The only starters that I never took to completely was the 2nd gen ones. From there, I leik most of them (subtle pun :o). Treecko is my favorite starter line of all gens (maybe because it even has an awesome second form, while most starters have boring second forms?), and after playing PMD2, Chimchar became a favorite of mine. That's not to say I'm absolutely in love with these new ones (though I do really like the Grass one). I like them a lot, but mostly because I want to like them a lot instead of hate on them. I'd rather just accept them and grow to love them than be mad the entire time. |

Every season had an attractive starter. I quite liked Cyndaquil and Totodile, Treecko, and....well, I didn't like anyone from the fourth reason, but the end result of Piplup is arguably one of the most bad ass fictional creatures, ever. |

I don't hope Pokemon dies, but I would like a new adventure without new pokemon. |

Foremost is the chromatic substance accomplishment to Picklegod! Pickle contributes to all parts of the forum, stays astir, and mostly is awful to everyone he meets. A wonderful, intelligent somebody, Pickle testament now better us with every day NF decisions. Approval Picklgod! -afrad15 | |

It's not going to die - and it's quite funny, actually. Ever since the first generation, people have complained about what the pokemon look like - they're based off of animals. If this generation was made first, and the first generation made for this one, every one that's complaining now would still be complaining. There are pokemon from all generations that look unattractive - if anything, more in the first one because it was their first shot at designing them. Either way, I'm stoked. |

Oh Ice, you always have such a wonderful opinion on things, and you know how to convey it so well :> And yes, Pokemon will not die. Why would Nintendo toss their number 2 money-making phenomena in the trash, especially now that it's at a high that it hasn't seen in years? Sure, they might stop making new Pokemon after a while, but they'll still make new games using existing Pokemon. After 5th gen comes, they'll have 600+ Pokemon to work with; certainly no shortage. I can't wait for the spin-offs of the coming gen though. IMO they are the best (well, PMD is anyway). I would love to see a PMD4, with another beautiful story and music and everything :> (by the way, I just thought I'd say that as far as Pokemon looks go, every Pokemon from the 3rd gen was made of awesome ;D) Edited by Togeshroob, May 23 2010, 12:39 PM.

I could never get into PMD (I think we've had this conversation before haha), but that's only because the gameplay isn't my cup of tea - I don't mind the story, and the music. I wouldn't mind another stadium like game - as long as it's well done like the first 2 for the 64. I didn't mind Revolution, but it wasn't worth the money in my opinion. |

Oh, the story and music at the beginning parts are nothing compared to later on (and, haha, yes we have had this conversation before. I hope you figured out that you can turn Vulpix's Roar off ;p) I agree about Revolution. There wasn't much substance to it, I don't think. There's been at least one stadium game each gen so far though, so I wouldn't be surprised if they have something for gen 5. A new type of spin-off would be great as well, since we are at 2 for PMD and 3 for Ranger, the main spin-offs. |

It would be nice if, at some point they would make an ultimate game in which you could legitimately catch every single pokemon in existence without having to trade, go to special events, or whatever. |

I think that the trading mechanic contributes to the whole "catch them all" appeal. Nintendo did trading justice with GTS, as it is much easier to find pokemon online that way than it is to go out and meet someone to trade. I like the division of the pokemon roster, but maybe making them easier to get would do them better. Though, to be completely fair, those "events" that Nintendo hosts do bring in revenue, so I don't think they'll rule that out altogether. As for a new stadium style game, I'd like something with a story, like Pokemon Coliseum, but have the robust connections that Battle Revolution sported. For spin off games, I'd like a game that actually utilized pokemon to traverse - not just surfing mind you, but using all of the moves available. I recently played a game called Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzanoha vs King Abaddon. In the game, you can recruit monsters (referred to as demons in this, and most SMT games) and use them in battle. They all have different powers, based on popular mythological characters. Outside of battle, however, each monster has one or two special abilities that can be used to investigate different cases. For example, a pyro order demon (something like a fire pokemon) has the ability to light up dark caves. Pagan Order demons (dark type pokemon) have the ability to read people's immediate thoughts, allowing you to figure out information that wouldn't be available to you else wise. Ice Order demons (ice pokemon) have the ability to create "cold shields" so that you can walk through volcanic like areas, and have the ability to freeze flaming objects. Now, pokemon has flash, and it works just well, so I'm not complaining - however, Flash is a move, not an inherent ability - it takes up a move slot. I think that all fire pokemon, to a certain extent, should be able to light up a cave without using a move slot. I think that using these type of abilities, a coliseum type game would be so much more indepth. There's 500+ pokemon, and a crap load of moves for them to use outside of battle. |

I believe that we have many Pokemon lovers on this website. This is a NINTENDO forums, and Pokemon is part of Nintendo, so we probably have some fans. I bet they don't want them to die. Anyways, I think they're kinda cute. |
