wow, they just continue going on and on with developing new pokemon games, i remember how pouplar pokemon were like 8 years ago, and now its still going stron today. I lost the touch after the first 151 pokemon were created though, you could really feel how gamefreaks and nintendo took their time and effort into designing each of them. when ruby/saphirre/emerald came out as well as diamond/pearl, a lot of the pokemon lost its charm and they became more like random creatures with no originality. All the first 151 pokemons had their own unique personality that you would remember them for.

Actually, I think some of the original 151 were random and unoriginal. Muk was just some purple sludge... Crabby was just, well, a crab... Seal didn't even bother having an interesting name... and so on and so on. The reason we like them so much more, or at least I do, is because they are our childhood (for most of us) and nostalgia is a strong force.

True enough, i will always have a special memory for the original 151 pokes, i grew up with the blue version and the first movie, which in my opinion still is the best, since it contains more depth than the newer movies.

I always loved the 1st and 2nd generations, newer pokemon are so retarded. (some are alright)

Probobass for example, this has got to be the WORST pokemon I have EVER seen.

I agree about the fire types. They always get the short end of the stick. Was there any new fire in the 4th gen aside from the starter, Magmortar, and Heatran (one you could find wild, I mean)?

Anyhow, we should be seeing the next new Pokemon this coming Sunday (Saturday night really, because this is on Pokemon Sunday, a show in Japan)! Last week's episode revealed that a new Pokemon will be shown next time. Still, it'll probably be a silhouette at first, but those are always fun too.

Not really... Besides from Heatran and the ape, the only new fire Pokemon from the 4th gen was just a new evelolution of Magmar; Magmortar...

Oh! I'm sooooo looking forward to that! I bet it'll be one legendary thing...

I have a huge copy pasta I made a while back explaining the pattern the eeveelutions have taken so far, but I'm to lazy to find it right now, so I'll just give you the short answer. If they do make another, it will be a Dragon type. I'm 99% sure.

I don't know why, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I enjoyed the 3rd generation Pokemon the most (I know I'm in the minority). I think it might be because I love Salamence and Metagross so much, plus the starter Pokemon were the best until the 4th generation. It was the first game to make the starters have odd type combos (water + ground, fire + fighting).

Y'know, I really enjoyed them too. The graphics blew my seven or eight year old mind (compared to R/B/Y and G/S/C), the music was pretty awesome, and in my opinion, the starters in the third gen were way cooler than in the fourth gen. It was also the final get all the gym badges and fight Team "insert-silly-word-here" pokemon game I could go through without getting tiered of the basic formula of the handhelds.

Oh, and a dragon type eeveelution would be so epic. What would it be called, do you think? Draconeon?

Hey, I thought I was alone here in 3rd gen love :D

That gen, regardless of having played it later than the 2nd gen, is my second most nostalgic gen (1st is 1st of course). I think it's because it started to mean more to me. That's the gen that I actually started finding friends who played it, and also, that's when the spin-offs really took flight. If you ever feel dissatisfied with a gen's Pokemon, just play a spin-off, you'll grow to love them.

Anyhow, people always complain about how bland and uninspired 3rd gen was, which I think is utterly stupid. They completely overhauled Pokemon with R/S/E in creating an entirely new region (unlike Johto) with a whole new set of native Pokemon, most if not all very well designed and thought out and completely creative. At least I think so.

And as Shmellow mentioned R/S/E had amazing music, some of my favorite in the main series. It's the main contributor to my nostalgia love for that gen. Most of it had a Latin-feel to it, which I very much liked :>

    Or maybe Wyverneon (pronounced 'wih-VER-neeon')?

You have no idea how popular that name (or at least ones like it) is. I've also seen Wyveon and Wyvereon. For some reason every person I talk to about a dragon eeveelution uses the word Wyvern to name it. Maybe it is because that is one of the most well know types of Pokemon.

In fact, I made one once.

Aw, I thought I was being creative, but I guess I wasn't the first to come up with that. But I can see why it's popular - None of the eeveelutions thus far having their actual type in there name (for instance, it's not Electriceon, it's Jolteon), and wyvern is one of the few other words (if there even are others) to attribute to dragons.

I guess you maybe could go with serpent in the name - Serpenteon? Eh, I like Wyverneon better :\

And I think your drawing is pretty good; that's probably close to what it would look like.

I think a dragon eevee evolution would be cool. I always liked dragon type pokemon for some reason, once even making a dragon team. I would add that pokemon in for sure.
