It looks like it could be a Ghost or Psychic type Pokemon, it reminds me of those women in the Tower in Lavender Town.
Which reminds me of the good old days of the first gen, thank you for making me more depressed D:

8-bit music is so win, and so nostalgic. Every time I listen to songs from R/B/Y (like Lavender Town, Oak's Lab, St. Anne, etc.), I get overwhelming nostalgia. I'm glad HG/SS will let you change the music to the original 8-bit music.

Anyway, it looks more like a fighting type to me, having claws and being speedy-looking and all (not to mention the apparent ponytail). Maybe a Psychic(or Ghost or Dark)/Fighting? That'd be weird.

That's what I was thinking. That, or an evolution of Lucario.

I doubt it's an evolution to Lucario - if it is, OU is fucked.

It kinda looks like.....an evolution of Floatzel..

Or even another Hitmon-pokemon. Evolution of Tyrouge, I mean.

Oh, that reminds me of Eevee; I can't wait to see this gen's Eeveelutions. I really liked Glaceon and Leafeon from last gen.

    Don't you agree, Zach?

I forgot about the Eeveelutions. I personally think there's too many. If they make new ones, it better just be one.

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod!

NO! There needs to be 18 different types.

I kinda want a Dragon or Steel type, but I'm a little concerned with move sets.

Which brings me to another point - the 5th generation's going to have new moves. I'm interested to see how many moves they can make using the existing effects, and what new effects (weather, terrain, etc) will come in to play.

Hey, they have robots with long hair and hair ties - why not a pokemon?

That actually looks kinda cool - like an offbeat Sandslash.

I just hope we don't get any repeat animals - like turtles. We have enough turtles already. Let's move on.
    I lol'd I don't know why.

I want a crocodile pokemon, like a mean looking one, not like Totodile.

    Also, evolution for Tropius plz?

    AND NO MORE BABY POKEMON.

There most likely will be just one. I could go into a crazy long explination, but following the current pattern the only new Eeveelution that would make even an ounce of sense would be a Dragon Eevee.

If you really care why I think that then here.
    Spoiler: click to toggle

    Also, this made me lol

It's not an established Pattern - while Dragon is the only remaining Special type, it doesn't mean that they can't extend this trait to the other types. This is more apparent than ever now, where Physical and Special have been applied to moves; not pokemon types. Before generation 4, moves were classified depending on their type (where the current types of eevees are all special types + dragon), and the remaining types where physical. However, with Diamond and Pearl came the split - types were no longer classified as either special and physical - instead, individual moves were classified as either physical or special. That being said, it is completely possible that there be more evolutions of eevee, and that they proceed to move into the physical move set.

I doubt they will start with Physical, because I really don't think they are going to release 16 different eeveelutions. 7 is already cutting it a bit close.

No one thought they'd go 5 seasons out, either. I wouldn't expect anything less from them.

Even more of a pattern, however, is the way they've released eeveeloutions. Generation 1 had 3, Generation 2 had 2, skip a generation, generation 4 had 2, and generation 5 will have ___. Dragon seems more physical than any current type (with the exception of ice, all of the types have beams that trace back to common literature, where as ice is something physical and dragon wasn't really an archetype) I'm going for Dragon and Ghost.

If they didn't follow the pattern I would like a Ghost type more than anything.

Speaking of moves and types and everything, I wonder what they'll do with the competitive metagame? DP brought a lot of changes (namely the Physical/Special split), so I wonder if anything will change here.

Maybe some more items... New moves on old Pokemon...

I can't wait to see what the starters are. I'm betting on frog (water), koala (grass), and... Ah well, the fire can be anything, really.
