you can go ahead and give me [i
all[/i] those newer Pokemon you love to hate, I don't care. I'm not trying to argue that they are creative, I'm just saying you're not going to tell me that the older gens were any more creative. If anything, the newer games are more creative - they just get the blame because they came last.
I never said anything about the first 2 generations and they're in no way perfect. But the designs of the newer ones are laughable. Totodile looks way better than that crocodile. And I want to see animals that haven't been turned into Pokemon yet. Like a dolphin. All I'm seeing new is a Zebra. I'm sorry for having an opinion I'll try not to next time.

Thanks! I grant thee permissiom to like Totodile more ;p

Nah, I said earlier I don't really care about preferences; that would just be stupid. Like Ice I wasn't directing that to you personally, but at the general attitude of fanhate, the 'they don't look pogeymanz' mindset, the foundations of the argument that the originals were more creative, not specifically anything you said. You can like the originals better all you want, that's perfectly fine, I just hate people saying that the older ones are more creative (which you didn't). Sorry for confusion :D

Oh, and we only know 14 of the new Pokemon, so I'm sure you'll see some non-pokefied animals become Pokefied.

Pokemon keep getting stupider and stupider, should be more simple and non-stupid, blah blah blah.

I wonder what the rest of these Gen 5 Pokemon look like.

Have any Pokemon looked good before now, though? Ever since the second generation, or even most of the first gen, I thought that every Pokemon looked a bit dumb. That's why I don't care about the look of most of the new Pokemon—I'm used to their bullshit designs already.

I still remain on the thought that - it's a creature; they aren't supposed to be attractive to humans, or cute and cuddly. Well, there are those few odd ones that have a thing for Gardevoir, but that's (I assume) because she is human like.

Hell, most of the animals pokemon are based off of aren't pretty either - if anything, GF made them a lot more easy on the eyes. Look at the mudfish. Those shits are disgusting looking. Mudkip's not.

Either way, I'm still stoked. I hope they show more at e3.

I started on the 3rd Gen (yeah yeah, pretty late), and they looked okay to me. Just seems that the older audience is getting shunned for those who've never played Pokemon before, so they don't realize how ridiculous some of the designs are.

Well, I like her cause she ended up becoming my main after the fighting gym in SS, and now she's my only normal Lv. 100 (as in, not legendary/starter). Then again, that's just me.

I know I'm not supposed to double post, but if i edit my previous one, no-one will read it...
I love most of the Pokémon, though i have to admit from Gen 3+ they started to look a little bit darker, almost like some of the digimon. I'm not complaining, I just don't like evil Pokémon... I remember an old tv episode, where Ekans of Team Rocket said "There are no bad Pokémon, just bad trainers". The creators seem to have forgotten that.

Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff/Clefairy and Clefable - why does no one complain about this?

Sorry, but these are just too adorable to complain about

Ahaha, Jigglypuff is one of my all-time favorite Pokemon actually (with Wigglytuff not too far behind because of PMD2); it's unbelievably adorable. I just hate it when people say the older Pokemon are more creative than the newer ones, so I was pointing out some examples that could easily be taken as uncreative. I still love all the first gen Pokes, though, as well as all the others :D

And I think the only Pokemon that's bad... would be Darkrai. Well, sort of. In the movie Rise of Darkrai he turned out to be good the whole time, but in PMD2 he was evil... Ah well.

Actually, a big theme of PMD2's story was that there were no truly bad Pokemon. I'll just have to finish it ;D

3 on 3 battles confirmed for Black and White.

    Holy shit.

    Talk about strategy.

Also confirmed, new pokemon, a new "online city mode", new attacks, and a new function in battle called shooter. (Including Pokemon, Run, Items, and Fight)

Japanese variety show Oha Suta has shown a new trailer for Pokémon Black & White which showed a video containing a lot of new Pokémon. We'll provide pictures shortly.
First we have Ononokusu (オノノクス), the mantis like Pokémon
Next is Doryuuzu (ドリュウズ) a mole with a giant claw on its tail
Next is Desukan (デスカーン), the sarcophagus-esque Pokémon with ghostly arms
Then Denchura (デンチュラ )is shown, which appears to be a Tarantula
Finally is Moguryu (モグリュー), the baby mole Pokémon seen in the below screenshot.
It appears that Doryuuzu may be Moguryu's evolution. It also revealed a Grass-type attack called Grass Mixer (グラスミキサー) and one called Drill Liner (ドリルライナー). We also know of a new are called White High-Link (ホワイトのハイリンク) which has your trainer transform into what may be a multiplayer avatar and the link up with the internet we mentioned earlier this month is called the Pokémon Global Link. Its functions are still unknown
It also confirms that there are now Three on Three battles. There is also a brand new option in the battle menu in what appeared to be a trainer battle. Along with Fight, Run & Pokémon and Shooter. It is unknown what Shooter is for or what use it has. These Pokémon have been added to the new Pokémon section with the little details we know.

I love the idea of the sarcophagus Pokemon! I wonder what type(s) it will have?

Also, the three on three battles are cool. But they're just now getting to this while other JRPGs have has 3 on 3 battles for a loooooooong time.

    Casual Bowser... oh, the horror!
The names of the new Pokemon games are going to be Pokemon Black and Pokemon White. No new Pokemon have been anounced yet. The game is actually going to be a real 3D game, meaning you can walk in more than four directions. The towns look like they are shaped like circles. It looks very different than any other previous Pokemon game.

The pokemon starters were released a while ago - that video shows all of the pokemon that we know about, and that link has more information on it.

@LK: True, but none of those systems are as delicated and complicated as Pokemon. You have your standard FF game, Tales and such, but none with so much hidden information as pokemon. I'm just worried that 3 on 3 battles will be too hard for some people. Then again, I don't care too much.

3 on 3 battles is an interesting concept, to say the least. As Ice said, it's going to require tons of strategy. Which will make it either a great addition or just plain awful, depending on how it pans out and when it'll be used.
