Generation 4
Monfernape - I bet he throws fiery poo.
Garchomp - He looks cool as hell.
    Lucario - HADOUKEN
Rhyperior - He has a chance of shooting geodudes from his hand.
    Holy Crap I'm old :(

Psyduck was my favorite Pokemon, too! Everyone thinks it's dumb, but it's just pure awesome on the inside!

    Gen 1:
Psyduck - Cute, lovable, strong, courageous, and did I mention cute?
Flareon - Favorite out of the eeveelutions at the time, that was before Gen 2 ever came out.
Pikachu - Psyduck's counter-part. I love Pokemon that are amarillo!
Starters - I love all three of them, they were all awesome in their own way!
Lapras - One of the first Pokemon I ever saw that used Surf in the show (it's in the opening!), so it is my choice for my Surf-mobile in the games.
Articuno - The first of the bird trio, and also one of my favorites.
    Ditto - Breeding master

    Gen 2:
Espeon & Umbreon - Both were cool additions to the Eevee-bloodline. I especially loved Umbreon!
Starters - All three of them were cool yet again!
Lugia - I grew up thinking it was a water Pokemon, but despite it not being one, I still love it!
Murkrow - The first Dark Pokemon card I ever got
    Sentret - Lovably cute.
Noctowl - If you've noticed, night related Pokemon are my favorite!
Pichu - When I first saw this, I thought it was a Pikachu in a halloween costume. It is cute though :3
    Sneasel - Dark/Ice Pokemon = <3

    Gen 3:
Mudkip - The first starter I ever chose in Gen 3, and I still choose it over the others whenever I restart.
Kyogre - Yay for water legendary!
Minun & Plusle - They look like Pichus, but not quite Pichus. Still cute though!
Lunatone - I just love the night

    Gen 4:
    Honchkrow - Murkrow's evolution
Glaceon - Ice Eevee is awesome
Toxicroak - I've always wanted a frog Pokemon

I think that is all for my list, my main loves in a Pokemon is if it is a water/ice type, cute, or related to the night in some way.

Omg, this is the perfect forum for me. XD
    Okay, so, favorite pokemanz.

    Generation 1: Hunger for Thunder.
Pikachu - No, it isn't because of the anime and he's cute, he's just awesome, for his stats moves, he's just plain Epic Juice. A.K.A. EPIC THUNDER!!!!
Kabutops - Look at his freakin' hands!! They look like scythes! He's ridiculously crazy and awesome!!
Missingno. - I hope this one counts, but all it is, is that he's a glitch of epic-ness!
Mew - I SWEAR I try not to put Legends in here, but Mew is the cutest thing you cannot find in the original Red/Blue/Green.

    Generation 2: EPIC SAUCE.
Lugia - Dang it I HATE putting legends in this, but he IS my favorite bird, wether he would be legendary or not.
Typhlosion - A fire lizard, who the heck DOESN'T want one!?
Skarmory - The Steel bird of death, I nicknamed my Skarmory SCAR.
Totodile and his evo's - C'mon, this is too obvious, a Dinosaur-Alligator that can create Tidal waves.
Nine tails - I'm not sure if he appeared in Generation 1, but this graceful pokemon just HAS to make it, I mean, look at it's beauty!

    Generation 3: Where'd you go wrong? ._.
Mightyena - Okay, so far all the pokemon I listed seem about uber, trust me, I didn't see it coming. this one is just plain awesome, and pretty good in battles. xP
Mudkip - So I heard u liek Mudkipz?
    Swampert - So I heard u liek--HOLY!!!
Zigzagoon and whatever it's evo was - When I got Emerald the ONLY 2 pokemon I had were Mudkip and Zigzagoon, the rest were in my pc, something about Zigzagoon, idk.

    Generation 4: NU!!! UBER!!!!!!!!!! DX
Electivire - A huge chunk of batteries.
Rotom - Unlike others, Rotom is my favorite, because once you actually USE him once in a while, he's an okay pokemon.

Riolu/Lucario - No, it's not because they're kewl, they're just plain strong, and Riolu is cute though. xP
Darkrai - Dang! I was so close to keeping legends out of my favorites on this generation! Fine, he's a nightmare, who CAN'T love him? You should know he's one of my faves from the icon.

    Generation 5: ???
Zoroark - For one, this is one of the ONLY Gen 5 pokemon, two, he just seems alright looking.
Zorua - Looks like an Eevee Part magmorter Espeon with Dusknoir colors, he's THE ULTIMATE EEVEE!!!!
