A new attack? Or a redone Water Pulse? Looks interesting either way.

Loving the city. Hopefully there'll be more than one big city.

    According to Serebii:

    Quote:

The official site has updated with clear images of the upcoming games; Pokémon Black and Pokémon White. These images cover both various areas in Isshu & Hiun City as well as various battle scenes. I have also updated the New Pokémon Page with higher resolution artwork of Tsutaja, Pokabu & Mijumaru. Click the picture to go to our Black & White pre-release picture page to navigate.
We also appear to have some clarification on the new ability Illusion. The official site states Zoroark will appear as a different Pokémon when it enters battle. The name of the opponent is different to hide the fact that it is Zoroark, but the type remains Dark.
It also appears that the sprites move slightly when attacking. To what extent remains unclear. We also have a name of the bridge, Sky Arrow Bridge which connects Hiun City to another city

That's a bad ass ability, and it'll make battling and catching it a lot more fun. And yeah, I guess there's more than one city. Static sprites, but apparently they move more when attacking. I'm hoping it's more than the "shrink and grow, glow and darken" effects from the previous games, but as long as there's some gameplay additions, I'll be happy.

For some reason, the images keep randomly appearing and disappearing for me. If you right click on each "Posted Image", you can click Copy image Location (in fire fox) and copy and paste that into your bar.

But for easier sake, here's the image links.

Am I the only one that still thinks that the sprites on the different camera angles look really stupid? Look at the picture where the trainer is looking at the giant bridge. Doesn't that look really weird? It seems that Game Freak doesn't make separate sprite for every camera angle, which makes a lot of the game look really funny.

I hope the pokemon actually MOVE when they attack, it would make the game look so much better.

Well, I think I've got the answer for some pokemon fans. Through the entire battle, the sprites do actually "breath."

Look at the second video :

    http://www.nintendoeverything.com/39612/

It also shows that "Illusion" ability. Man, I'm pretty psyched!

The camera is also dynamic - certain moves will make the camera zoom out, zoom in, etc. Also, the first video shows a new "market" place. People actually move out of your way (as opposed to you moving through them) and they actually talk to you as you pass by. Looking great!

Pokebeach has a third video ;D

    http://pokebeach.com/2010/05/pokemon-sunday-airs-new-black-and-white-info

(All three are there, and explained (with no adds and in high quality ;D)) The third one shows the girl walking down the market place (presumably in Huin City), and it shows how the characters talk and move out of the way. Plus, the market place and camera angle looks very good.

But the sprites constantly moving is better than what I had imagined! I was thinking more of just attack animations, but this is wonderful. After this, playing the older Pokemon games will feel so static :p The zooming in and out and panning the camera does makes the sprites look very good, I think.

This is going to be a fantastic 5th gen 8D

    Wowowowowowow.
I am pretty damn excited for this. The water starter looks kind of riciculous, but the other two look AWESOME.
    Can't wait.

It's nice to see they're improving the battle animations.

I personally don't like them though, I hope there's a way to turn them off.

Wow, that's different than I imagined. Looks very cool. The sprites actually move in battle now!

The market scene is pretty neat as well, though it doesn't look much different than the last gen.

I just hope the game doesn't get too complicated and big... It'll be hard playing the old games after this...

If you don't already think Pokemon is complicated, I bet Black and White will change your opinion.

Ahaha, the Pokemon competative metagame is one the most expansive, most complicated, and most variable ones out there, and it grows and advances all the further with each new generation.

And people complain Nintendo ignores its 'real gamer' audience ;o
