What starter would yall choose and why?
Unless I really don't like the evolutions, I am most likely going with the fire starter.

Well I always get the Grass one, because I like them the best usually. And this is no exception... Only that everyone else likes the Grass one this time too. Almost everywhere you look, the general consensus us that this Grass = awesome, Fire one = pretty good, Water one = awkward (sometimes adorable).

So now that everyone else is going with Grass I might have to reconsider :<

And since they did the opposite color mascot thing, now everyone's getting White because of Zekrom (the black one), which means I'll have to get Black now (I wanted White originally) D:

Wait till the 3rd game of the 5th Gen comes out, so you're more awesome?

That's what I'm doing this time around. I don't really need the new Pokemon game right now, so waiting till the 3rd one won't be a problem.

Spraking of the third one, this time it will be a huge boost from the first two, instead of only a bit.

This is because the third one will be made for the 3DS. Why are they releasing B/W on normal DS instead of waiting for 3DS? To save the third one for 3DS, so it has a better buyer appeal than ever before (huge graphical improvement). Why is B/W being made so 3D looking? To prepare for the third game's useage of the 3DS.

It's a very good marketing strategy. And no one had best complain that B/W's graphics are blurry and awkward, 'cause they're just the forerunners to a near Gamecube-powered version on the 3DS (if that turns out to be true anyway).

    I could never do that
If I see everyone talking about a certain game, and I don't understand what they are talking about, it just makes me want to go and play the game even more D:

    Really?

I know some of my internet friends have multi-convos on MSN, and I don't understand them some of the time for some games, but I just go along with it. Honestly, it's not hard to avoid the urge to buy the first games in the series instead of wait for the improved one.

I'm not going to choose my starter yet. I'm going to wait until I see what Pokemon are available in the first Pokedex. If there's a lot of great Fire Pokemon, I won't choose the fire starter. If there's a bunch of awesome water types, well, you know where this is going.

I think the secondary types is what's going to be the difference. If one of the starters has a really awesome type combo (like Water-Psychic or something), then I may take it either way.

This, but with grass. I almost never choose fire. Usually it's like this for me:
    Gen 1: water
    Gen 2: grass
    Gen 3: grass
    Gen 4: water

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod!

    Here is mine
    Gen 1 - Fire
    Gen 2 - Fire
    Gen 3 - Water
    Gen 4 - Water
Gen 5 (most likely) - Fire

Now if the release the evolutions and it turns out that the fire pig thingy looks absolutely awful fully evolved I will probably just go with the one that looks the coolest... I'm not one for strategy, I just like havening a party of Pokemon who I can look at and go, "Damn that is one badass team."

No. We're talking about Pokemon, not Zelda or Mario or Metroid. Pokemon requires you to enslave little monsters to battle against other little monsters. We've had the same game time after time, just new features and new little monsters to make your slaves. No reason to rush and get it.

Wow Picklegod, I was practically the same with my starters, except in Gen 1 I chose Bulbasaur, and in Gen 3 I chose Mudkip... I don't know who I'll get this time round... I'm wondering aout training a whole team of water pokémon...

I usually end up liking the water starter pokemon. I'm thinking I'll either take the fire or the grass one for Gen 5 though.
