    The information revealed that you'll be able to catch version exclusives using that Dream feature, no? If so, that's a pretty awesome feature.

    I don't think it said version exculsives (at least Pokebeach didn't), but it did say Pokemon not in the Isshu dex. I'm guessing it's like an online Pokewalker, minus the pedometer.

    Also, a couple new scans came up, they're being translated now, so keep an eye out ;D

    EDIT - nevermind, they were translated already. They just give some info on your two childhood friends/rivals. The girl is actually a developing character, and she's different from the other happy, goody girls from the other games (in that she defies her father, can be unreliable, etc).

    But two new videos have surfaced, giving lots of insight into how things work (mainly battles) -

    But the camera zooming and panning looks better than I thought, seeing it in actual motion. And the Pokemon animations are much more in-depth than I thought they'd be as well! I was thinking the Pokemon would just move up and down a bit, but no, they seem to all have distinct personality to them :D The eagle's animation in the second video is absolutely gorgeous.

    Also, is that changing music I hear in the second video? When water otter's HP gets down low, the music suddenly changes to fit the intensity... :>

    That spritage is really fantastic though.... They morph to fit the camera viewing angle ever so slightly, all while they're moving around! AND THEY HAVE ATTACK ANIMATIONS (sorta) <3

    Also, in the first video, you can really see how they've updated the graphics (look at the room). Speaking of the room, the battles you have destroy it and leave things strewn everywhere... That's a really nice feature, I wonder if something similar will happen in battles elsewhere?

    That is a cool feature - it's similar to the feature that we were promised in Battle Revolution (where a hyper beam would leave the battle field scarred permanently, and buildings and other structures around the battle would collapse, etc)

    Also, that eagle is pretty much my favorite pokemon. Here's hoping it doesn't suck.

    Also, two new pokemon confirmed. Luvdisc evolution, wut?

    The camera works really well in battle. Some of the animations (like the firepigs) I KNOW will annoy me at some point in time, but it looks awesome. That crocodile looks so amazing. I'mma name mine Klaptrap.

    Some things I noticed about those two videos:

    1. Though the sprites are way better with animations and stuff, the over world's visuals are still terrible. Oh how I wish this was on the 3DS instead... Also, the attack animations aren't really animations. They seem the same as always.
    2. I like how the camera moves during battle. A nice little touch.
    3. When the music changes when your Pokemon is about to faint is a great idea.
    4. The music has a Ruby & Sapphire vibe to it which I like a lot.
    5. I'm getting sick of the same old conventions of "start in a small town, fight your rival" kind of thing.

    I also thought of a couple of things that would be cool to implement:

    1. Each Pokemon (or evolution chain) has one unique attack that no other Pokemon can use, all of which are ridiculously powerful. I know they already kind of do this with legendary Pokemon, but they should do it with all of them.
    2. They should make evolutions to Legendary Pokemon. Wouldn't that be sort of cool?

    Some legendaries do have evolutions - specifically Phione to Manaphy (though it can't evolve into Manaphy, it is, in fact, the pre evoultion.) I think as far as that is concerned, giving every single legendary would be stupid. An evolution for some of the lower powered legendaries, like the dogs and the birds would be cool, but for Lugia, Ho-Oh, and the reality triplets? Nooooooooooooo

    Unless Ho-Oh and Lugia get pre-evolutions. A baby phoenix would be fucking awesome.

    Also, I think I remember reading that the task in this game isn't to collect the 8 badges and battle the elite four, so they are switching the story up. And if you noticed, you have two rivals (like in Diamond/Platinum/Pearl), but they aren't constantly going up against you it seems, and they support you.

    Also about the rivals, they aren't just random people you don't care about anymore. They have actual characters (apparently the girl is a developing character, which is almost unheard of in main-series Pokemon).

    LK, I've said this before, but the reason they're releasing this on normal DS is so they can save the 3rd game for the 3DS. That way, it has a huge difference than the first two (unlike past '3rd games'), thus more reason for people to buy. It's a good marketing strategy, I think. Though I do agree that the overworld sprites look awkward.

    I also love the fact that the music has a Ruby/Sapphire feel to it. That's my favorite music in the main series :> Also, this means that if they do remake Ruby and Sapphire, they're going to keep the original feel to the music! The biggest thing I was worried about with an R/S remake was that they'd do D/P-styled music, instead of the horn-based, Latin-esque music of the 3rd gen. Not that I dislike D/P music, I just wanted R/S's music to have the same feel.

    And Ice, unfortunately, the gym badge/elite four was just a rumur. It's been confirmed that there is at the very least a champion (one of the character's (I think your boy childhood friend) text box said they wanted to be the champion). However! There is still a very good chance that the story won't revolve around doing this. The gyms could be something like necessary sidequests (oxymoron?). As in, you have to have a certain badge to be allowed access to some dangerous place you need to go for the story, or solely for the purpose of using an HM to progress.

    Every game seems exactly the same to me. But they just vamp up the graphics slightly
    The series is good... if you play one from each console. Not all of them...

    Also, they're changing lots of mechanics things this time around Tenabla, not just in graphics and presentation.

    Not only are there three new Pokemon (I <3<3<3 the swan), but there's a wonderful trailer. Just look at that intro; they really are pulling no stops this gen with presentation and graphics. No one can now say Pokemon has bad DS graphics 8>

    And kill me, but that Pokemon Musical thing looks adorable <3

    Also, the music is wonderful... I finally have confirmation that they're changing the musical style! It's less involved and 'hundred-things-at-once' feeling like 4th gen's music, plus it uses more horns :D


    EDIT - OMG CHANGING SEASONS

    Wild double battles are nice too. Oh and there's also footage of White Forest/Black City.

    That aphid Pokemon is beyond awesome. And the deer is beyond adorable. I can't wait to see their evos.

    Also, Victini, the #000 Pokemon, is Fire and Psychic type. Interesting combo!

    And there's official art of the evil team, Team Plasma. These guys seem really interesting... the name Plasma makes you think of futuristic-like things, but they are entirely medival themed. Their clothes resemble tunics/armor, and their emblem (on their chests) is a shield. Also, in the first video here, we see at the beginning a cutscene of a castle-like structure rising from the ground, and a crown being put on someone's head. Yep, definitely mideval themed.

    It seems like a distinction is being made between technology and naturalism in these games. Like, in Black, everything apparently has a more modern touch (and there's Black City), and in White, everything has a more rural look (and there's White Forest). Also, Zekrom, the black legend, looks robotic and all, while Reshiram, the white one, looks natural and animal-like. Now we have Team Plasma, with an old medival theme.

    This gen looks like it's actually going to have a really good story for once, or at least it has interesting themes running through it!
