crazy sexy, and sexy crazy Posts: 5,371 Group: Articuno Member #4,536 Joined: September 9, 2007 Coins 15	If you don't know what a Revamp sprite is, it is when you take an older sprite and edit it to look like it was from a more recent game, in this case the Pokemon games. I go a bit overboard when I do a revamp. Most people will just change the colors and maybe add some shading. I basically make an entirely new sprite on top of the old one. The first sprite is the actual sprite from the older Pokemon game, the 2nd was made by me. Brock's Yellow Revamp Pardon my French, but this sprite was a bitch to make. First off, whomever they hired at GameFreak to make the original sprite for Yellow knew nothing about human proportions. When was the last time you saw a guy who's head, body, and legs were the same size... Anywho, I also altered his outfit to match his new HeartGold and SoulSilver artwork. Red's Gold and Silver Revamp Ran into the same problem as Brock, but not quite as bad because Red is still a kid and that can sort of make up for his gigantic head, lol. I also redid his outfit to be correct with his Brawl and HG SS artwork. EDIT: Now that I'm looking at it again, I might have left the hat a bit to big... I might edit that later. Lapris' Japanese Red Revamp Really no complaints about this one. I only really had to alter the shell, the eyes, and a bit of the head. Riachu's Japanese Red Revamp This sprite is a few weeks old, and you might have seen it in some of my older topics. This one took almost an hour to get right. For some reason the Japanese Red sprite for Riachu was really, really, really, fat. Edited by Unsound M, Feb 1 2010, 07:58 PM.

I think they were aiming for a bit of a chibi-look for the characters (It is a kids game after all), that's why their proportions seem strange. And the Raichu does look a little strange... but I don't blame you. I always thought it was way too chubby and it's face was a little messed up. PS. Make one this hot, and I'll kiss you irl.
